@@Kobi-tx9yq Powerstanced spears are good, but Bloodfiend's arm is far better. Bloodfiend's arm deals far more damage, especially with royal knight's resolve. Royal knight's resolve is probably the best weapon buff for consort. Lets not forget that consort is weak to pierce anyway, which not every boss will be.
Axe of Godfrey needs to be buffed and its roar r2 isn’t affected by the 2h sword talisman… that talisman boosts every other charged roar attack except axe of Godfrey’s.
All they needed to do with it was reskin one of the lightning ashes of war to red lightning and make that skill unique to the great claw. Something like lightning slash would have been perfect
@@AverageDoctor345, imo, the thunderbolt would be more fitting for the dragonclaw greatshield. You know, since the boss itself casts bolts with the shield. The claw should have one of his slam attacks, at least the reskin of any AOW slam with red lightning.
For the dragon claw they could’ve just give the weapon thunderbolt AOW but red and call it ancient dragon thunderbolt. Maybe give it more stance dmg and call the weapon unique.
The Urumi is unironically good though, I'd be surprised if it's not first on the list because nothing else comes close to being as good as its heavy attack.
About the Anvil hammer. The reason the weapon art is useful is because it has a lot of hyper armor. Which is something you wont get much from the charged heavy attack. So against enemies with really spammy attacks like the horned warriors and curseblades you can do a combo where you start with a jumping attack and then eat their counter attack with the weapon art which will probably poise break them in turn.
It kinda feels like fromsoft is just randomly picking which weapon they should make the most overpowered. Weapon if the hardest boss in the game? Nah. Let's make it a random weapon that just drops from a regular enemy.
The bloodfiend arm R2 extra attack doesn't proc bleed. It can only do that if you have blood infusion on. With it charged, you get a multiplier of 1,8 on your bleed buildup. So that is 186 bleed buildup with 45 arcane, and multiply that by 1,8, and that is why you get so much bleed with this weapon
@@hexsaver420 Faith is the best for this weapon. the scaling is bugged, where faith contributes to both the physical and elemental portion of the damage, which lets it reach absurd AR with 80 faith, 19 str, 11 dex and 16 arc. It has an AR of 998, which is absolute insane. So people who want to oneshot enemies, they pick pure faith, and sacred/flame art depending on the boss. Blood infusion makes it a strength/arcane weapon, and its more stat intensive like that.
@@emeraldwolf7920 You are right that the bullet R2 has 90% status buildup, however the main hit of the chraged R2 has 90% status buildup too. We add them together to get 180% status buildup. Interesting thing to not is that the R2 attacks of the Bloodfiend's arm have something like 70% status build when the other colossal weapons have 100% status buildup. Perhaps they wanted to compensate for the bleed and poison buildup that bloodfiend's arm gets.
21:40 is not bugged, its hit stopping. it happens every attack but its more apparant since its attacking fast. there was same issue with death poker AoW, and they changed it. so maybe they'll change this to?
The Gazing Finger's follow up heavy staying in a crouching position for the entire thing is so interesting, there's bound to be some amazingly fun utility in low profiling a boss' attacks while charging your own heavy follow-up. Nobody's talking about it and it drives me crazy! X D
Hurts to see the shadow sunflower blossom so low but it being a holy weapon and compared to that damn bloodfiend arm means it never really had a chance.
Currently, he has, Bloodfiend's Arm is bugged, the faith scaling is also incress the physical damage, it also happens with the flame art infusion. If they fix the bug, certainly a sunflower skill + heavy attack would be a better option, making it an A tier weapon.
The reason there such a big difference in damage, stance damage etc. in the colossal weapon category, is because it is used as an umbrella term for several different categories all at once. There are colossal, axes, hamers, halberds etc. Only colossal swords get their dedicated category, and still we have a colossal thrusting sword with the meteoritic ore.

Bloodfiend Arm is really good with a poison infusion, often can trigger poison in just 1 or 2 hits, and the poison effect even works for the blood splash from the heavy attack.
Watchdog staff skill is so useful to chip away enemies/bosses, its good for caves/dungeons as well. it gives you amazing range option for pure melee STR character. it helped me so much stopping enemies that inflict status effect from coming close to me, and also beating enemies across ledges or cliffs on the other side that would normally be very hard in close combat
Rotten battle axe with a roar skill boosts the amount of status you deal. often you can apply rot in 1-2 hits which buffs your damage super fast from the usual poison stuff.
Ghiza's Wheel isn't *really* bugged, all "large" enemies slow down your attacks by a good ~15-30%. It's *very* apparent with any movesets/skills that hit a lot of times in quick succession.

