Living for the chaotic vibes in this one, the back and forth on loving and hating the shading, plus the close angle auto focus dancing, and keep almost forgetting to offset the coloring LOL
DUDE I've had theses pens for years and I use them regularly, and I did not know that. Just tried it with some of my most damaged pens and it works so well. You're a life saver lol
Yeah they take a while to dry, if you want to do water color you need to wait AT LEAST a day to have them not smudge, same with tombow fudenosukes which have similar ink. And it also depends on what you're using them for and how much you use. Pages I've saturated with ink smudge the opposite page in sketchbooks and the ink gets spread around by hard color pencils
I actually have a tip for the offset color thing. If you run a copy of your outline lay it on a light box and offset that then color inside those lines and not your top layer. Then you won't forget and the colors will be a perfect offset stamp of the drawing. 😊
The Pitt brush tips are very "calligraphic", bold and floppy. I only have it in black, but I've relegated it to large area fills. Once I discovered Tombows they have been my go-to, even their "soft" tip is much more controlled and allows for lines in brush pen. Lots of people love Sakura Microns. Some report persistent leaking issues that kill them early, it's been a while since I've had one so I don't know how they are these days. I prefer working with a fine point gel like Uni-ball One for details, and rollerballs like Uni Air or Vision Needle for the medium-bolder outlines. The extra friction on fineliners does make them more controlled though, and their inks have fewer issues with washes. I like the Uni-ball stuff because they actually advertise fade and water resistance, although a lot of it does reactivate on the first wash: that can be used to effect with some planning.
I'm always amazed how you can have the patience (or many artists) to do a full sketch of the art with colors, then again doing a cleaner sketch and then doing the lineart. on digital i can understand, but in real the motive is then already "done" once and I could never do it another cleaner time since it already happened...xD
I highly recommend you try it out, even without coloring, sketching the same thing again usually results in an improved verdion, becausr you learned from sketching it the first yime
These are the pens of my childhood. I‘ve ALWAYS loved these for being Indian ink markers, and then after years I decided to switch to alcohol based markers. I still love these ink ones endlessly tho! Can really recommend them too.^^
Here fall flowers are Chrysanthemums and I love how bright and also simple they are, used often to remember death and our loved ones that are not anymore here with us
I love these pens! They really give pops of colour in sketchbooks :3 have had them for years and I didn’t even know they came in a 60 set! All I’ve seen are 12 sets.
Ooh! I remember you saying you got these (from a trip to the factory?) and that you’d do a video on them, and I’ve been waiting for ages, because I’ve got these and have no idea how to use them. Yay!
That's some adorably derpy kitties ;) Oh, definitely make sure to store them horizontally - they really dry up fast ^^' And make sure to use the right paper, I always feel they're a bit paper eating ;) I love the colours, but in my opinion they don't feel great for colouring since the can be a bit streaky - but they're awesome for lining, I barely own any Microns and most of those that I owned have let me down a bit too readily. The Pitt Artisr fineliners never did, they are water-resistant, come in black, sanguine, sepia and charcoal, are easy to get by here in Germany (as you can practically find them I almost any office supply or arts and crafts store ) and not that expensive :3
This was so precious! I really loved the choices you made with the colors and the offsetting was a very good effect. Your cat drawing style is so cute, and the flowers and mushroom was a great combination. These would be so cute as stickers!
FC Pitt artist markers and pens were my first real art supplies, I liked the pens and yeah the markers got a bit crusty on me thankfully those were the like small 6-pk ones, so 3:60 being crusty is winning in my book!
"i am also very sad to report not only does it not look good but it looks absolutely horrible" amazing... Poor Kasey! Sometimes coloring outside the lines can be fun, even if its not in a uniform way.
I frick frackin love these brush pens. I dont have this box set, but the ones I do have have been so good to me 😌👌(I tightly cap and store them upside down religiously).
Your videos genuinely make me so happy lol. Ur such a kewl person ;; thanks for sharing your art with us all this time! "I'm gonna make a cute cat so y'all know-" NIGHTMARE ARMS LMFAOOFOSPFPEJFS i loved these sketches slay
Kasey: how about mushrooms, they aren’t flowers but you know, a plant Me: mushrooms are a fungi not a plant and somehow there’s a difference I don’t even know why there’s a difference but there is lol
Re: some of the pens being dried up -- This is why I stopped buying the Faber-Castell pens & brush pens. I've only had one pack of these that *didn't* die on me, despite being stored horizontally, and in some cases after just one use. I love Faber-Castell, but these, at least in the small packs, are just too unreliable.
was loving the vid but the focus issues on the secondary camera made it impossible to keep watching, it legt made me nauseous :( the pulsating in and out of focus was bad enough i would honestly prefer there just be one stable camera view.

