I had exactly the same problem on my 400w chinese ebike and wouldn't dare to disassemble the motor hub, until I saw your video! In my case one of the soldered wire broke off due to vibration. I resoldered all the connections on that tiny board using silver alloy solder for extra strength, and also topped it up with hot glue to give the wires extra support. Now works as new! Many thanks Vic for inspiration!
Well done for having a go hope its successfull I have the same bike myself but I dont think I would have had the courage to investigate so salute for that and I hope you fix the problem good luck
Your a star, i had a feeling that's why was wrong when mine but wasn't sure whether to open it up but you have shown me the inner workings which has confirmed my thoughts. Big 😊
Saw your written review in another site. 👍🏾 work. I got code E02 on mine that’s 3 weeks old so this is going to be my next resort because I can’t find any information online about my error
Looks burnt out unfortunately Vic. Mine did the same thing. Have a smell of the hub and you will find it quite pungent. I am looking desperately to find a replacement slot in motor to get mine up and running again. Can anyone advise please? I notice the new Samebikes have a different hub fitted and spoke wheels.
Thanks for the video, I have Error Code 09 on the display, took it for a first ride yesterday and after a few miles - Error Code 09. Once I disconnect the green motor wire from the controller and power the Bike back up the Error Code is gone so probably the same problem even though the Error Code 09 suggests a problem with the controller which it obviously isn't.
@@hannahbrooksbank4312 Sorry to hear that, you got me beat on error codes. ;-) I found out that if I disconnect the yellow phase wire of the motor the error disappears but the wheel is still not turning of course. I contacted Geekbuying, the site I got the bike from and they want to send a new controller but I'm afraid that something went wrong inside the motor (overheating prbly), I opened the motor late last night but there's nothing too obvious like broken solder joints etc., some of the windings look a bit darkened but the motor of the OP looks like that on the inside as well. Will have to wait for the new controller (if they really send it) and if that doesn't work I'm afraid I'll have to ship the huge package back to them which is a major PITA.
@@overthetarget9401 Thanks - yes I had to wait a very very long time for my package (and agree to a different bike) and definitely want to avoid sending it back. Very disappointing to have waited so long and it fails on the first ride. Actually I'm going to look a chump to my friends - but I will see if something can be done before giving up.
@@hannahbrooksbank4312 Agreed, first ride and the thing breaks, as you said, very disappointing. Just put the motor back into the wheel, like I mentioned before I couldn't see anything obviously broken but there's lots of stuff that could have gone wrong in there, so here's to hoping that a new controller might fix things. Will keep you updated if the new controller, if and when it arrives, does fix things.
Good morning, pedaling with my L026 with 350w motor this morning, error E07 appeared on the display. What do you advise me to do? Dismantle the engine? The engine runs for a short distance and then the error appears again and does not work and so on, it has lost power.
I have samebike 500W with error07. open it up but did not find the "obvious" . Gonna take it to the bike shop and see if they can help me. Maybe upgrade to 750W or 1000w. Will that be possible with 48v and 10.4ah ?
Thanks Vic - I wanted to replace my motor from 350w to 500w (or 750w), if I can get away with it. Will the existing 48v 10Ah Li-ion battery support this? As you've already taken yours apart, is it a Front, Freewheel or Cassette motor?
Hi thanks for your video. It´s helps a lot. I have a error 09. I get a trance noise from the motor and i stop and turn a power off for a while and I try again and the bicycle work, but only for 30 seconds. I have talk with the company where I buy and I will get a new motor entro 2 month ( long time ) but to day after I have seen this video, I have try to look myself and that it is the engine that has burned off, angles are completely black on one side, then there is only to wait for the new engine. :-( Anyone there now where you buy a new motor and what this price is ?
I bought the same bike in France the 500 W 48 V version and it is very sensitive the motor when it rains it starts to work intermittently, and it growls and the small pinion at the rear does not go ! Do not hesitate to make the warranty work because this kind of bike is not really a good solution.

I have the 48 V 500 W version and the battery remains the same as for a 350 W, the motor is on the rear wheel.

Did you solve the problem?

that dark color of the coils is a symptom of a burnt engine
You should change thé hall sensors