About the Axe of Godfrey not doing enough stance damage: the skill sends omens flying, the skilled strong attack sends the two strongest Haligtree knights flying and staggers omens, everytime. I guess that's why it doesn't need high stance damage. It already has massive "stance" damage in a way. You don't get a crit hit, like after a regular stance break, but it seems you don't even include the shockwave effect of knocking over strong enemies in the consideration.
If you're into high risk medium reward you can do the war cry savage moveset on the rotten great axe and motion values will increase the stat build up as well when you do charged heavies, which normal R2s wouldn't do.
It's really weird that this far into the game's lifespan we still have somber weapons with generic ash of wars that can't be swapped out. FS clearly cares about the game and regularly does some nice patch updates, but there are so many base game weapons in need of help still. Lore implications sometimes make sense as the answer, but IDK, in many cases it seems more like oversight or not enough dev allocation. Here's hoping some of the items on this list get a second chance at some point.
Yeah, it's really a shame, they look like weapons that were just left unfinished. The Greatclaw or the black Gargoyle weapons are prime examples, it's a crime they don't have any unique skills of the bosses.

Dragon Greatclaw deserved so much better. First, it should’ve had a weapon buff that gave it lightning damage, with an added follow-up that created a massive explosion and removed the buff. Would’ve mirrored that Sentinel perfectly. Second, give it pierce damage and increase its strength and faith scaling massively. An A in strength and B in Faith should be the minimum. The AOW could scale mainly on Faith, but also a little with strength too. Finally make sure its skill has hyper armor. So many slow skills (like Lightning Slash) lack hyper armor, making them such complete ass.
Actually it has a niche for Dex build that meets the strenght requirement. You can use it one hand with a great shield. This let you use the great shield skill and then go for repost with the DC that deals a good amount of damage and stance damage.
Heavy infusion Rotten greataxe with the poison buffs + Rot grease (yes you can buff with more Rot) cheesed Mohg in new game plus for me, He didnt even go for second phase, absolute God tier weapon.
Definitely not God tier takes forever to proc rot on bosses and there's way better weapons that do way more damage plus it's not even the best rot weapon

Talismans: Shard of Alex, Axe Talisman, Kindred Exultation, Dagger Talisman. Im telling you can cheese all the bosses, its not even funny.
Or alternatively, you could use war cry to get an increased status multiplier, and then proc rot in 2 or 3 charged heavy attacks, along with probably getting a stance break

It's skill does scale with both int and faith. It scales almost evenly with both (faith gives you a bit more) so idk where you're getting your info.
Convergence Dragon Greatclaw has a gigantic red lightning wave attack that while too flashy to look like the base game just makes you wonder how the fuck From managed to screw this up.
It sucks the rotten duelist axe isnt a better weapon. On a cold infusion with barbaric roar its one of my favorite ng+ builds because of the decent enough scaling and ability to stack % based damage. My second favorite weapon behind obsidian lamina
Gizas wheel is bugged. Why doesn’t the pizza cutter ash not work with the multi hit talismans. Ultra weapons also need like 200 AR more. Speed shouldn’t increase because otherwise it’s just a big greatsword
Also word mentioning bloodfiends arms is bugged with holy infusion and literally gets like 25% more damage than it should, watch GinoMachino no hit build to see how it can literally one shot half the bosses in the game
Watching these videos makes me feel that somehow the developers dont understand their own games. Its like they are too busy developing the game to have time for the actual technicals on how these weapons perform and its left up to youtubers to do the analysis on why certain weapons are useless or completely outclassed but even then that doesnt get back to the developers for future patches.
Just crouch attack for fast attacks. Colossal weapons are the ez mode for elden ring, just poise break bosses and repost plus can trade with almost everything due hyperarmor. colossal and ofc starfist with endure and L2

The gazing finger aow does actually gain damage from intelligence, its slightly lower then putting it in faith but it does increase it
The difference is so little it hardly matters, like when Rusty tested it the difference was like 3 damage

11:55 Apparently unless you apply a buff the Serpent Hunter charged R2 does bit more damage than the Golem Halberd.

It's the best build for the weapon. The 998 AR with 80 faith makes it insane

Its like they are too busy developing the game to have time for the actual technicals on how these weapons perform and its left up to youtubers to do the analysis on why certain weapons are useless or completely outclassed but even then that doesnt get back to the developers for future patches.

Just crouch attack for fast attacks. Colossal weapons are the ez mode for elden ring, just poise break bosses and repost plus can trade with almost everything due hyperarmor. colossal and ofc starfist with endure and L2
