Try to move the amount of dust and glitter you’re using to a separate container when you’re using it because putting the brush back in the original container can/will add sugar to it which will promote the growth of bacteria.

I would give an E for Effort. I don't think the gold was covered entirely well. I would use Americolor Airbrush gold color to get that solid gold color.

Luster dust has no taste and the alcohol evaporates. So they taste great!

YES! Just brush it with alcohol same way!

GtfOuttaH3r3 honestly I tried lemon extract but it didn’t give the same effect I was looking for. You won’t be able to taste the vodka because it’s literally like a binding liquid to the luster if that makes any sense lol

Neither luster dust shown is edible. There are many edible luster dusts available on the market. They are clearly marked with a list of ingredients. If a product has no ingredients list, or the label says, "for decoration", then it is NOT EDIBLE and should never be used directly on food.

How do I get the luster dust to dry 100% on the strawberries and for the strawberries to stop leaking from the bottom when I have it vertical on toothpicks?
Natasha Abdool oh my sorry it took so long for me to respond! I normally keep them laid flat until I transport. I never really have them vertical.
But I normally wait 5-10 minutes.
Oh. I can’t even mix my vodka to luster dust properly. Doesn’t come out like yours
Natasha Abdool you’re suppose to do take like a 1/4 tsp of vodka to 1 tsp- 1 1/2tsp of luster dust to mix it together - so more part dust less part vodka. If that makes sense

Wendy Guardado yes! Because there’s no trace of it, at all. Although some parents are skeptical they tend to use lemon extract.

Wendy Guardado in my opinion it’s a tad bit duller. But just a tad. It’s not significant - I’ll do a video soon to show the difference

KIKI mccall I normally wait about 5-10 minutes for them to dry. But I start from the beginning after I’m done.

Chitown ShaSha it doesn’t have to be cheap nor does it have to be expensive tbh. Just keep in mind that the alcohol won’t be tasted at all during the process. So it’s cost efficient to use cheap. In my opinion.

How long does it take for them to dry
For me it took less than 2 minutes.
Okay.... i just notice sometimes when i try to do some of the dust would come off on my hand after 30 minutes

Brenda Jarmusz right because from my understanding there's no luster dust in the U.S that is edible. everyone assumes non toxic means you can eat it. It only means that the dust can come in contact with food but it's not to be eaten.

You can use extract like lemon almond, etc. vodka is choice though because alcohol evaporated quicker and won’t have a taste on the finished product. If you’re doing strawberries, I would stick to the vodka
