for those that want to know, the reason they didnt bomb the fuel depots was that the admiralty was worried that it would blanket the harbour in thick smoke, making it harder for other bombers to hit their targets. This infuriated Yamamoto, as he had pushed for bombing of this and the torpedo depots in order to do just that, cripple the fleet for even longer
I didn’t know that
my grandfather was there during and after peril harbor he went around cutting open ships and retrieving the bodies for thee memorial.
Kyle Curtis thank your grandpa for me
Kyle Curtis same, then my grandpa went to Saipan to fight in midway. Luckily the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, or he would of probably passed in the supposed battle of tokyo
Pieman Gaming We thank him for his service
Kyle Curtis mine too
Kyle Curtis after the attack he avenged pearl harbor and dropped both atomattic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
When you realize that that aircraft carrier(The big one) is micro scale.
what do you mean "when you realise it's micro-scale"? they're not going to build a 1:1 model 239 meter long, 32 meter high, model of it
Ohh :0
The smoke effects are really amazing...great build

Beyond the Brick i might show you my zombie base when its finished
Beyond the Brick ii
I'm TheGaming Machine discusses do
I am impressed with the Arizona memorial with sunk ship beneath the translucent bricks.
The sea is very thin but looks deep from the top.
wow I like the water getting pushed around from/by the ships
Love the micro scale build! Great way to tell the story of Pearl Harbor.
The Good Brick I agree
Rip the people who died there
R.I.P
Paula Preston why would they die at a Lego convention?
Norman Kaminski I hope your joking
Rip
The plastic*
“ so the kids can learn some history” I have no such weaknesses
I think there were only two cruisers, tone class, which had all of it's guns in the front. this was because the tone class was designed to carry scout aircraft on the back of the ship.
My uncle died in Pearl harbor he was a good pilot rip uncle uchamu Yong
Skio killzzz wtf...
Japanese side?
Skio killzzz I feel bad for your uncle
LMAOO
Rip your uncle, we should respect all sides in war
As a WWII fanatic, I loved how this was put out.
This Is AWESOME!
Amazing!
I remember this at World War Brick when I went!! This was probably the biggest creation there! The creator did a really great job.
Isoroku Yamamoto-“I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”
Awesome build! What a great way to teach/inform!
MyBestBUDDYIsAGoat [Rose] I
Fantastic moc! Loved it!
Oh wow! This is beyond fantastic!
I’m surprised I didn’t see a comment saying “wAtEr cAnT cAtCh oN fIrE”
I dont understand, water cant catch fire
I can’t tell if you are being serious or not but if you are being serious when water mixes with very flammable items it can catch fire
Cotton the Easter Cottontail Rabbit Actually it is not the water burning, but the other flammable substance (probably fuels) floating on water and being burnt.
That is also the reason why you shouldn’t pour water on burning oil, as the density of oil is lower than water, so the fire will still go on and even in larger extent
i was joking
Wow! Fantastic work!
Damn I can't even build a house out of lego and you over here creating everything we learn in 7th grade damn son
If all you learned in 7th grade was Pearl Harbour, then we have a problem.
Harlowe Iasingston I'm in seventh grade and I didn't learn anything about world war yet. I'm only learning about the constitution and stuff like that.
I'm about to graduate high school and I still haven't learned anything about either World War except what I researched on my own...….instead I learned about islam and buddhism and how great they are -__-
Im 3th grade
and i CAN build things like these
(Only if i have lot of brick.... Im begging for bricks)
Midway was the best pacific battle against japanese and america
woah,i need to make a little ship like that,i love how the turrets are made
Good job!
FANTASTIC
I love how he did the smoke
This so good!!
One Japanese leader quoted: "If we attack Pearl Harbor, we will wake the sleeping giant."
Jim L :3 They should have listened to that leader.
Russian Countryball It was Japanese admiral Yamamoto.
Russian Countryball that is a quote from the movie, TORA TORA TORA, it is a fictional quote
18bricks ofsteel It may have been fictional but it sure as hell did happen.
lol these guys thinking that America is the best! Hahah lol :D
Epic vid
Imagine if the war of Pearl Harbor had begun in LEGO and also a movie I love it
now do it 1:1 scale lol
Erwin Rommel lol, 3 eternities later...
Nolan Patterson 29 eternities later....
