Daily bronze wearer here. Despite the stainless steel backings, you’re still going to get green spots on your wrist sometimes, especially in summer when you sweat a bit more. Bronze wears heavier than steel also.
I don't know, bronze makes me think about the Ancient Greeks and Egyptians. Even though they didn't have watches (and certainly no divers' ones at that).

From Monochrome: Today Oris unveils a new, quite striking and original watch, a solid bronze piece in a limited run of 250 pieces, designed to pay tribute to Hölstein, the village where Oris was founded in 1904. An all-bronze version of the Divers Sixty-Five chronograph, it is the first watch made in Switzerland to feature a solid bronze bracelet… And probably the boldest Oris so far. Let’s have a closer look at the Oris Hölstein Edition 2020 Bronze.
But 250 pices is almost a non existing range. From a brand like Oris, that is really limited! And it will definetly get you way more green on the wrist than the solution Zelos have come up with.

Oris were the first if I remember correctly with the oris Holstein 2020 edition, not sure if it had a big release but It’s on the Instagram account from back in July 2020
So I've had my full bronze Zelos a good few weeks now...there is no issue with the links being hindered by patina build up, in fact the bracelet articulates very smoothly. The design has worked,at least for me, no green on skin from the bronze. A little mention for customer service, of the salmon dial variants only 100 were issued, I put in a long shot request for my birth year...and Elshan the owner got that to me. Pretty happy with that!
Not a fan of bronze watches. But I have just realized that I have not said 'thank you' yet for the enjoyment / entertainment from watching your videos. So, thank you!
Oris went full bronze for a divers chronograph, the Holstein edition. Either way, something not best repeated IMO! Oris didn't even steel cap the back either....
Liver of sulphur solution worked well for my 42mm Swordfish. The bluish / purplish tint it imposed complemented the watch's blue dial perfectly. It got me on the bronze thing and I just picked up my second one, a Glycine Combat Sub. I'm waiting to see how it patinas on its own without any help. A comment about Zelos... although my Swordfish had a slightly misaligned bezel when it arrived I brought it to their attention and they gladly took it back and corrected the misalignment. It exemplified the ethic I think we'd all like to see from microbrands. You don't just wear the watch, you wear the brand, and in doing so, you want to feel good about your choice. They and another popular brand you've reviewed have done an excellent job of standing behind their product. Unfortunately, not all have and it sours the experience as a result. Another brand which has also been reviewed favorably here and elsewhere shrugged its misalignment off to "manufacturing tolerances" and refused to do anything but offer to ship me a replacement bezel. Setting aside that this may not have resolved the issue they told me that they would void the warranty as a result of this. That is a brand not deserving of time in my wrist or my business, no matter how popular their product. Sorry...rant over. Another great review as always!
I bought this watch with the forged carbon dial and bronze bracelet in the 40 mm and I just love it. Your video made it a no-brainer to add this bronze watch to my collection.
Hey, I wish I had the bucks kicking around to buy an Oris Hölstein, so hats off to Zelos for making a sweet-lookin’ bronze watch some of us mortals can afford.
Looks fantastic, now a fully bronze watch and bracelet with no steel but treated to not patina at all. I really love that colour. Great review, this watch at this price is a steal.
Thanks Jodi, my steel 40mm Swordfish with blue meteorite should be on its way soon. This is my first watch video to view after no power, no water in Texas. Hope you are warm, down-under...

