Thank you so much. I picked up a SS SF40 MOP but I just didn’t connect with the dial. I love the watch though. I have a SS SF40 teal incoming and I think this will be the perfect one for me. I’ve watched your review multiple times. It’s my favorite review of this particular watch. Subbed.
Got the 40mm SF teal as well. I love how Zelos incorporate hammerhead teal design into sword fish while reducing the case size! It is very fitting on my 6.5 inch wrist!
I can sometimes feel the spring bar knobs too, but I've narrowed it to the case back being the main culprit for me. I agree, it's minor and not generally bothersome, but I do prefer the original milled version. It didn't have the "issue" of the Mako. This is still presently one of my favorite watches though! Now I just need to secure a green one too 🤞
Nice comparison Jonathan , I'm conflicted as i love how my SF40 black sands fits and wears on wrist , i just don't like the patina lume colour so will probably be looking to move it on , wished i had got that teal version..................Good luck with your hunt for the green dial :)
Thank you! That is always a tough one. I felt the same way about the patina lume on my forged carbon initially, but it grew on me. Maybe try giving it a bit more time. If not, hopefully you can find someone willing to trade or sell and buy one you like better 🤞 Good luck to you as well!
Very cool! The Teal is a stunner and the Grey is an attractive first. They present very differently too (colors, bezels, etc.) so it will be great for the collection and video. Cheers
I just ordered a 42mm version with an NH35 movement and date. 200m water resistant doesn't mean you can dive down 200m with it. It is the static water pressure, and probably means you are ok to about 20m.
Nice! I think you'll really like it. I was honestly luke on the SF40 because I like the 42 a lot, but it is pretty awesome and one of my favorites at the moment. The sandwich dial meteorite was a killer first and tough to resist!
My Black Sand hasn't left my wrist except for showers. Honeymooning the hell out of this amazing watch. Another smash hit for Zelos!! Was already subbed...but I did SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON!!! Haha
Thanks Scott! I know the feeling well! The teal SF40 has been calling to me everyday too. I didn't think I "needed" another or smaller Swordfish, but am so glad I got it anyways. Cheers
Just checked my meteorite 40mm and it doesn't have the bevel on the date window, just a cutout. I guess it is because of the brittle material. They didn't want to risk destroying them in the process.
You're correct, I don't think Zelos has featured a bevel on any of the meteorite dials. The SF40 was the first to feature a meteorite sandwich dial though, which is really cool. You picked a great looking colorway! PS - I'll be uploading a review of the new Forged Carbon Titanium 42mm version this weekend, if you're interested. You should receive an alert if you're subscribed. Cheers!
@@JonathanTReviews I was wrestling with myself if I should buy one of those as well, but in the end decided against it. Now, a 40mm bronze would be something cool to have. Let's see if there will be an equally cool color way once they come out. I am not sure with the so called Limited Editions though. I thought all of them are limited. Mine is 026 of 100.
Definitely understandable. The 40 and 42 really feel like different watches in many respects, despite being more similar than not in design. The bronze ones should be pretty awesome! I love my 42mm versions in bronze. You're right about the usage of "limited". For all practical purposes, each colorway in each batch is limited. The only thing that would change would be if Elshan ever decided to do another run. He has used the reference to limited versions to denote special dial materials. One such example is the collaboration Mako model with a sodalite dial. I'll be receiving and reviewing the first production sample of that one soon (and my pre-ordered personal one too). It looks really neat from what I've seen!
Nice! It should be excellent. I have a couple Frost Zelos watches (Mako V3 and Horizons V2). The BGW9 dial and, in this case, C3 sandwich is both useable and unique. During the day it's a subdued white sand dial but at night it becomes playful. Enjoy!
Yeah i like the way it's pretty discreet during business hours and then goes berserk at night. :) Looking forward to seeing more from your channel. Nice work so far!
Take the bracelet off the 40mm Swordfish, then try to put it back on. Can you do it? I can't on mine. No how, no way. The ends of the spring bars just won't drop into the holes in the lugs. I'm sending mine back. Trying to figure out if my issue is a one-off, or is the whole run flawed.
Sorry to read you're having issues. I've had this one off and on a couple times. For me, it was the easiest bracelet I've ever uninstalled and installed, so it should hopefully not be a wider spread issue.
@@b.vonschnauser207 Thanks! You have probably already tried, but it may help to push out on the ball head once you think it's in place. Sometimes with quick release bars and tight end links the spring isn't enough to seat it on its own. If you still don't have any luck, Elshan's customer service is great in my experience. Cheers
I agree regarding scuffs and dings. These issues were however anomalies in my experience and promptly addressed. I've experienced issues with significantly higher priced watches as well unfortunately. For the money, I've yet to experience a higher quality or better finished watch, minor issues aside. The handful that did have issues were replaced with new ones right away. I wouldn't let it stop me from getting one (and plan to get a green when I find one). Cheers
They are very popular and do sell out quickly. However, they often pop up on the secondary market at decent prices and will be available from some dealers. There will also be more batches coming this year. Best of luck, they're great watches and worth the wait! By the way, a 42mm titanium version was recently released and there are a couple colorways still in stock. If you're not already subscribed to my channel, I'll have a Ti version and be doing a review soon.
Each link section is a two piece construction. It's stainless on the inside against the skin, so it shouldn't cause any greening or irritation, at least for those that can wear stainless back bronze watch heads. Cheers

It is a very well executed watch and I'm a big fan of both models! Thanks for watching!
Thanks very much! This really helps with my decision between a 40 and a 42!
Awesome! Glad I could help 😊
So it's the edge on the case back that im feeling! Not a deal breaker at all, but I was thinking it was the knobs on the spring bars. Good to know!

Great review and comparison. I should have my SF40 this week for review👍🏻

Cool, I will have a titanium forged carbon soon and plan to include a review on the channel. If you mean the titanium grade, it's Grade 2.
My meteorite is meant to come today or tommorow, can't wait

Great vid. Love the SF40. Emerald is sexy.

I will try to hunt 42mm titanium meteorite next week 👍