8 million dollar later
@scyvir paixn infinite is not a number
Shut up nazi,
not being racist
awesome!!
A great concept and overall wonderfully done. Another minor point though is on the Arizona wreck. The memorial was built just aft of mid-ship. The portion modeled is of the stern. The turret ring visible is the number three turret, with the aft most number four turret submerged.
The bomb that detonated the magazine struck between the foreword two turrets. If you look at photos of the wreck and memorial taken on a day where the water is clear, you can see the bow, then the wreck dips noticeably before mid ships is visible, where the superstructure was once mounted. That dip is the collapsed area above the detonated magazine.
Following the attack, the superstructure and many of the guns were salvaged from the wreck, including the numbers two, three and four turrets. The forward most number one turret however was too damaged and remains on the wreck.
I'd love to see an attempt at modeling the full wreck in bricks!
They should've built a mushroom cloud over Japan
2 Mushroom Cloud..
Fun Fact: Truman wanted to use the A-Bombs, because it would have ended the war faster then, if he invaded the Japanese home Island.
oof
That’s was the end of the war and that video is Pearl Harbor
Yea
I went to Pearl Harbor today and it’s really cool
Awsome!
That’s an amazing build
If someone broke any of those
*One more dead person will be on earth*
We got a badass over here
Great tribute.
I love this video
My great grandpa was on one of those
Bones Skellington shut the hell up douchebag
+Bones Skillington and +The noob how about you shut up! pearl harbor was a very serious time! respect his great grandfather for god sake!
Michael Bobb Lmao, the noob was telling Bones Skellington to shut up you idiot.
Michael Bobb Also why are you replying to a 3 month old comment?
「 LennoxLmao 」 lol
The massive carrier that they built was Soryu, one of the smaller carriers of the fleet and was scuttled at the Battle of Midway after being hit by American Dive Bombers.
Probably, even tho it doesn't really look like it because of how its built
All love your chanel from Australia
That’s a cool moc
Why does this have a little bit of views it deserves more
That carrier was the kaga wasn’t it
No, it's IJN Akagi, and another thing, the guy speaking calls her a "Converted heavy cruiser" Which she was not, She was designed as a Battlecruiser, which are as large as battleships but a little lighter and faster. I hate when people confused the concept of Battlecruisers.
@@themightyhood-4117 and the name, there stands "Akigumo" instead of akagi, well, maybe they didnt read the japanese name correctly
The Mighty Hood - Not everybody needs to know about boats and crap. He was just building something cool.
The picture was Soryu, looks like a mix between Kaga, Soryu and he calls it Akagi
Wow so good
This moc costed more then the attack.
Alright i know your being sarcastic..... but..... just think about it for a second.
An aircraft carrier can cost more then 400 million x6
-coughs- LIES- you were saying?
@Alexander Rodriguez Even with modern inflation, it still really wouldn't have costed more than the attack.
That’s really cool, i built a british spitfire, but it was big enough that a lego character could fit in it
LEGO makes learning fun!
I lived there since. my dad is in the military and my great great grandpa was there at the time and went to the sucken ship Memorial and also went on the USS Missouri
USS Arizona memorial
Brennan Paucke there is more memorials of ship at pear harbor
Anyway that was the coolest mini set ever
Very impressive.
so cool
Just saying, the Aircraft Carrier in microscale was converted from a battleship and not a heavy cruiser apparently
It's so cool
2:57 It's called a superstructure, not a castle. A castle is a medieval structure consisting of stone walls while a superstructure is the crew quarters and command decks of a naval vessel.
I've seen it called both the citadel and castle, as they are both similar even from a medieval standpoint.
Yes. The area is often called the superstructure but I️ think the man was confusing it with the front of the ship, called the forecastle
True.
This is cool
I already know everything about Pearl Harbor!
Keith Higgins Ok, how many aircraft carriers were there? How many planes did The Japanese launch? What Japanese Admirals were there? Who was the most effective pilot? How many American planes took off? How many Japanese aircraft went down? Answer all of these without going to look it up somewhere or asking anyone. You can’t ask anyone either. CHALLENGE.
very nice
Your legos are realy cool
This has a few issues because the Tone class cruisers I don’t remember being with the fleet while the Kaga was a converted Battlecruiser because a Heavy cruiser would be too short
But in all this was amazing as old as this video is
Kaga was intended to be a Tosa Class battleship but was converted during construction along with Akagi which was to be a Amagi class battlecruiser
Kaga also replaced amagi for the fleet carrier rules since amagi was damaged in an earthquake
2:34 dat zero looks more like a p-51 mustang lol
I WANT SOME OF YOUR STUFF BRICKMANIA!
