Never a huge fan of kiss, but a fan of music. But I think I like Kiss more than most Kiss fans. This is just a band playing music because they want to, its always a good thing unless you dont want it to be.

Eric Singer is brilliant, both as a drummer and a vocalist. Kiss should have him singing lead more, even on Paul songs such as "Lick it Up" and "Psycho Circus". Eric's backing vocals make every song better. It is a pleasure to see and hear the performances of this master.
Eric Carr is beloved, and rightfully so. His enthusiasm and energy saved Kiss; and his powerful playing was the signature sound on the Creatures of the Night album, which is one of the band's best. Eric Carr was criminally underused, as Gene and Paul for some reason ignored his talent as a writer, and refused to consider his songs for the albums (while forcing him to record a new version of "Beth", which he hated doing). That said, Eric Carr tended to rush the tempos too much, and to rely too heavily on the double bass. While that style was perfect for the songs from Creatures of the Night, it didn’t suit numbers such as "Love Gun" and "Detroit Rock City", which need to swing. Eric Carr's style overwhelmed and smothered those songs. By contrast, Eric Singer's playing shows a better sense of song. He can do it all; he can go full power and speed on some tunes, and then let others breathe. Eric Singer plays the double bass, but he doesn't overdo it. He understands that less can be more, and that sometimes it's the notes that you don't play that make the song come alive. Eric Carr was a joy. But Eric Singer is the best. (Still, neither one plays "Calling Dr. Love" as well as Peter did, even if Eric Singer successfully captures Peter's grooves in other songs such as "Hotter than Hell" and "Shock Me".)
Cunning Stunt I love his raspy vocals and even Ace’s more punk vocals this line up is definitely missing key ingredients. At least Eric singer fills out the high parts on the choruses
In my opinion, this is the way Kiss should be seen and heard. In a club setting instead of the giant stage arena version. They may be using some tapes on some stuff, but I don't think so on this song.
Gotta give Paul some credit. He has been belting out tunes over 45yrs. Personally I would like to see Peter and Ace at least peform the Encores. Or In the very least the last song performed by the band. The original foursome started it all that '' Changed the face of Rock n Roll '' - And they should have the right to FINISH IT
I honestly think he was reminding him "this is where we turn and face the drummer so people don't think the vocals are recorded" Mainly bc a) they're aware of the vocals controversy and don't want it to effect ticket sales b) they definitely overthink and analyze how they are perceived, Gene especially pays attention to those details always talking about how certain things come off, and why he started doing this or that (always related to showmanship) C) they think (know?) their audience are retards who might not realize the drummer is singing unless everyone on stage stops and looks directly AT HIM.

But in a club with 500 people, up close and personal, it's a different story. The sadness really shines through. Especially considering these are die hard fans, well aware of the lip sync controversy. Kiss was on the right track in the early 90s. More mellow, no more makeup/antics, acoustic sets; just sit down and play the songs! the 'fans' who came for the makeup and stage antics never really cared for the music anyways so screw em. This is sad. Music isn't enough eh? You gotta be a fake puppet show
