I travelled from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and back this year in a train and I must say Indian railways are just increasing their fares and decreasing their service quality day-by-day.
traveled from Pune to Kolkata for an internship using the Azad Hind Express, and the experience was disappointing. The train wasn't clean, and it was delayed by 8 hours. Thankfully, it left on time for the return journey. When coming back, I had two choices: SRC Hamsafar and Azad Hind. I opted for SRC Hamsafar, but just 4 hours before the train was to depart, I received a message saying it was canceled. This left me stranded in Howrah without any alternative arrangements. I tried contacting customer service, but they explained that the cancellation was a decision made by the railways, and there was nothing they could do. Stuck in Howrah, I had to take the Azad Hind Express, spending an extra 5600 INR and changing seats four times. This experience made me reflect on Indian Railways. The lack of responsibility during such incidents is concerning. One major reason for this is the influence of uneducated and criminal politicians, and corruption among railway officers further adds to the problem. These issues make Indian Railways less reliable compared to other railway systems around the world.
My worst experience was from Bangalore KSR to Hampi , I was travelling from 2Tier AC and it was night time , suddenly the AC system got shut , and it was shut for 3-4 hours , people started suffocating and screaming, bhai log pareshaan hore and no one to help also , finally someone came and fixed the generator box and start hua AC , ghatiya service hai Indian rails ki bhai , AC lelo toh bhi faayda nahi hai , Tabse mai Aaj tak I always prefer flights , best hai ❤❤
Bhai aap un logo ki baat kar rahe ho jo 2nd ac me travel krte h unke liye train or plane ka kharcha almost same hota h. Hum jaise logo ka kya jo maximum sleeper tier tak hi chalte h. Vo kaise manage krenege. Vaise bhi govt dheere dheere aisa arrangement kar rahi h ki sirf vo trains jitnki tickets mahangi h, vande bharat jaisi, vo time pe chlengi baki normal trains aise hi 10-12 ghnte late chlengi taki log irritate hokar in mahangi trains me travel krne pe majboor ho jaaye.
Ha bhai actually I'm talking about the people who can afford the price of a 2nd tier class ticket. People who can't afford AC class they don't have any option sadly. They are forced to experience the torture of Indian railways sometimes. But at your point you said the govt is intentionally doing this is wrong. I traveled in Shatabdi a few days back it was almost 45 minutes late. This transition from sleeper to vandebharat is not an easy task. It will take time but will never end as Mostly indians are below the poverty line and they will never be able to afford to travel in trains like vandebharat etc. Sad to say this but true. There will be always people around 50% or more than that they will never able to travel in even AC class trains again a harsh truth. Positive side, logo ke hath me ab paise aa raha hai aur wo travel kar rhe hai. Lekin budget me karne ka dekhte hai. Agar paise ho bhi to bhi wo ek bar ko 3rd AC consider kar lenge but Vandebharat will still be too expensive for them.
We have too many trains and most of the places we have only have two tracks And now the government is introducing more trains on the same tracks creating more delays for other trains The infra cost for building and maintaining high speed rail in such a big country is expensive better government focus for flight infra for cheaper and faster mode for long distance travel and keep railway for short distance commute
I travelled on this train on march 24 2023 , this is the worst train between Pune - SRC.. got rescheduled by 17 hours + 6hours on route delay 😒. Every worst experience very bad ... IR should Stop this train or Make It better.. if you want to travel Between Hwh - csmt Up/ dn then just go for 12321/22 imperial mail (mumbai mail)... This train barely get delayed. Avg delay 30minutes ... I travelled a alot in 12321/22 and i can say this that 21/22 is the best train
Bhai how to complain in IRCTC atleast for this train. Bhaiya ..when it reach odisha ...woh 15 ganta late ho chuka hota hai. Na pantry hai na kuch..ek time k baad pani nai milta idar... 2086/- ruppes bharbad ..... Vande barat chalana hai to aise train band kar do atleast...if chalane ka man nai hai to band kar do ... Stoppage kam hai but yeh alag se kahin bhi rok deti hai 1 hrs se jyada.

Sirf Humsafar ka tag laga kar premium charge karte hai...but is train ko rok kar memu aur maal gaadi kobhi pass diya jata hai.... But to use gitanjali or jnaneswari express on this route.
Sahi me itni primium train hone ke baad bhi src pune humsafar exp third class train hai aur railways vale gadhe log itna charge karte hai lekin logoki parva nahi karte hai
