IF you see someone doing something dishonourable, you call them out. Do not wait for someone else to do it, do it yourself! If something is unacceptable, DO NOT ACCEPT IT! He is calling for the improvement of every aspect of that environment. Everyone! And calling out the theft of his property, so that people understand the ills of the current environment, and know that this behaviour will not be tolerated, is one step towards bettering the situation! In answer to Stephen A.’s question, why should people go to Jackson State? They should go there because there is a new sheriff in town, one who is committed to changing the culture of the community, that’s why!
Stephen A. wishes Deon would have lied about this simply to cover up the fact that this happened at an HBCU. If this happened at say, Florida State, Stephen A. would have found a way to make this a 100% racist story and Deon the helpless victim.

No...actually, as expected, it seems that Deion made a great statement-especially under the circumstances. The reason our community is in the shape it’s in is because we try to keep too many absurd dysfunctions “in house.” Didn’t this story drop right around the the time the little boy disrespected Cam Newton...? We have no sense of collective progress...thus we’re getting to the point where we’ll disrespect people while they are IN THE ACT of helping us grow. ...and the ones most likely to clown, typically wouldn’t so much as raise their voice to someone white. js Deion needed to say something because this wasn’t just about his stuff-this goes to the heart of changes we need to make as a people.
Well said Marcus. If you don't own it, how are you ever going to fix it. Just like the two thief's on the cross. One owned his mistakes, recognized he was in the presence of the Savior and he is in paradise. The other, not so much. Something about being truthful causes one to see a lot clearer.

Interestingly enough, I only know about this happenin, because of Stephen A publicizing it to me???
This is absolutely sad on so many levels.
See how they do you when you help? Enemies are everywhere. Selfish cowards.
Nah, I’m with Deion on this. His car and then this?
Why people keep stealing from Deion?
That’s not a good point, don’t say anything cause it’s an HBCU. He was the victim of a crime, he shouldn’t sweep it under the rug
Well said Stephen A
I totally disagree with Stephen A. Smith. Deion is absolutely correct! People have to hold themselves and their community to a higher standard.
While I agree with Stephen A. (for once) it is easy for us to be rational because it wasn't our stuff.
They still haven't fired Molly?
I know right? The nerve of that woman having a better job than a loser like you will ever have.
Shut up Steven a smith it's not your stuff that was taken from ESPN station
Kudos for Steven A.
It is the truth. Prime ain't lie
Stephen A. wishes Deon would have lied about this simply to cover up the fact that this happened at an HBCU.
If this happened at say, Florida State, Stephen A. would have found a way to make this a 100% racist story and Deon the helpless victim.
We're not outnumbered we're not organized. I respect Stephen A.'s position.
Actually SAS, THIS is what shouldn't be said on National TV. THIS statement is the one that should be made in private.
Thanks Stephen A, everything could have and should have been handled differently.
He just said that someone stole from him that’s all it has nothing to do with HBCUs
You're supposed to be selling Character and Integrity, it happens the way Deion handled it. That was Lesson #1 by coach Prime
Deion Is NOT an alum of FSU. He attended but left his junior year. He graduated elsewhere later.
Deon is paranoid after the thief of his boombox, and he should be!
S.A.. You get mad when Max K. Disagree with you..
So how you would act if somebody stolen your wallet or personal items.. You wouldn't know until it happens..🤷🏿
Slow day in sports news
He handled it right. This is the second time his stuff was stolen. How else could he have done it? Last time he made it publicly, he got his stuff back in 24 hrs.
broke into his car and now this! he cant even go to sleep! they'll steal his dreams
that girl said he trying to help y'all out. well dam!
No...actually, as expected, it seems that Deion made a great statement-especially under the circumstances. The reason our community is in the shape it’s in is because we try to keep too many absurd dysfunctions “in house.”
Didn’t this story drop right around the the time the little boy disrespected Cam Newton...?
We have no sense of collective progress...thus we’re getting to the point where we’ll disrespect people while they are IN THE ACT of helping us grow.
...and the ones most likely to clown, typically wouldn’t so much as raise their voice to someone white. js
Deion needed to say something because this wasn’t just about his stuff-this goes to the heart of changes we need to make as a people.
Well said Marcus. If you don't own it, how are you ever going to fix it. Just like the two thief's on the cross. One owned his mistakes, recognized he was in the presence of the Savior and he is in paradise. The other, not so much. Something about being truthful causes one to see a lot clearer.
Imagine for 1 minute Deion sanders being a coach in the nfl. I know one thing I would wanna play there. He has swag and has fun but can he coach and win.
I agree with Stephen Smith. Deion should handle it privately not announcing it to the general public. We don't need to put everything that happens at JSU on the news, social media and the general public. Such a statement presents a bad reflection on the University.
Why shouldn’t it be ?? The school interviews and accepts its students, so therefore it is the students fault who stole but also on the school for not implementing rules and morals. Considering how high on these schools you are SA, he handled it perfectly! No one gets off the hook!
Maybe Prime time needs to stop taking so much valuable stuff with him .. Leave that valuable stuff at home
Maybe thieves need to not take whats not theirs.
What people fail to realize this is the 2nd time they have stolen something from him on that property this needed to be said
It's best that he let everyone know. Just think about what been going on without people knowing and thinking they are some of the best schools out there. Now, they can make changes
so stephen a wants to cover it up....great idea
Stephen A has a valid point. People will use any ammo against hbcu’s
How!!!
How do you witness that and NOT do something?? Unless they had guns, knives, etc and you felt threatened 🤷🏾♂️
stephen a wants deion to say nothing wants certain players to shut up. if ur black and u act up u get put in your spot then and there he said he was coming to change the culture, stephen a wants him to brush it under the rug like hbcus done for years. i bet u the security will be stepped up.
Talking from the guy who steals Max's Tapioca - Pudding from the ESPN break - room