The people on the beach: why are there mushroom colored t shaped things in the sky??
“they had to shoot through the castle, M’kay.”
You did a go job
One of my family member was 3 years old on the island at the time of the attack.
The Big Aircraft Carrier, the little info sheet there says "Japanese Aircraft Carrier Akigumo"
Akigumo was a Destroyer.
They probably meant AKAGI as the Carrier, not Akigumo.
That's probably the Kaga because Akagi had its bridge on the other side of the ship
Japan: Looks at U.S.
Every Other Country: He is about to do something stupid
Japan: Attacks U.S.
Also Japan: *_0H N0 WHY ARE THEY ATTACKING US AFTER PEARL HARBOR! OH GOD HOW DID THIS HAPPEN_*
Hahaha I love ur comments
Lol
cool more more more!
wow what a hero thats pretty cool but scary b/c the boat could pull u with it
The ship with the 4 guns in front is a tone class
Tone wasn't launched till 1942
I love Battleship history
May the men who died on that day that will forever live in infamy rest in peace
At the memorial of the USS Arizona its always a deathly silence. I respect everyone that served there
Wow.... can you imagine?! Someone coming up and saying “That was my ship. I was on that ship.” What a sobering moment that would have been.
I was at BrickFair Alabama once
Awesome job on those Japanese zeroes!!😀😀😎😎😎
0:47 that one looks sooo good, I think I'm going to make one myself.
I really wanted to see the Arizona explosion.
"Oh the Japanese only had Forward facing Turrets."
No, The Tone Class only had forward facing turrets and wasn't launched until mid 1942.
I dont think this guy knows what he's talking about...
HellHound Actual he did as much research as he could
Literally a Simple "List of Japanese Cruisers of WWII" Would have shown him everything from the Abuyama Class, straight down to the Yura Class.
Including, Tone, Mogami, Aoba, Takao, Chikuma, etc.
Then why was the Larger model of the Carrier titled "Japanese Aircraft Carrier Akigumo" When Akigumo was a Destroyer?
The Tone class had rear-facing batteries. It is only after a modification that it was converted into an aircraft cruiser
@@ignacejespers8201 please do your research, Tone had 8 8" guns in 4 twin turrets in the front. She was never an aircraft carrier nor was there any plan to make her one
I think the large Lego carrier was built out of a battleship or battle cruiser, historically.
I do know everything that happened even the exact date and time dec.7,1941 at about 8:00 AM on a Sunday correct?
While the effort is there, I feel none of the ships in micro-micro scale look the part of their basis'. For instance, modernized Japanese battleships had rather tall pagoda masts as the command centers, and most of the ships on Battleship Row had either lattice cage or tripod masts, which could be made using levers and such. I'd actually go up a bit on the scale, maybe Brickmania warship kit-szied, as they're compact yet very detailed.
I am obsessed with wwll
That just cool
My great grandfather was on the USS Bunkerhill and that wasn’t on Pearl Harbor it was somewhere out of there Pacific
Cool
I remember a quote from a Japanese leader saying that the U.S. couldn’t take an island with 1 million men in 10 years. Then they did it with 10,000 in 10 days
再 現 度 が す ご い (語彙力皆無)
Tord tora tora means tiger tiger tiger and in the Japanese code book that means they've been captured off guard.
Why they probably didn’t hit the tankers: they are trying to hit the boats because they can’t even move when they sink. The carriers left so rev reinforcements could not arrive
My great great grandfather was in world war one and two he died in 2005 also my dad was in the army for 25 or 30 something years he was in Afghanistan alot the longest time was 6 months as I can remember he left as a Major Colonel
I respect this a lot but what’s funny is that I’m 15 and I’m the one teaching the adults I’m all about the history I’m sure a lot as well I love this
Plz show us how to make a ship :)
It's alabama you know what time it is
It should be called beyond the brickarms
5:01 I thought it was brittanic but it looked more like idk
I love Battle of Midway
