I am really happy to be a Patreon! You guys always provide such great content! The heat wave is here too, the early mornings and later evenings are so nice, but wow, the middle of the day is a whopper! Kids at school have had to dismiss their sports practices!

Two of my friends sang "I'm just a girl who can't say no" at a church talent show. One was 7 months pregnant and the other was 8 months pregnant. Brought down the house!

I’ve used that WYS line for 3 or 4 different pairs of socks and haven’t noticed any inconsistency like what you showed. In fact, I found them very cushy. I wonder if it varies by color. I have some more skeins, so I’ll have to check.

Thank you for keeping me company on a non-knitting day. Had a treatment for tennis elbow. Very painful today so most activities are off. Hopefully, tomorrow the pain subsides and i can get back to usual.
Totally agree with your frustration relating to darkly filmed movies etc. Saw the latest Indiana Jones ... i was amused when one scene had background music which was the same as 1 scene in The Fugitive. The Fugitive is one of my fave movies.
Getting excited for a local yarn festival starting tonight!
Edit - just before preparing the yarn, are those horse chestnuts? We had a tree in our yard + they were so prickly.

Hi Kate your colours are gorgeous and that green is ideal. Just a tip that might help your ball winder off the swift. Try positioning the winder at a greater distance from the swift to absorb any irregularity in the yarn speed coming off the swift. It might help. It helped me.

I would second this tip. I read somewhere that you should have 3-4 feet between the swift and winder.

Hi Kay & Dan. Hello from the east coast of the US in Massachusetts. Just wanted to say that I really enjoy your podcast and look forward to all segments. Kay, you seem to be struggling with your ball winding, ugh! 😒 I did some research and found a ball winder made by Stanwood Needlecraft: Large Metal Yarn Ball Winder 10 oz - Heavy Duty. I have, like you, tried the less expensive and wooden ones. The less expensive just fell apart and I didn't like the way I had to wind the ball with the wooden brand. So I searched on. The Stanwood is not inexpensive but not outrageously expensive either. It's fast, quiet and makes a very nice ball of yarn. If you choose to purchase, please pay particular attention to the instructions on attaching the support arm to the base. I found it is critical in its placement. Almost sent it back thinking the whole thing was rubbish only to discover it was all down to user error. 😮🤦‍♀ Oh my. Good luck on your search and please keep those podcasts coming.

Yes the designer should know if something is wrong . Midknits gave me my $$ back cuz 1 no. of st. were wrong . I had to tell her twice but finally she saw it and was thankful to me. Thats why all paid patterns should really be test knitted

I am with you Kay. I hate the dark filming, and the bòring shades of grey. And please turn up the sound. (Don't mean You Dan. Your filming and sound is gteat).😊
