A lot of people here doesn't seem to understand that Enya's songs are heavily produced. It's impossible to reproduce that live, even for Enya. Enya is a team, it's not just the singer, it's also her very talented producer that together makes that amazing, heavenly sound.
I know a live concert from Enya wouldn't sound like it does on CD. I'd take any interpretation of it from her though. If that means having a stripped down version and an orchestra and or chair fine. For me it would still be magical and a dream come true.

I'm impressed with this arrangement of Enya's music! All her songs were arranged for the concert, the notes were written, everything was performed LIVE. Of course, Enya is the unique talented angel who creates music in many layers and composes everything in the single piece and that's just impossible to re-create the same sound in the real concert. It takes years to compose one album and to re-create it in 30 minutes LIVE would be nonsense. E.g. in the song Angels Enya told there were more than 500 voice layers!!! This concert is the first known concert where Enya's songs have been actually successfully performed LIVE. I just adore it!!!
Okay.. everyone is hating on this a lot. I am probably the biggest Enya fan in this world.... I mean I have every single one of her albums, including all the B sides and singles and rare releases. I can sing every one of her songs, in every language she sings in. I listen to Enya all the time.... and to me this performance is really not that bad..... I give it a B plus grade.

The melodies where on key, but dry and had no magic. And the woman singing "I Want Tomorrow" was just adding extra words and even pronouncing some words wrong. It was harsh on the ears. Not to mention that Enya wasn't even at this performance! 👎🏾

Musicians are great and girl chorus was actually very gooood, they could be doing a great and trascendental show like the ones others do with beatles and queen, but the solo singers need to be much much better selected. We know we'll never have enya live (in a tour) but it would be awesome to have a good enya tribute show. This one wasn't the good tribute because of the solo singers.
I beg to differ. This is as good as any live performance can be. I have been a fan of Enya from 1989 to this very day and for all those expecting Enya's songs to sound exactly as in record you should know that one of the things that make Enya's album so great is the excellent quality of sound engineering and production they need to be recorded, where layering voices is the common in every song. That is why Enya never plays her main hits live; even in tv shows, she does playback, except in songs which are played exclusively on piano. It is like if you expected the choral part of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" to be reproduced live exactly as it sounds in the album. Unless you have a massive chorus with a very special talent to sing in a round, it is almost impossible. Hats off to everybody in this concert.
+Migeru70 I'm sorry but this is a terrible performance. Hell, even the boys of Libera (aka St Phillips Boys Choir) performed Orinoco Flow at a far superior level than these ladies and most of them were between the ages of 9-13. This is just.....flat on every note.

That last singer really murdered "I Want Tomorrow" one of my favorites of Enya. The orchestra was great though which was one redeeming quality about the performance.

Enya doesn't do concert and rarely do live performances. Yes it's a shame that Enya herself not the one who's on that stage singing, but this is the next best thing.
A lot of people seem very eager to criticise EVERYTHING here, and I’m going to be contrary and say that as a huge Enya fan I loved this. The song choices were interesting, the arrangements are excellent and the backing singers are fantastic, there are four of them and they sound like ten, at least. As for the soloists, what many people don’t seem to realise is that in the studio you can stand super close to the microphone, sing in a very soft voice and then increase the volume in the mix, and that’s what Enya does. That doesn’t work live, you would be completely drowned out. These soloists needed a different sound and technique in order for this to work live, and I think they did a great job.
Everyone on here is complaining how bad this is but I think the singer and back up singers did the best they could. When I listen to it, (especially at 5:56 and other places) it just reminds me how gifted Enya is and how hard her songs are to sing live. Especially when the singer doesn't have the earpiece to keep her in tune and pitch. What I thought was kinda funny is how long the audience took to clap after songs were over. Did the audience know any of the songs? I hope it's not because they were stunned by the performance. On the same vain when it comes to tribute concerts, there will never be another Karen Carpenter. No one can sound like her, so when you go see a concert just remember to keep in your brain that it's a Tribute concert to the artist and it will in no way sound just like the real artist. She has 4 monitor speakers in front of her so she can hear herself extremely clear, That's what most artists used years and years before the ear pieces came out.

The concert is exactly why Enya's decision to never tour is admirable. It's not the best way to listen to her music and dilutes her brand.
