How to unlock in 13 minutes the sound you have in your head and that does not reach your fingers. Thank you very much Steve!!! Really tastefully sound 🙌🙌🙌
Man, I've watched infinite amount of guitar teachers on YT and you are hands down in my top 5. Your insights are pure GOLD. Yesterday, I subscribed in less than 10 seconds to your channel, because I knew you were good from the get go. You have one of the best insights and are very likeable as a person too. Your channel is gold my friend.
I've been trying to get my head around this for a while now, and you have just explained it in a way that makes sense! Thank you. Subscribed and liked 👍🏻
Your lesson with practicle examples has really opened my ear and thinking and has finally started to make sense for me thank you much appreciated, subbed 👍
Great lesson Steve. I’m going to work on this. First thing I need is a Dumble amp and a tele to even sound that good. Oh and some talent. One thing at a time. 😊
Hi Steve, as always a great presentation of the topic...great sound and melodies by the way...I maybe have another approach to the altered sound...over an A7alt you can also use the Eb Major (or C-minor) pentatonic...maybe a good start into the altered universe...with this pentatonic you get the b9, #9,b5,#5,b7....and what is not so bad no root! Many musicians are root oriented and so it is avoided...regards👋
Many thanks Wolfgang! Yeah that's a great move - I touched on this 'up a minor 3rd' trick in my pentatonics lesson - always worried about repeating myself (or making the video too long!) 😂
Amazing video thanks a lot. All your videos are great.🎉 But i did not understand how you decide fmajb6 petatonic over A7alt. What is the logic behind it? Could you pls explain how you decide that? I appreciate in advance.❤
@ejderazizpeker8308 thank you! A couple of interesting things about FMb6 Pent - one is that it's basically an abbreviated form of the A Altered Scale. The other is that if you scrunch all the notes from an A7#5#9 chord down into a scale, you actually end up with the FMb6 Pentatonic - cool huh? 💪🏼
I've bought you some coffees in the past. Tried tonight and the site keeps telling me the payment is complete and then tells me my payment is not working. Great lesson though
Thank you for this great video. Cry me a River and Careless Whisper are great examples that I can use at once. Now check this out: Over Em7 play Gm7 Arp (gives you a minor 9 sound) Over A7alt play Gm7/b5 Arp And then resolve to D major You will find chromatically descending major thirds in the II and Valt Arps. I use that in Girl from Ipanema all the time, because there you have II V twice in a row at the end of the B section.
Hi Steve, I'm a big fan of your playing. I sent you a message via your website regarding private lessons. I thought I would post this here in the case that you don't check that email often. Frank Adamo, Thanks

@@SteveAllsworth Thx Steve, AMAZING CHANNEL !
Brilliant as always. Isn't simplification key to so many interesting things?
Thanks @matthiasscheffler548 - Absolutely!
Great playing and sound. Can you please share what amp, pedals or plugin you are using for that great tone. Also is that the bridge pickup. Thanks
Thanks @GuitarTeleMan - I put some details in the description, but basically AT+ pedal and bridge p/u for the opening solo
Thanks, I should have scrolled down further. Thanks for letting us know you used the Oxbox... seems to be very popular for RUclipsrs.
Obrigado, amigo! Deus te abençoe.

Hi Steve, great lesson, thanks! Great tone too - what gear did you use?
Cheers Drew - I put the gear/tone in the description 🎸
FANTASTICO!

Thank you for this great video. Cry me a River and Careless Whisper are great examples that I can use at once. Now check this out:

Wonderful - thanks for that Lars - love that tune! 🎸
I actually made a mistake there: over Em7 you play the Gmaj7 Arp. I’m sorry.
