    Very cool Lesson - these chordal concepts with arpeggios or spread triads with voice leading is also a nice idea to check out with all new jazzstandards, which we learn!

    I enjoyed the spread triadic and 7th chord arpeggios that utilised the various inversions.
    I’d love to see (and hear) your system for learning chord extensions and altered chords with their various and numerous inversions.

    Wow Ben, this discussion is brilliant. I have always enjoyed your solos over Giant Steps, but this is incredibly helpful to see some of your thinking behind this tune. Also I really love your sound on this guitar, are you blending some of the acoustic sounds with the electric? Great stuff

      @@beneunson WOW. That's amazing. So do you role off the treble much? Special plectrum? It's a very plumy sound for 10's.

      For the same reason that other languages sound indistinguishable to you -- because you don't understand the vocabulary and phrasing yet.
