I thought you might like some more background on why there are defibrillators in phone boxes in the uk. It’s because the locations are already central to villages, already undercover and protected, unused, and already connected to power! Defibrillators only need trickle charge once charged, so BT actually provides power to these locations free of charge as a charitable donation. All you have to do is ‘adopt’ a phone box and get a defibrillator (usually a community effort). BT will keep it running and gift the space! Kind of cool :) So here for the Canada series, my favourite place in the world. Happy Christmas guys :)
That is really cool re defibrillators and of course readily available to the public in the event that they are needed! Merry Christmas and Have a Happy New Year! We have something called Public Access Defibrillator Program with Apps to tell you where they are but honestly, they are available all over the place…malls, golf course, gyms and fitness centres, ski hills, and private homes as well! I still like your experience of having them in the telephone boxes!
Don’t give up on the banter it’s just good fun, the content you put up and the van builds are brilliant, keep up the good work , your channel really makes my Saturday morning.
I know i thought it was Monday again without the sunshine, skies are grey as fook in the UK, you ain't missing much, looking forward to the Clear blues

How nice it is to watch a couple that actually are prepared for a cold weather trip. You are a lovely breath of fresh air . Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and the locals great video. Lets share these videos these guys deserve to get to 100k subs
My best Xmas present. I was teaching my step son to ride motor bikes around our local quarry. I had a dog of a Honda XL185, so I brought a rough old Yamaha DT125 for my step son around October time and kept it a secret at my dad’s. Over the next months I re built it, sprayed it, re covered the seat and got new chino plastic for it. It looked mint. On Xmas day we went to mum and dads for dinner and popped to the toilet, but really went and dragged the DT out. We told my step son to get some cards out of our car and he just casually walked past the bike, never said a word. When we told him it was his he nearly collapsed. Best present ever was seeing his face. Happy Xmas 🌨️🌨️
Watching you two is so refreshing. The sort of people I love to spend time with, down to earth and naturally funny together. Really enjoying your adventures.
Favourite Christmas present - a Black and Decker electric drill, when I was 10 years old in 1976. My folks were religious so naturally we went to chapel on Christmas Day to the service, and as kids you were allowed to take a present along. The kids were invited to the front of the chapel to show off their gifts, and imagine how proud I was with my drill. I distinctly remember being stood next to one of my cousins who was 11, and feeling so superior as I had an electric drill, not a kids toy. I still have the drill, not that it gets used any more, but it’s priceless to me. I now have a tool collection to rival John’s, and something must be subliminally telling me to hoard drills, as I have so many now I don’t actually know how many I have. 😀
By far my favourite RUclipsrs.. fantastic video footage, John definitely has a crude sense of humour. 😂 I think you’re fantastic and I’m all ready looking forward to the next video. Stay safe ❤
my favourite xmas prezzie was from my wife this year , i suffered a heart attack 2 months ago an while i was in hospital , i managed to bugger up my ipad , so bless her she got me a new one, merry xmas to you both and everyone else watching , also have a great new year
The Canadians appear to be such a welcoming and friendly lot. Hats off to them. General Jess your planning skills are off the charts. Coupled with Captain Jon Sparrow (man up with the rum 😂) you make the best travel vlogging couple on RUclips. Love the content, and your camera work and filming keeps on getting better and better. Stay safe, stay warm, stay funny. Stay trueblue
Just watched the vlog. What a wonderful place that is. Re Christmas presents I'm a 63 year old lady but my best pressie was a series 1 Raleigh Chopper in the 70s, wish I still had it! ❤
Merry Christmas to the nicest couple I know ❤ I’m stoked about your trip to Canada and so grateful you’ve taken us all along with you. This video series feels more personal and relaxed. Your camerawork is fantastic and you both look happy and excited about your trip. Spat my tea out over the morning glory buns…😂 My best present ever was a metal detector ( I know…sad geek alert). Ooohhh I’m all excited for you. And you thanked me first! I’m so touched guys. Love ya both tonnes ❤🫂
Ah thanks very much that’s so kind, I’d love a metal detector too, when the farmer ploughs his field I’d like to go out hunting as apparently there’s meant to be some lost jewels round by us 💙
Pretty daring to visit Canada in winter living in a van. I applaud you. Enjoying your adventure can't wait to see what you are up to next, it's a beautiful country to explore. I live here and still find new experiences every year.
