after trying this stitch out for myself I got a multiple of 3 + 2 instead of the 3 + 3 that’s said in the video. I kept getting an extra stitch at the end of row 2.

hello, it depends on the size you will make. but for 100x100 cm size, 8-9 pieces of 100 gr yarn will be sufficient. If you use a large crochet number, the thread count will decrease.
