    Rings, 2 in the dry and 4 in the wet. Lesson learned. Some days I don't even search the dry sand.

    • @jasondoesthings
      @jasondoesthings  Год назад

      The tide had receded a bit, so some of that sand is still pretty wet except up by the playground, but as a general rule of thumb I like to mix it up. Sometimes the dry sand is very good to me 😊👍

      Cool! Must be some kind of nautical nail since it’s not iron? Sure looks old. That Rolex is out there somewhere! 😃

    Can you tell me how you made your Manticore look so cool? The cord and the coil? Oh ya, great hunt too!

    • @jasondoesthings
      @jasondoesthings  Год назад

      Hi Matt! Thanks! Yep that’s a cable wrap by a company called “Snake Skinz” and then I put some yellow nonmetallic reflective tape cut to size on the coil for better visibility in the water at night. I made a short about the tape.

    Nice hunting, keep it up but will like to inform you that on the rifle case that you recovered is a 5.56 mm or a 223 Remington made in Lake City and probably a date stamp as well although it is used in Simi auto sporting rifles it is also used in bolt action rifles and it is used in many of the small arms that are currently used by the armed forces across the world. It is still just a rifle casing. And should not be said to be specific to a type of firearm. Like to watch make it fun and Happy Hunting 🙂👍..

    What's the best etiquette for finding things of value while metal detecting?

    • @jasondoesthings
      @jasondoesthings  Год назад +1

      Hi Scott, I’m not sure. Do you mean as far as getting the items returned? In the past, my rule of thumb has been if it’s got unique markings or initials I’ll try posting it on different social media platforms and if the person can tell me what the markings are or other forms of proof that it’s theirs, then I can return it.
      Also been able to return a few working iPhones which was really cool 😊
      Hope that answers your question

    That 223 could be many rifles does not have to be from the so called assault rifles😮

    The pendent is Hindu (the marking) a and it looks like Vishnu as the figurine

    The pendant is engraved with the chahada, the Islamic oath.

  • @marklanders630

    .223? Maybe.

      Your guess is better than mine, but that would make sense as a rifle cartridge