Glad to see you enjoying Home Depot, reminds me of B&Q back home. So funny when Jess became concerned about Jon's piece re thankful of our women, I'm still laughing. Nice to see the kilt out again. Perhaps it needs a revival, you are in New Scotland after all 😉. Fave Xmas present Sindy car and horse from the 70's. Have fun guys 🤍💛💙
Belated Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas! I’m very jealous of your adventures, and can see you’re having a great time! A Christmas without concussion for once Jon!! You guys are great, and your videos on a Saturday morning make my weekend! Keep up the superb work! 👍🏻
That was a hilarious video 😊 We can’t wait for the next one. Since we are preparing for our Arctic trip in our DIY campervan, can you tell us about the shoes, and jacket and other clothing for those cold conditions. Maybe you could make a small item about it. Greets from The Netherlands 🇳🇱 Sjoerd & Claudia

Cracking video as always, great to start Saturday with a chuckle, but something that doesn't get mentioned enough, the quality of your filming, editing and general prowess as filmmakers, over the last two years has developed to a standard that's on a par with the professionals, well done on the brilliant content, so looking forward to the rest of your time in Canada, and many more adventures to come. Happy New Year / Bonne Annee to you both.
Absoulty beautiful location to start with stay safe. Look forward to the next adventure in Canada. Lastly when Jon asked alexia to turn off the lights my house went into darkness 😂
Hello BOTH!! I so enjoy al the content of the video, it's so funny (with those comments of double meanings) with great laughter and fun. The views of the countryside, along with the information about the area is educational. My favourite Christmas gift memory is when I was very young I received a three-wheel cycle with a "bread bin" carrier on the back, wore it out through constant use! What I appreciate is the way that you involve the viewer(s) and make it all interesting! "Happy Christmas" and many more video's for the coming new year! Best wishes from Lincolnshire
My favourite Christmas present was a 41 piece A/F, Metric and Whitworth 1/2” drive socket set. Still got it 40 years later and I still use it on my old Brit bike
It was so fun to see you guys here in Halifax Jess and Jon! You are now absolutely Official Maritimers! LOL Krista has caught me watching this episode and now I have to rewind! Giggle! Have a wonderful trip and enjoy our wonderful country! Hugs to you both!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you both. Meant to say on one of your other videos with regards to condensation etc, if you ever find yourselves in a bit of a bind, cheap tights and crystalized cat litter, works just as well as the pingi de-humidifier pads and can double as a draught excluder.
What a lovely Sunday treat! Merry Christmas to you and thank you for showing the world how beautiful Nova Scotia is! And you’re just getting started. You’ll find Canadians across the country are just as nice as the maritimers you’ve met thus far. Happy New Year to you both!
Yay!! Saturday & Canada🥳🥳 I love your "rude" banter & to anyone who doesn't 🤬😂😂 Another brilliant vlog with a bit of everything in it. I also love the wildlife....what man doesn't like looking for a bald eagle or wild beaver?😉 I'm subscribed to Mr Hewes & he (& his crew) do some amazing & crazy things. I'm also subscribed to JP Lameroux (think I've spelt that right🤔) He & his mrs & dog do campervan travels, but he's also into wildlife & survival skills, so a mixture of everything thrown in. Anyway, so far, so good on your travels. Looks like you had a great Christmas. Did I hear you say its Jons birthday?🤔 If so, Happy Birthday & Merry Christmas. Hope you enjoyed your Morning Glory Muffin Jon & it was Mmmmm😂😂 Merry Christmas to everyone & Happy New Year🥳🥳🍾🥂🍻
@@truebluetravellers Aw it's a pleasure watching you. Thanks for taking us on your adventures & making the videos, which are just brilliant. It's not just the banter between you both, but some of the scenery you show is just stunning.
Jon's going to luv this one. My favourite Christmas present was a red cantiliver metal toolbox for me to separate all my tools for doing car engine reconditioning with a mate. Plus putting an 1100 engine in an 850 Mini from 1963.
