One of my favorite bikes ever. I worked for a Triumph dealer over 20 years ago and was told by the guys there that it was the fastest bike ever. I used to work on and ride many Japanese bikes and scoffed at the idea that this was as fast as a Hayabusa...until I rode one !!! Holy crap I was hooked after that ride !!!

320 kgs is no big deal to cruiser riders, all the big ones weigh this much or more. I admire the Rocket series because not only do they go well in straight lines they can corner hard too due to decent ground clearance & good geometry. You don't need a quick-shifter, got one on my bike but never bother with it. My attitude is if you want an uninvolved, easy life get a car! Good film.

I love your style, passion and excitement along with a very detailed and excellent presentation, Kate.
I think one specification that could definitely be increased is the fuel capacity. Here in Australia blasts along open motorways and into the countryside would require attaching a 5 or 10 litre jerry can to the bike unless the route was well populated with service stations. A fuel tank capacity of "25" litres would be very much appreciated Mr Triumph.
    Great videos. Cheers.

This new Trumpet is brilliant but expensive experience to own I think, you certainly have to respect it but it's comfortable and as you mention it's great for the odd hoon but you can't go 'scratching' on the lanes in the same manner as other bikes. Lots of electronics to help out on such a beast makes sense as well. As an older person with old school riding experiences I can forego a quick shifter and blipper but I've not experienced them yet, manual all the way. If I had maybe my view could change. A cracking review Kate as usual and thanks for sharing your experience with us. I would have the black and red one that you rode in the review, it's gorgeous... and I could find it easier in the dark.

I owned the 2022 Rocket 3 R and absolutely loved it I covered 9,000 miles on it during my ownership the only reason I chopped it in for a Ducati V4 Diavel is because the wide tank played hell with my arthritic hip and the Diavel is nice and narrow so no pain and I love riding this as well. But there will always be regret that I no longer own the Triumph Rocket 3 R with the quick shifter. Love your reviews Katie xx

I follow a few bike channels on here, and I've got to say that's got to be one of the cleanest reviews of a bike I've seen. No fan girling, no BS, just facts, both good, and bad.
I love the Rocket 3's, but that seating position would murder my back, and I don't have a spare AU$24k to spend on a bike. I was also a bit surprised at the weight, cause I honestly expected it to be heavier than my bike, but it's about 50kg lighter before I put the saddle bags on. The power and torque would make keeping my licence very challenging to say the least, as it's enough of a challenge already, cause bikes with balls are just too much fun. lol

Had this bike, as it is here, been around 20 years ago and my now ex had not been so concieous about the pennies, than that would of been sat in the garage (but only if it was snowing)...!
But now i'm too old for such a beautiful get-up-and-go maschine, so i'm now sat in front of my screen to watch the beautiful UNK ride it and make me as jealous as hell😠! This is the "cerme de la creme" of all muscle bikes for me, although i've never ridden one. So, as I am in the process of down sizeing unfortunately this bike will be one of 3 dream bikes that I never owned... amen😢.
But on the other hand, had I owned those 3 bike, i'd have no dreams left to fulfill🤟😎.

Addition to my first comment, as owner of one, in Road mode from stop, lean forward and hang on tight, clamp thighs to tank, then womp onto fully open throttle, keep it open to redline through the gears, it is amazing what happens after 4,000 rpm. Next do the same in Sport mode. In both cases the traction control keeps the rear tire in its place and bikes vertical. No one truly knows an R3 until they experience this. I've been too chicken to turn off the traction control, or to tune this beast and unleash it any further. This bike is the personification of beast.

They've done a good job on making it look good, and it obviously scratches an itch that enough people have, given how long it's been in the range. having said that, even if the hilariously out-of-reach price wasn't an issue, I don't think I'd buy one. I know from long experience that a) I don't like heavy bikes, and b) I don't like bikes that make you constantly paranoid about opening the throttle 5 deg too far and losing your licence, both which you alluded to in your review. I've ridden mates' powerful bikes before now and the feeling of constantly shutting off and constantly using 1/4 of the throttle was more frustrating than exhillarating. Some of the most fun I've had is wringing the neck of some tiny little bike to get everything it's got, and I know others who say the same.
Also, the fact that you've got to spec it to death on top of the asking price to carry any luggage is a downside for me: I like to use a bike as real-world transport, not just take it out for a blast on sunny Sundays. One thing I don't understand is why Triumph have never put that motor in a proper touring bike: surely it has the makings of a challenger to the Goldwings and the top spec BMW RT/LTs?

Hi kate, Rocket 🚀 is a good name, Beast would be another! But the bike is for rich people only and miles out of my price range, but then all new bikes are. You have a great job getting to ride these bikes 😊. As always excellent video kate. Take care, Best wishes Roy 👍.

The biggest cost of running one of these is probably the costs of rear tyres! I can quite understand how hard it must be to resist the temptation of your right wrist!! A perfect example of conspicuous consumption, you might not need it but boy does it make you want it 😃

This might be controversial but I think Triumph should bring out a smaller, lighter and more nimble Rocket 3 with the Speed Triple engine.

@@flesz_The Trident is a small 660cc engine. A Trident with a Speed Triple engine is something I may consider to replace my Speed Triple.

Preposterous, get a 2nd hand Rocket 3 , for about 13 k with a few thousand miles on , on a pcp , few hundred a month, do it ! Love the passion in the descriptions of the riding experience, they certainly are a special and unique motorcycle, well done Triumph, don’t use mine enough, but can’t let go of it as it was hard work to be able to buy it .

That's pretty cheap. Where I'm at, they're $21k new, or 17-18$ for a few years old bike with 10k miles.

It's better to see you on a bulky bike than teetering on one with a tall seat, if that isn't too patronising a comment. Teetering is bad, except when walking on ice.
You're right about the narrow lanes. I once had to hurriedly jump onto a concrete milk stand outside a farm with a pal, pulling up my dobermann by his collar, as more than a dozen escaped bullocks thundered down the road from around the next bend. We all survived by the grace of - sheer luck.