For a juicier nib, you can carefully pull it out with tweezers because there's another nib on the other end. It's like two pen nibs in one.

@@grandkhan9261 how long do they lastt??
Everyone talks about how waterproof micron pens are but they always smudge for me so I end up inking at the end 😅 I’ve been betrayed too many times
Same here
Give em a bit to dry. or you got faulty ones..
Mine always smudge

@@uranusouji9703 wow a day? That explains my sad grey watercolours over those pens I guess. Why though, regular old india ink dries in minutes

"What is this cat's body type?!" I come to watch the art but I stay for your vibe haha. You make me laugh. :)
I love using PITT pens as liners since they're waterproof! This is tempting me all over again to get a set of colors like this. Love the kitties!
Thank you for introducing me to the offset style. I love it! Would love to see you explore it more.

Kasey: are tulips fall flowers?
Me, a Dutch person: 😱🤨😲😣🤭
In case anyone wonders, too: no, they definitely are not! They're spring flowers!
Even when your art seems to be going wrong, you gotta trust the process sometimes and you can end up drawing your way to a solution.

Those kitties look so cartoony and cute!
Thank you! This is the push I needed to get started doing, well anything, in my long, weird artblock! It untightend me.

Maybe these kitties represent afternoon, evening and morning? That way, the dark shading makes perfect sense!
Thanks for the video! You’re amazing and so is your artwork! Fabulous characters. You’re so whitty too. 😊
FABER CASTEL MARKERS MY BELOVED! i’ve been using these for over a year and they’re great. loooove the colors. and the layering ability.
It would be so cool to see you draw digitally in a Riso print style and colors
I absolutely love the line art for this one! I think I might get the grub tier on patron just for the coloring sheet lol
I plan on buying this for the holidays.

The title: This pen is perfect for sketching!!!! :))))
The video: These pens have a personal vendetta against me
Mushrooms aren’t plants 😩 but thats okay because the guy holding it is cuteeee
lol that's what i was gonna say😗
These are some of my favorite supplies.
For the pens smudging, try heating the lineart with either an iron, a heatgun or a hairdryer. Apparently that helps with smudging.

Hehe..."frickin frackin"
I love the off style. It reminds me of the best 90s cartoons x
Offset usually has spots that match up with the original placement. So it's all good !
This set is very expensive in my country, I always dream about it....kkkk I love your sketch in pen...
Faber-Castell is pricy, but you definitely get what you pay for!

I LOVE these pens! 😁 It's a good job you can buy them open stock cos that set is WAY out of my league! 🤑
The drawing is really cute. 😊
I prefer the overhead angle for seeing you draw!
Tulip is extremely spring. The doodles are cute regardless tho.
love a brush pen. I have some fat boy versions of these markers and they are so fun to doodle with.
I really like the chubby kitty.
We have those in my art class here in Georgia there awesome 😎
Ur art is so cute🥰
Kasey losing her mind for 10 minutes
This is why I use the Uni Pin liner pens or Faber Castell Pitt pens. You don't have to wait four hours and then still risk them bleeding.
I was gonna get these but oh my god the price 😭

The cat with the orange cryon looks very cute ☺️

Is there a way to recharge pens that have dried out from time? Alcohol possibly?
The episode where she offsets but forgets to offset.
I laughed a little harder each time she forgot. So relatable. 😄
