Nintendo is saving most of their big games for switch 2. Only big game that might show up is metroid prime 4.

Donkey Kong 99 of the original arcade would be really fantastic in my opinion. I know big time DK fans want something more though. Mario 35 was one of my fave Switch games, so it hurts my head that it's not available anymore.
For the DS and Wii games I hope they're NSMBDS and NSMBWii. SM64 DS and SMG2 would also be nice though.
F zero 99 would be addictive as F**K.

Watching this unfold on Twitter in real time was so funny, but also so painful. A part of me is mad because his hinting got people's hopes up HARD... only to brutally crush em. But it makes more sense when you realize he did this to air out folks piggybacking off his leaks.
Still though, it does suck to see DK & F-Zero fans get done so dirty possibly. As cool as all the Mario announcements lately have been... it would be nice to see other series get treated better again.

You always want to hold out hope but I’m guessing this direct is going to be severely underwhelming. Probably just more Mario and half assed ports or games no one wants. But who know maybe since I’m expecting to be disappointed this time it will actually be great. But these leaks are extremely disappointing which means they are most definitely true.

I think they’re just saving the mainline DK for the next gen console as well.
IMO F-Zero 99 just doesn’t make sense without a new, core F-Zero game to go along side it. Why would Nintendo out of the blue make a 99 spin-off of a series they haven’t iterated upon since 2004? Just doesn’t add up.
Imagine a Mario vs Donkey Kong game in 3D, in the Mario Movie art style and physics for Mario like Odyssey. That would be hype. However if it’s just going to be in the same Mario vs Donkey Kong graphics and gameplay as we’ve seen on the Wii U and DS, then I will be very disappointed.
For the DS and Wii game part, wouldn't it be awesome if it was somehow Spectrobes?
While I know that Disney is failing right now so they're probably not going to risk much but it would be funny if they brought that franchise back because of the popularity of JRPGs on Switch.

I really don’t think so. 99 games are supposed to be fast paced. In Mario vs. Donkey Kong, there is usually a “perfect” way to beat a level, so it wouldn’t really work for a battle royale game unless they REALLY changed the formula. And all of the 99 games have been focused on retro titles from over 25 years ago. Mario vs. Donkey Kong is not one of those. I’m so sorry, F-Zero fans. 😢

I just hope at some point Nintendo will bring back Mario Galaxy 2. This game is a masterpiece, truly a shame we got Galaxy 1 but not it's sequel on Switch..

if the direct does turn out to be kinda tame with only like one big game I would be okay with that. it just solidifies the idea that we might be seeing some big stuff by february (switch 2)

This is one of the main reasons why I don't like rumors like these. People's expectations go to the extreme and then they get mad or angry when it's not what they wanted.

Coukd the remaster be nsmb ds and wii? Maybe as a package, I don’t see why they wouldn’t include the 3ds game with that though, then you’d every single new mario bros game
That DS/Wii game really has me stumped. Depends what "related" means. Same franchise? Same game on both platforms? The only thing I can think of that existed on both and that maybe has some reason to be re-released is Final Fantasy Cristal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. It would make use of online play in the current gen and just be a fun multiplayer game. Square and Nintendo seem to be doing more things together recently, and FF7R is rumoured for Switch 2.
Speaking of Echoes...the only other big stretch I can think of is maybe it has something to do with Prime 2 (technically a Wii game) and Prime Hunters (a DS game). Maybe Prime 2 Remastered will add in the multiplayer of Hunters to its own? Or maybe they would do something weird like just make Hunters, Echoes and Corruption a simple upscaled bundle like the Trilogy. That would be lame, though.
You know it's sad seeing that we're not getting a new Donkey Kong Game which really upsets me but I haven't played Mario VS Donkey Kong cause like if it's the one on the GBA then I would play it because I've seen RUclips Videos about it back in the days so maybe it could be that I don't know?
Okay finally we're getting new information about the new Princess Peach Game because we need to know the title, the levels, the enemies, the companion Peach is with, bosses, and who is the main villain if it's Wario or freakin Bowser again.
Okay I'm hoping that Nintendo could announce Tomodachi Life on the Switch like a remake of it just like Miitopia and adding the new Mii Maker Editor from Miitopia because I like how you can ask the person for the code and then use it so that you can get the Miis that they created so I hope we get to see Tomodachi Life coming to the Switch and not being in the new console!
So what I think the DS and Wii games should be maybe it could be Kirby's Squeak Squad or Mario Kart DS or Super Mario 64 or Mario Party DS I don't know and for the Wii I'm thinking either Donkey Kong Country Returns or Punch Out cause both of them are really good games but the one game that I would pick has to be Punch Out.
I'm kinda surprised you haven't brought up a SINGLE thing about the "Smash Bros. Comeback" Rumors, because a credible Nintendo RUclipsr with reliable sources named "PapaGenos" is claiming that something big will happen for the Smash Series.
Maybe like a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe.
Im surprised he started leaking the direct on friday when he usually starts on Monday so he might have more to leak then the previous time so he may or may not mention ssbu but he also never leaks everything major in the direct so who knows

They could also remake Rune Factory. RF 1 was on the DS and Frontier is a wii game. Both share the characters. If it does turn out to be Rune factory, I am eating my shoe. Although RF 3 special just came out so it might not be Rune Factory. Which is sad, because I really want a RF 1 Remake. And Frontier too. Frontier looks fun.

Makes sense if the next direct is pretty small, we’re at the end of the switch’s life span and most future games will be on switch 2 instead
Why do people keep saying we are at the end of the switch life span when it is still selling well, Nintendo president saying he wants this to be at least a 10 year life cycle and that no new hardware will be announced for a while as the switch is their main focus
@@DANCERcow because the switch 2 is releasing next year. It’s been confirmed by Chinese manufacturers that they’re producing new Nintendo hardware and the switch 2 was demo’d at gamescom. While switch sales are still good, they’ve noticeably dropped since last year. Making a successor system prolongs the life of the switch brand
This makes much more sense, they're winding down switch games at this point. They're putting all their hard hitters on the switch 2 which is all but confirmed to be coming next year. I'd predict a couple "big" games before the switch 2 is released but nothing groundbreaking.

Thats why i said in the your previous video that it was very surprising that the next dk game would be unveiled this early.
If they have Wonder, Mario RPG, Wario Ware, Luigis Mansion & Princess Peach they are pretty much covered until March 2024. Why eclipse those games with a new DK game or Prime 4 so early? Specially in Prime 4 case since it couod be positioned as a main Switch 2 game.
Hm, sorry but I hard diaagree. Maybe Im going off the wave of emotion and disappointment but I don't see how even a new 3D DK would 'clash' with anything at all. If true, it is still merely a reveal _and_ the June Direct games are nearly all Remakes. So, it's not even 'over-asking'. They never said 'Mario RPG 2' and plus Wonder is no where near the level of release as Mario Odyssey whatever anyone might argue: Mario Odyssey is simply the Higher fidelity game. So there is easily 'room' to fit a Big DK game in. As of now though of course, nothing has been confirmed yet.

@@netweed09 Why remove the spotlight from 4 upcoming important releases for 0 gain? Specially when 1 of them, princess peach, has 0 concrete details. Nintendo schedule for switch is staked until march next year at least.
This is the tricky part of the transition period. It makes more sense for Nintendo to stack the important 2024 releases for the moment they will be ready to unveil the next system. Presenting Prime 4 & DK as Switch 2 gsmes that would be aldo available on Switch 1 is more beneficial to them than what you propose here.

Nintendo has the luxury to unveil Switch 2 after june if they want to. No need for a march unveil are some are expecting.
