Just got mine! It’s cheap, toy grade, typical Chinese workmanship. The speaker and the BB canister was loose and rattling inside. Also something I’ve never seen before, there was human or dog hair inside the tank they sent me! Crazy! Scale looks pretty off as well.
Thanks man, I'd guess by the time you paid for the metal upgrade and postage might be about £250. Plus these guys using or licencing Heng Long electronics.
The scale is off slightly, the co axial machine gun is on the wrong side. The place where they have the machine gun, is where the gunner sits, and his sights are right there.
had mine a month or 2 now, and have thrown about 50 bucks worth of ball bearings in there, i hate the fact that half of the holes on the turret are not used in my version so they have to be filled and then painted, the sounds are not super bad but a Clark board would help, mine had the bb option but no barrel recoil only track recoil (which is garbage, no tank jumps physically back when firing its main gun) the suspension could use a stiffer spring at both ends and while the suspension is apart.. it takes 7x11 bearings.. 12 per side so 24 in total, it also takes 28 wheelbearings (includes bearings in tension-wheel)
@@dnbpianist there is but i am still working on mine, i swapped the springs (torsion bars) with those of a Mato PZKW4 and now its sitting a bit to high so now i am swapping some back, i also put a 5mm thick lexan plate and longer screws in it so now the plate holds down all the suspension and you have a flat surface to mount your electronics on, the extra weight also helps. the thing needs work, but it does not really matter what brand you buy, if you stay under say 300 USD you get a plastic tank in need of bearings, gearboxes (the tongde has plastic gears) and lots of work, buy an expensive tank and you get metal, and more metal, and bearings.. its worth it to sometimes check several reviews and builds, in the end it can save you money. but aside from all that the tank does not look bad, has some power, but quickly starts groaning because of the plastic gearboxes, at that time you upgrade.
@Dexter Banks I think there are so many people ordering those. If you pay them through PayPal, they will definitely respond if you open a complaint in PayPal lol
As an enthusiast, you must know that you have to do some work such as painting and weather to make it look good. This one, compared to Heng Long or other brands is not bad. Again, needs extra love to make it look good. That’s the real hobby, right?
I was thinking how awesome this would look with that huge single square like spotlight some m60s had back in the 70s 80s ,just above the barrel 🤠🤟
Make one yourself!

Yeah definitely issues need to be fixed by the manufacturer
How much?👍

@@axelusul I think the upgrades will be more than that. But way cheaper than tamiya
Im just here to see if i can mod it into a army men tank. Does the smaller turret rotate? The commanders hatch?
I wish the smaller turret rotates. That’d be awesome. Maybe someone with the skills can upgrade the turret to rotate. Let me know if you find out.

I have 4 heng longs. I have never heard of tongde.
They are very new
Where can I get one. How much is it?
Cheapest is allieexpress. But you can look around on Facebook rc tank groups also. But allieexpress is the easiest.

Yeah definitely some improvements are needed
In the instructions, there should be a way to turn off the track recoil

@@taskforce3833 love to see it when you’re done. I guess all the work is part of this hobby and it can become A LOT of work.
My friend, where did you get & how long to arrive?
Took over a month. Shipping cost was expensive. But here it is. www.dklmrc.com/index.aspx?pageid=2389474&chainID=253541&txtQuickSearch=Tongde

Hey I've got a question does the turret rotates the 360 degrees?
No, but you can buy a 360 degree mod kit from some RC dealers.
Looks like a toy suitable for a ten year old…..but,not an adult rc tank enthusiast .
