My husband took over the dining room with cd’s, and wine, the lounge with billions of vinyl records & guitars. He has 10% vision so the tech does not work. I retaliated with a yarn room upstairs and garage conversion for sewing painting and craft. There’s always a solution to stuff Jen x

We have been buying loads of DVDs, including boxsets, of favourite old series and binge watching them without any stress, just pure viewing pleasure that's worth every penny! Some of them are used but as good as new.

I think I have a new favourite flower. That David Austin rose is amazing and such a pretty pink. I can see the apricot you mentioned in some of the flowers. Gorgeous! The Queen of Sweden

Thank you for showing the ball winder hint. I’ve been wrapping mine with tape because I also was afraid to pull on it too hard. You make the most beautiful yarn colors!

We have a Queen of Sweden among our David Austin roses in the garden. It really is a beautiful rose. Your yarn is lovely and also reminds me of strawberry swirl ice cream.

Kay and Dan, thank you for your fun and educational videos! I have bee wanting to tell you how much I enjoy your "Crunkle" sock pattern! It's addicting! I've knitted four pairs in a short period of time. My friend also bought your pattern, and we went to a knittig shop in Pacific Grove, CA (next to Monterey) and one of the clerks said she was also going to do your pattern! love it! Thank you ❤

I like your thinking and totally agree with going back to DVD’s. Our streaming is driving us nuts….it either goes off or we have to sit through many long commercials which drive me crazy! 😜

Thank you so much for the tip about the ball winder. I'd had the same problem with mine and thought it was broken, but mine also pulls out and locks in with a good tug!

Thank you for another terrific episode. You inspired me to listen to Beethoven's 2nd Symphony, which I hadn't heard in a long time. We are also fans of Holst's "The Planets". If you listened to the whole thing, you would have heard the melody to I Vow to Thee My Country; one of the most beautiful melodies of all time.

I’m a David Austin rose fanatic!!! We bought our first house this winter and you can bet the first gardening task I did was pre-order a row of roses. I chose Princess Alexandra of Kent and they were surprisingly affordable (for live plants)! They’re very wee this year, but they’ll get quite big and be covered in giant, luxurious, fragrant, blousy roses one day!

WHEN MUSTARD was one of the main crops in East Anglia, it was cut by hand with scythes, in the same way as corn. The crop could grow up to six feet high and this was very arduous work, requiring extremely sharp tools. When blunt they "would not cut the mustard".

We have a lot of dvds and since we started streaming, I've considered donating them a few times. However, lately with streaming, i either have found nothing to watch or I stream the movies i have on the dvds. Our system is Google and while watching a podcast yesterday, my lights came on. We do still have the manual switches. I get frustrated when everyday i ask for the forecast and I'm given it in Fahrenheit when it was programmed for Celsius. Somedays, it doesn't listen to me at all.
Love the Swedish rose colourway. The speckling is perfect.

Ooh! Could we maybe have a series about classical music? Maybe Dan could take us on some adventures to sites significant to classical music and teach us a bit about it? Not sure if that’s feasible or not…

I don't know if you check comments on old videos, but I've been catching up and I thought I'd ask if you've tried mixing the jacquard dye with some citric acid to create a more granular powder? I've done this before and the citric acid helps the dye particles bind to the yarn before it spreads too much x

Yay! I'm glad you're going to release the Headrian's cowl as a pattern! It's lovely and Dan's knitting of it looks spectacular! Can't wait! Kay, your reading shawl is beautiful and I know you're going to love using it! Just gorgeous! By the way, Kay, weren't you working on a bed jacket for yourself or did that go by the wayside? Or are you just taking a break from it? Also, I'm glad you figure out the yarn winder and getting it to work for you. I'm one of those people who told you to pull that piece out. I don't believe it was mentioned in the instructions, if there even were any, but they should include something about that. I had my winder for years before I discovered that. It would go out so far and stay okay, but I found out by accident that it could come out even further and was super excited that I could also now wind a larger ball. Yay! I'm so excited for you! I love the pink yarn you dyed up this time. It's beautiful.
