I love seeing different takes on this topic. I have no problem people touching my decks but I am the only person to shuffle my cards, period. I shuffle the deck, the client cuts and chooses the cards. There is only one deck that I let others shuffle because it has a very "communal" energy to it and I feel its meant to be read as a co-creation kinda thing, if that makes any sense. Thanks for sharing!
Loved this video. I don’t tend to do in-person. But I think I’d let them shuffle and cut if they want and then give the cards back to me in one pile. Personally, I riffle shuffle 3 times, the. Overhand shuffle back and forth until it feels right. Then I always burn the top 5 cards to honor the 4 elements and spirit, they go off to the side. And then I start reading with the 6th card. If there is a clarifying question, I put those 5 back in the deck, riffle shuffle, overhand shuffle, then burn 5, and use the 6th card.
Thanks Ethony! So many different ways to shuffle and pick cards. I really liked your dnd reference and I am going to pull out my dnd dice and try that method. Also I really liked the one where you opened the deck like a book. Thanks for your time and effort to give us this video. Really thought provoking and shows your love and passion for the craft. X
Love this video!! I’m very interested in learning Tarot but have been a little confused how to go about it. Thank you for sharing this...my new Go To video! 💜
I once heard that when the very first card ends up being reversed that it's recommended to turn the entire tarot deck around. What's your practice when this occurs?

Do you use tarot and oracle cards together? If you do; do you have a video on it? 😊
I am a riffle/bridge shuffler. I can't do that with certain decks like The True Black Tarot however.
