We discovered the camping - car sites on our tour around France this year. We found the app very helpful as it tells you how many places are available before you arrive! Not many of the camping - car sites are grass only so you must have been unlucky. Like you said they are value for money as you get electricity and somewhere to fill and dump your waste etc. Looking forward to your next vlog.
Thanks Margo Yes we like the camping car parks. We managed to find two grass sites 😂. It’s been so rainy! We are getting closer to the sunshine now though ❤️❤️❤️
Looks like the journey is going well :) I'm glad to hear that you are already getting better weather :D I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that 2025 is going to be a magical year for the 3 of you :) Safe travels!
Thank you ❤️ Tea the journey is going really great. Just south of Bilboa now enjoying lovely sunshine all day. Wishing you a very happy new year for 2025 ❤️❤️❤️
Yes Dave, we now know that we are VERY much happier when travelling. The VanLife suites us so well. We look back at the awful time on the Narrowboat from late 2020 to June 2024 with great sadness. It's 11am local time as I write this and the sun is UP UP UP and recharging our powerbank via the solar panel :) #lifeisgood
Safe travels guys. We messed up the tunnel as we’ve booked it too late, forgetting the hour difference. Also we’re travelling down the East of France and I didn’t realise how much colder it is that way. Lessons learned again. Can’t wait to get going though! Do love the CCP system although they do have some ex campsites like you stopped on, which are a bit less “loved” But even so, great prices! Annoying about the Bluetti but the All Powers seems good👍 Hope the trip is going well - travel safe 👍👍
Yes, some CCP aires are WAY better than others but as you say they are great value especially compared with UK cheap sites ! I now use the Bluetti to charge the AllPowers. We keep the bluetti switched off all the time and just switch it on IF the allPowers needs a boost up. The AllPowers is currently on charge from the 200 watt solar pannel that came with it and getting 100 watt in :)
We have yet to have a dc charger fitted so the cigar lighter socket is the only way. It's really awful and takes SOOOOO long to charge up that I just don't bother now. This morning at about 10:30 local time, the sun came up over the mountain so the 200 watt solar panel is out and plugger into the AllPowers. Currently pushing about 120 watts :)
We are 7.5 and booked on the chunnel for the 5th of May returning 1st of August..£345. Bit dearer than the ferries but so much more convenient, especially as we have a dog.
We always use the Channel Tunnel ad what we've seen since 2017 when we started is the cost going from £99 each way to about £350 return it was not the same price both ways. We use the tunnel as it is super convenient and fast.
Hi Guys, following your journey, Happy new year.
Hi Steve and Wendy if your passing threw Riberac pop in and say hello
We would for sure 👍- we are now south of Bilbao so maybe next time 👍😀😎
We went to three different aires while travelling through France that were closed, they were putting in campercontact card entry system.
Yes Christine more aires are going over to CampingCar Park Card.
Kettle. We bought a camping kettle 700watts only. Takes a bit longer to boil but works well.
Maybe a good option 👍😀😎

Very exciting going to new places. 100% with you there. Keeps you fresh and staves off the boredom that comes with routine.

Hi Steve have you thought about getting a diesel heater fitted I watch a lot of other campers that swear by them
Hi Martin, Yes that is on the list to have a look at when we get back from this trip 👍
Safe travels guys.

Good to see you on your way……….we charge our power bank while we’re travelling ……..it’s mad that they use power while switched on Xx