Whoa awesome Watch! I own a regular swordfish 40 and will likely pick this one up as well. I think Oris actually made an all bronze watch with bracelet a few years ago in a chrono but it was more than 3 grand so...
This thing is going to sell out quicker than the SS models. I'm not a bronze fan but I know plenty are and the SF40 is by far one of the best values out there. My Black Sand SF40 still gets tons of wrist time and I got in on it's original release in June 2020. Great video! You're the first to review this bad boy.
Zelos is by far my personal #1 “microbrand” (what does that even really mean anymore honestly lol). Pure, original designs, incredible quality top to bottom, and for the most part they look absolutely stunning. My favorite watch I currently own is my bronze/black meteorite, dateless, 42mm (the OG version, pre-40mm) Swordfish. Love Zelos. However something I did find (after finally checking out the newer 40mm version of the same model) which surprised me was that the 40mm version wasn’t nearly as much to my immediate liking as my own 42 always was from day 1. I have very small wrists and my Swordfish is at the very top razor’s edge of what I can manage to wear with a lug-to-lug somewhere between 47-48 I think. Much bigger than I normally wear. So I expected to like the 40mm Swordfish a lot more than my older one, but didn’t at all. The 40 somehow didn’t seem to catch my eye in the same way, looked and felt slightly cheaper in ways I can’t exactly put my finger on, etc. Difficult to describe tbh. There were also actual design element changes I simply just personally didn’t like as much. E.g. the bezel is bronze on the 42 but on the 40 it’s meteorite like the dial- yet seems to have a slightly more matte, plasticky finish than the dial meteorite does, and that looks a bit cheap to me. Idk, I know I’m not doing the best job of describing what I don’t like about the 40mm version. But the 42 is gorgeous- it had me hooked as soon as I discovered it while the 40 didn’t have that effect on me even a little bit which was honestly the opposite of what I expected lol. Anyway, I love Zelos. I get the fact that they all sell out in two seconds after release is a pain in the ass but everyone should really give a Zelos a chance at some point, maybe pick one up on eBay or something, idk whatever. They’ve made a ton of amazing watches.
The salmon dial watch sold out in about 1 minute. They sold out of the emerald, carbon, and black meteorite soon after. They still have a few frost (white) and teal.
That bracelet on its own is a feat of achievement, on its own. And, I wouldn't have the watch without the bronze bracelet, now that I know that the option exists !! Great review !!
Very interesting with the full bronze bracelet. The one problem I can see happening is that the bracelet will get stretched and sloppy over time due to the fact that bronze is a much softer metal then stainless steel. I had this issue with a Rolex jubilee 2 tone bracelet where all the solid gold links had stretched.

Hi Jody I’ve been watching your videos for a few years now. I’m surprised you haven’t looked at one of damasko’s watches. I’ve been daily wearing one for months now and it has been a tremendous watch.
Omar, I would say if you are looking for a Bronze watch in the $400 price range look to the Glycine Combat Sub, you get Swiss made with company heritage, very thin and wearable and come in 42mm or 48mm depending on your case diameter preference.
Just received my shipping notice for this exact combination. Will be interesting to see how it works out. Might have to force patina on mine because the full bracelet and head in bronze looks a little over the top for an every day wear. Thanks for the great review though. 👍
Liking Zelos more and more, nearly pulled the trigger on the Skyraider 2 dithered too much but wish I had. This ones not for me been bronze, plus meteorite is even becoming a bit meh now. Best thing about this brand for me, is they keep it fresh and modern and are not afraid to try something new. 🤓