Yay, Happy Christmas to you both & Happy Birthday Jon. Brilliant adventures so far can’t wait for more. Those morning glory muffins although nice, big and moist, I’d imagine they’re time consuming to get through when you’ve a day of adventures to get on with…. Best saved for a lazy Sunday at home?!? 🤣☺️😜 You have yourselves a great week, Happy New year 🎉xxxx
@ no worries. Im glad how humble u are i always thank the peeps that give me donations on my streams no matter how small every bit helps. Enjoy. Im onto 1 million tonnes of water 🤣🤣😎😎😎
Looks like you pair are having a blast in Canada it looks amazing. Keep the videos coming please you two make our Saturday. Happy Christmas and a happy new year
Glad you’re on your way! With regard to pick up trucks with snow plough blades - having lived in Alaska, many people buy the blades for their trucks to plough the access roads they live down, where the municipal ploughs don’t go. They then would plough wherever they were driving to as well, just out of kindness 😊
Hi John and Jess. Lucky you guys over in Canada at this time of year. Merry Christmas to you both and stay safe. Now the reason for this message. FOOD, as we all know there is nothing worse when you have had a long day and are knackered, than having to cook and do the dishes (I mention this after seeing the disaster that went in the bin lol). I always carry with me when I go traveling a few freeze dried meals, they are a great thing to have for the long days, and even more so for extra early starts. Just add hot water and eat your meal out of the bag it comes in. No washing up and a good meal to start or end the day. They are also great for long drives when heading North. Yes I get that they cost around £5 per meal, but they are great. As an ex military chap I have used these a lot during my career. I also used them when trucking, my Daughter used them during her DofE awards expeditions. Now most adventure shops in the UK sell them as do good old Amazon. Im sure someone over there will point you in the righ direction when looking for them. So can I suggest you look for these and carry a few in the van for both ease of cooking and also for emergency situations. Oh and no they dont taste like crap lol. Look forward to the next vid, Happy New Year xx Link to show you what I mean. www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=freeze+dried+meals+long+life&i=sports&rh=n%3A318949011%2Cp_123%3A252250%257C432716%257C569701&dc&crid=237A6HPLF65NL&qid=1735391992&rnid=91049098031&sprefix=Freeze+dried+meals%2Caps%2C91&ref=sr_nr_p_123_3&ds=v1%3AknHD%2B2gBPbwV4xm%2FbcssCq0Mom0D%2BqGCh%2FVXaNObOa8 Lots to choose from, wayfayrer are the cheapest and infact some of the best. Great choice of meals and puddings. If you do find these please even if you only get a couple, they are well worth having in an emergency, also look at Hexi burners for boiling water and cooking while hiking. I have used these for a 14 day trip instead of trying to carry normal rations and Im alive lol. They are also long life and very light.
Thanks very much mate, yeah we were looking at these for like u say emergency but also when we finally do some bike adventures would be great to have too, like you say really easy 😊👍
You've only seen a very minute bit of Canada. Our snow clearing vehicles are legendary. Actually I was suprised that the pick up trucks were used to clear snow in Nova Scotia. If you have time, please take the road to Tuktoyuktuck in the North West Teritories ( it's a long trip but one that will never be forgotten ).
Oh the look on John's face when he had a little sip of rum Mmmmmmmmmmmm That was a great first Canadian post, thank you and Happy New Year. Take care ❄☃❤
Johns morning glory and beaver watching 😮looks like an amazing start to your journey some spectacular scenery have a great time and I’ll see you next Saturday Happy New Year
Lovely video guys, love the scenery such a beautiful place to be. Looking forward to seeing more videos in 2025, where more laughter will be shared. Just want to wish you both a very Happy New Year and see you next time😊😊
Great vlog as usual guys, best Christmas present was a full set of Chipperfield circus animals wagons, trucks, fencing, big top from cogi, 1960, I'm now 74,wish I still had it now worth a mint 😢😢,you have to keep your innuendos, in your storyline John it would not be the same without them 😂😂😂 have a great time there, and happy new year from foggy Kent, ❤
Jon at his innuendo best this week! Looks like you two have picked up that winter travel once again. Fun and safe travels! Can't wait for all the adventures.
