Indeed, though they should add in more beefy metal bang impact sounds and clangs on the 4th movie. The chest piece and the shoulder flaps on optimus lacked those type of sounds
It feels like in both Age of Extinction and The Last Knight the designers just started making them big robots instead of actual transformers. The designs in the first three movies, for the most part, actually tried to integrate vehicle mode kibble into the robot mode in an interesting way. These designs just either explode into a bunch of flying cubes or turn themselves inside out so they can hide all the vehicle mode bits the animators couldn't be bothered to integrate into the robot mode properly. Just look at Optimus Prime's new model for example. While I don't dislike his robot mode design, there's nothing about it that says it turns into a semi-truck besides the exhaust stacks on his back that you can't even see half the time. and I feel like every new design in this movie has this problem.
To be fair it’s annoying and more inconvenient having to repair your truck parts than just shoving them inside your torso so you won’t have to fix them
Clearly, _you_ didn't get the point of the particle transformations. The KSI Drone transformations look fake because they _are_ fake. They're not real Transformers with actual sparks; they're programmed and (initially) controlled by humans. Admittedly the film's special effects team didn't execute the concept that well, but it's still there.
@@R.J.Productions616 Exactly, don’t forget that greedy b*stard Lorenzo di Bonaventura too. I can tell and feel that Michael Bay was miserable when doing the last movies before Bumblebee, he even said that the third film was the conclusion but to studio executives and producers… they wanted more. I’m glad that Paramount and Bonaventura got what they deserved when they angered Hasbro after the massive failure of The Last Knight.
+Pedro Moreira Olyntho I would've loved to see a Kre-o game use that type of design, but apparently it was put in a live action film, and it looks ridiculous as hell, especially present day.
+Soaring Brick Studios Ha, I know right? Again, would've looked awesome with building block toys, but it dosen't nearly look as nice in live action. It looks pathetic that way to be honest.
I think that was the idea of having not looking like he transformes to give him a more organic and possibly human aspect of him which is why he is less blocky
"We are all targets now." You know what might make you a bigger target? Becoming a fresh new truck with bright blue paint and red flame decals. Ha, I KNEW Rainbow Dash was a Transformer, but no one believed me! Sure, we'll just let those robot dinosaurs run across China's countryside, then...
it's very telling the new transformations were a clutch, they were out of pipeline time to render full scale animations for so many transformations so they came up with a very lazy way render this new and "advanced" transformation... hell you can even see the mesh! they weren't even trying!
You can't see the mesh except with Stinger and that one red guy and (maybe) Galvatron. But then, the fact that it isn't consistent only makes it more annoying.
Is there such thing as too much CGI? Don't get me wrong, the CGI in this movie looks great, but it's so overboard rich that it seems to look visually impossible next to the realistic environment. I think they could have toned it down by overlapping the CGI with a bit of real metal to give it a more believable output. This is what they did with Doc Ock's tentacles in Spiderman 2 (2004), and the robotic arms, though extremely agile and powerful, were not fully CGI the entire time, which made them look and move more like real mechanical arms instead of just overpowered computer animated equipment.
+Adam Malkovich I feel that some shots of the earlier TF movies look less HD but also less fake than the shots here. Overlapping with real metal is actually a very smart idea
Actually, it's partly because the Transformers in this film had very little vehicle kibble on their bodies, making it harder to render lighting and such properly. Notice how "Evasion Mode" Optimus Prime at the beginning of the film looks a lot more "real" than "Knight" Optimus at the end.
Hey, do you guys noticed that all of the transformations from the real transformers are obscured in someway? By distance (1:05), by fire (0:34), by buildings (1:53), by lighting (0:39), by movement (1:13, 2:07), by shots, even their own transformations (0:25, 0:29, 1:21, 1:531:56, 2:33)! Heck, sometimes they just straight up cut away from them when they start to make little sense!(1:18) Hell, to really prove that it’s lazy, just look at the transformation at 1:36! Bumblebee turned into a nearly all black Camaro, but when he is finished transforming, his legs still have the pieces of his previous Camaro mode! They just left on a new chest and hoped nobody would notice!
Lockdown’s face turning into the giant cannon seems like a nod to original Megatron, there was no way to conceivably keep Megatron a gun for the movie series.
How to be lazy in transformation. 1. Lots of dust 2. Fast moving camera 3. Show last few parts move, which come out of nowhere. 4.make Transformed form looks completely generic, not even one part from car mode.
People always complain about the transformations in this movie being less real and more "jumpy/skippy" because they usually get cut or whatever. Many people believe that characters like Bee or Prime just didnt have full transformations because of their new robot modes being so cool and complex, this just isn't the case. The only movie where the transformations blended and had parts removed in the robot or vehicle forms is the first one, each movie after that had complete transformations. Bumblebee and Optimus in this movie just have some parts go *inside* their chest or back, just look at Primes first transformation in his new form.
You people complaining about the Partformers in this movies, how do you expect the humans' technology to mimic exactly what the Cybertronians have in terms of complex transformation? They want to surpass the Transformers, not to BE like them!
No transformation on Crosshairs and Hound in the entire film, Drift only transformers to his helicopter mode, Bee ' transforms ' into Stinger's robot mode after he scanned the new camero. Optimus ' transforms ' into a fresh new body with different transformation and body parts after he scanned the new truck and super lazy molecular transformation What the hell.......
I don't know why people got so angry about the man made transformers' transformations. Their anatomy is supposed to be different to cybertronians and something we haven't seen before. All transformations look fine to me. If it is easier to animate them that is just another thing.
The "mechanical" transformations are a lot more fun to watch than the "nano cloud" ones.
I think a single character with that would’ve been awesome because it’s different and special but having all of those is just meh
The nano clouds ones aren’t transformations
“Nano cloud” 😂😂
