Dropping the n at the end of words is a more western Dutch accent (from his accent I think he stayed in/near Amsterdam).
I can affirm. I live in Den Haag (The Hague)
I think his Dutch is pretty good, when he speaks Dutch i cannot hear much of an accent at all, no, i don't think many people would laugh, they would help, or switch to english..
The most likely case is that if there's any hint of someone being an english speaker, you won't get a chance to speak dutch anymore since most will instantly switch to english.
Every single of my english speaking friends experienced that problem.
The simple reason is that most people over here speak english.
It might be what we call steenkolen engels(coal english) which is half dutch half english but enough to get the point across.
I like that video! And we dont laugh about someone who dont speak Dutch. Maybe only just a little when the Dutch sentence or word sounds "funny". But mostly we help to pronounce it much better then
I will never ever laugh if people are struggling with Dutch or rather speak English because Dutch is to hard. Me as a Dutchy gets a lot of laughing because I speak 'Dunglish'. I am really trying and people understand me most of the time, but my sentences are not great. All the words are present but they are shuffled sometimes. 🤣
Ik lach nooit mensen uit die gebrekkig Nederlands spreken, meestal probeer ik de mensen te helpen. Uitlachen is respectloos.
Of course this is not correct, but nice try. The Saxon parts of the Netherlands do not drop the n at the end of a word, but the e before the n. Some want to be elite Dutch, don't pronounce the r at all, but make it a horrible soundless American r (ahw) and pronounce the g as a laryngitis grr.
Paul don’t trust the subs haha.
Their all over the place
I don't see reaction video... 🧐
