- This fan-made animation explores the Cuphead universe 20 years in the future! Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice are now all grown up. After their defeat of the Devil, Cuphead and Mugman own a detective agency funded by King Dice. What they don’t know is that King Dice is a fraud who works for the Devil, and the only reason why he funded their career was so that he could get up to date with the brothers’ latest finds, making King Dice and the Devil always one step ahead of the cups.
Since the devil’s ‘defeat’, the devil was forced to go into hiding from the public. However, this has not hindered his ability to cause fear and terror throughout inkwell.
King dice is still a big celebrity all these years later, having starred in movies, television shows and radio shows in his career. He uses his fans’ adoration as a tool to get things his (and the devil’s) way.
This method is what allows the devil to still cause havoc and take people’s souls. King dice funded cuphead and Mugman’s agency under the agreement that they would inform him of the newest leads on the location of the devil. With this information, the devil can flee his hideouts before they are raided, making him always one step ahead of law enforcement. Cuphead and Mugman (and everyone else for that matter) have no idea that king dice is using them and that they are getting no closer to the devil’s capture.
It is now 1950, and King Dice is older. Being a mortal, he won't live forever, which is a problem because the Devil doesn't want his best friend to die. However, King Dice is content about his life, and recalls the ups and downs of his career. Although Dice still has a lot of time left to live, this animation is about the Devil's fear of losing Dice in the years to come, and also Dice's pride in his achievements.
A lot of the scenes are flash forwards to what could happen after dice’s death, such as cuphead figuring out that king dice set them up all those years ago. Cuphead’s realisation is also kind of like a subplot within this…maybe I’m making this all too confusing though….

ok first off i really like the animation! second off the story behind this is so cool. third off, i love how chalice and mugman look grown up. fourth, this makes me strangely a bit nolstalgic despite the show ending less than a year ago haha. im so sad i had to sort by new to come across this video, i hope this gets a lot of views!

Wow that is really impressive and I like it. I've watched some episodes of The Cuphead Show on Netflix (UK and Eire) before. It's a good cartoon.
I have that game for Microsoft Xbox One but I still haven't beaten it yet. I'd say it's definitely one of the hardest video games ever played. I still like the game though. It looks very good as well.