What a joy to watch that. Thanks guys. I'll be here next week to celebrate 100K subscribers because if this episode doesn't do it for you I'll the questioning the RUclips Gods about it. Either way, stunning drone shots that should be earn you a Bafta TV award.
Best thing ever on a Ssturday morning, tea and toast in bed watching the latest "True Blue Travellers" vlog. Happy New Year and safe travels across 🇨🇦. You're so funny 😂 I could watch you two every day ❤ (GaryinSpain)
Thanks for all the great content, guys. Here's a few bob to buy more of those morning glory muffins. Honestly, your double-entendres are getting worse. I have something in common with Jon, I haven't been in a supermarket for years. And Jon, I think you've got a penchant for wearing jess's clothes😂
@ tbh, I’m almost glad of it, there’s nowt I fancy on Netflix or the other ones alike, camper upgrades and adventures with two people with awesome craic will more than suffice till I have to go back to work. Just spotted you did a fire truck, I mean, how on earth did RUclips not think I would want to see that!!! Anyway, I’m back, and have a lot to catch up on!!
Favourite, but saddest Christmas present was 1981 , tweed flat cap and silk scarf . The year of Brideshead Revisited. It was a favourite because I walked my first dog Honey , a golden retriever. Hoping to impress the girls - it didn’t, I just looked like a knob 😂 Thanks Jess and Jon for another amazing video journey ❤️💙
Fantastic video when jon was in the van saying there was only one thing to do with this snow. I honestly thought he was going run around naked. Haha, no play snowball fights 😂 morning glory muffins 😂😂😂😂 Jon you drink any more that rum there be no morning glory you struggle to raise a smile 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 best chrismas present i ever had was this video mery Christmas ❤❤
I got an offroader when I was about 11, it was some sort of custom home built job, similar wheel base to a mini, quad wheels/tires on the back and smaller front tires, a 400cc motorbike engine in the back, was brilliant, spent hours and hours driving that thing around the farm.
Brilliant video as always and simply stunning scenery!! Yst you finally bought the heated vest/jacket. John cannot do food and normal shopping but give him a home Depot or Lowe's and he will spend the whole day in them!! Merry Christmas to both of you too!! Thank you for all the laughs in the video and thanks for all of the words of support over the past year too as they have kept me going. Hope all is well, take care of yourselves. Also wishing both of you a happy and healthy 2025
Wow some stunning scenery 😍 The talk of seeing some Beaver and the morning glory muffin just tipped me over the edge 😂😂😂😂😂 Looking forward to seeing what you get up to next and thanks for all the excellent content over the last year, i hope you've both had a great Christmas and all the best for 2025 🍻👍🫶
Thanks for sharing your Christmas guys and I'm very happy you're enjoying yourselves 😂. To answer your question Jon, my birthday is halfway through December so I normally save my birthday gifts until Christmas. I remember when I was 8 my grandmother gave me a brown 🧸. I'm 45 and I still have it. It's more special to me now more than ever as she's gone now a little over a year. P.s. Jon, leave Jessica's muffin alone 😂. See you guys next week. Oh yeah, thanks for the longer video 😁
You guys rock enjoy Canada we did it in 2022 for 6 wks around Vancouver island BC and Alberta and Johnny boy keep the innuendo coming we love your banter 😂❤ oh and my best Xmas present was a bike my mum built for me as she could not afford to buy me one bringing 4 of us up alone
Happy Christmas, my best christmas prezzie was my spectrum 48k in 1982....oh yes, me and my dad spent so many hours playing on it, the joy, the pain and frustration of a game crashing and not being able to save anything but we loved it. Happy new year guys.🎉☃️🍻⛸😃

Thanks very much mate and can’t say it enough but thanks for all your help advice and company, been the best start to a trip ever 😊💙
Nice start of the new adventure ❤
It certainly was 😊💙
Love your videos and the humour. The rude bits are so refreshing and natural !!
So glad you enjoy them thanks 💙
When you haven’t gone to sleep yet (USA) and realize you’d better hit the hay because True Blue Travelers has already posted their video.