You mentioned the short strap, welcome to my world. With 8 inch wrists I'm always in the last hole with most straps except the occasional rubber divers style. Turned me into a metal bracelet guy.
Looks great, but personally I'm not a bronze guy. I own the SF40. Very good quality, especially the bezel and the bracelet. I would prefer applied indices, the sandwich dial of the SF looks a bit cheap, just my opinion. Keep up your great work, Jody.
Helloooo. Jody thanks for the review! This color combination is probably my favorite combo on all the SF but I just can't get past the 40mm dimensions. I don't have a large wrist (about the same size as yours) but when you put an adequate size bezel on a 40mm diver, the dial just seems small. Also the last version of the black meteorite bronze sf had applied indices which I prefer. It's hard but I think i'm going to hold out for the HH3 coming soon hopefully.
The only other watch with full Bronze bracelet Oris Holstein limited edition 2019/2020 sold out second hand market £3000/£4500. When bracelet is discoloured looks tacky, far better nice bronze patina case with good quality rubber strap and nice bronze buckle all day long. 199 dollars crazy price ( 6 months will be 99 dollars ) love your videos quality information.
Hmmmm.......tempting. I asked @stowawatches whether they were going to do a bronze bracelet for their bronze watch, but was told there were no plans for it. They have a 36mm file get coming out in the next few days, so I’m going to see what price that is before committing. 🤔
Let's talk about that Gojira shirt! Looking tops Jody! As for the watch, I'm going to say niche indeed! It's a pretty setup, but I think I may like it better on the tropic strap and I think most people probably will, but that bracelet is certainly going to attract some.
Man I remember a few years ago you could wait til the last few days of the early bird pricing to order one. They have exploded. Gotta get me another one.
Damnit! I really didn't want to buy another watch just yet... I think it looks amazing, but I do have a thing for bronze. Will be so interesting to see how the whole bracelet ages
Great review Jody. I get that people are upset with the zelos marketing, i was too. But, zelos is still a very small operation and to manage quality and price, they need to sell quickly, i get that. The other thing is that some people buy multiple dial versions of the same watch only to cancel some of the orders later (suddenly they are avaliable without notice, only to go out of stock moments later), and that's just not nice. However, the myth of the elusive zelos is not 100% right, as i write this comment there are 26 kinds of zelos watches available on their site (and probably more than one of each), so maybe the "hot" dial versions (like the salmon dial for the sf40) are gone fast, but most of them are there for at least couple of hours and sometimes days, weeks or months, that's enough time to get your hands on one, if not your first choice than the second choice.
Pretty sure there is an all bronze watch and bracelet of the oris 65 that came out first. Look for the Holstein edition. I believe it is the chrono version.
They are trying to do a rolex. Hype up demand, restrict the supply, so that scarcity is produced and felt by people, making them even more sought after. It is exploitative. For that reason I would steer clear of them. They don't respect their customers.
I love this watch color and design! I didn’t hear a length of the bronze bracelet. This would effect my decision to pay a considerable amount for this watch and bracelet package. Otherwise this is a great review as always Jody!!!
Just received mine. Came in the box but not the nice leather watch roll. Got a very plastic faux leather zip up pouch instead and the strap came separately in a weird little round case. Also noticed some of the links in the bracelet are not perfectly fused and I can see slight gaps between the steel and bronze on some of them. They are also not very well rounded at the joints so don't articulate very well.
I hope an even cheaper brand like San Martin, or sharkie make a bronze bracelet for their watches. I love bracelets and it would complete my bronze 62 mas
The salmon one was sold for exactly 5 minutes... I was thinking of buying one, but while i was thinking it was just sold out. Well, i'm still waiting my LAUNCH SPECIAL teal one, so i wasn't really sure i want a bronze swordfish. That solved it for me anyway.
Really stunning looking timepiece that's for sure. But it's definitely not the first bronze watch including a bronze bracelet. I might be wrong and there might be one that was released even earlier but I think the Oris Hölstein Edition 2020 was the first all bronze watch in this regard. With an MSRP of 5560$ it plays in an other league of course 😬
I honestly prefer brands which don't sell out while watching the review.

Wow first time I have seen a full bronze watch
Did people in the Bronze Age walk around with nasty rashes? This is the kind of thing that keeps me up at night.
You don't frequently touch your spearheads/axe blades and swords have handles.
They are trying to do a rolex. Hype up demand, restrict the supply, so that scarcity is produced and felt by people, making them even more sought after. It is exploitative. For that reason I would steer clear of them. They don't respect their customers.
Ye, bronze is not a smart thing to wear to be honest. Sweat will Oxidize it and Bronze Oxide is not exactly good for you.
Finally! Waited for it for so Long!
I guess someone was eventually going to do it, surprised it's taken this long.
Btw, nice coke bottle on the shelf 😎😎
Yet another AWESOME Godzilla tee!
I have wanted a bronze bracelet for a long time
I hope an even cheaper brand like San Martin, or sharkie make a bronze bracelet for their watches.
👍 Looks great. Love the Bronze.
New thing I learned today about Bronze
I do like a good bronze watch. I've got a couple myself... But I'm not sure about a bronze bracelet though.
Can you tell us what other color combinations there will be except the meteorite? A black dial for sure, but any other options?
I own it and I love it.
Jody pls do a BEST Daytona homage video
Of possible do include steel bezel chronographs that are lower than 40mm
Thanks
Your doing an awesome job ❤️
Last time I was this early my bronze flieger was still shiny.
As always another great review