😂😂😂😂 looking forward to getting that way on soon 👍
Finally catching up after work, taking a second to say that Jon in the kilt (skirt) on the hills reminded me of a quaker oats advert 😂
😂😂😂 too funny
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you both. Meant to say on one of your other videos with regards to condensation etc, if you ever find yourselves in a bit of a bind, cheap tights and crystalized cat litter, works just as well as the pingi de-humidifier pads and can double as a draught excluder.
Thanks very much for the tip 👍👍👍
@@truebluetravellersany excuse to get tights😂😂😂
@ 😂😂😂 who me
What a lovely Sunday treat! Merry Christmas to you and thank you for showing the world how beautiful Nova Scotia is! And you’re just getting started. You’ll find Canadians across the country are just as nice as the maritimers you’ve met thus far. Happy New Year to you both!
Thanks very much mate 👍
Hope you enjoyed your Morning Glory Muffin Jon & it was Mmmmm😂😂 Merry Christmas to everyone & Happy New Year🥳🥳🍾🥂🍻
😂😂😂 thanks very much and for all the support this year too 💙💙💙
@@truebluetravellers Aw it's a pleasure watching you.
Sounds an absolute beauty 👌👌
We got a new Grandson on the 18th December a little boy named Jacob best Christmas present ever!
Aw congratulations 💕
Ah welcome to this crazy wonderful world Jacob 💙
Another great vid, nice one guys, keep the innuendos coming & stay safe 👍 👍 👍
Thanks mate, hope you have a good new years 👍
Seasons greetings J&J🎅🏻 🎄
💙💙💙💙
Yay, Happy Christmas to you both & Happy Birthday Jon. Brilliant adventures so far can’t wait for more. Those morning glory muffins although nice, big and moist, I’d imagine they’re time consuming to get through when you’ve a day of adventures to get on with…. Best saved for a lazy Sunday at home?!? 🤣☺️😜
You have yourselves a great week, Happy New year 🎉xxxx
😂😂😂😂😂 lucky speed I have in my favour
@@truebluetravellers😂😂😂 Jess, you lucky girl 😂😂😂 Don’t come a knocking if the Sainsbury’s vans a rocking! Give it 5 😉

@ no worries. Im glad how humble u are i always thank the peeps that give me donations on my streams no matter how small every bit helps. Enjoy. Im onto 1 million tonnes of water 🤣🤣😎😎😎
Great to see the latest edition of the Sainsbury’s van adventures. Watching this morning from our self build camper in the very foggy Malverns. 😀🚐
Hope your enjoying it guys 😊👍
Solidarity with John also fan of bungees and Milwaukee tools (much to Mrs C’s amusement and despair) 😂
Barry island rum from England? Oh dear.
😂😂😂😂 it’s from wales, sent to us in England and shipped to Canada, it’s well traveled 😂
Looks like you pair are having a blast in Canada it looks amazing.
Keep the videos coming please you two make our Saturday.
Happy Christmas and a happy new year
Thanks so much we are loving it so far 💙
Glad you’re on your way! With regard to pick up trucks with snow plough blades - having lived in Alaska, many people buy the blades for their trucks to plough the access roads they live down, where the municipal ploughs don’t go. They then would plough wherever they were driving to as well, just out of kindness 😊
How lovely is that! We found a lot of the back roads ploughed too really quickly after the snow, just kind people 💙💙
Hi John and Jess.
What a legend Grant is! Good on you, chap!
He is just the sweetest man!! And so knowledgeable we are so grateful to have met him 💙
Great video thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you both,. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Keep safe 🎅🎄👍
Thank you! You too! So glad you enjoyed it 💙
Looks amazing already. Canadians are sooo darn friendly. Merry Christmas guys 🎅x
Soooo friendly we’ve had such a warm welcome it’s been so lovely 💙
Mmm mmm............. 😂 Great start to the trip guys 👍👍👍, safe travels ❤
😂😂😂 thanks so much 💙
You've only seen a very minute bit of Canada. Our snow clearing vehicles are legendary. Actually I was suprised that the pick up trucks were used to clear snow in Nova Scotia. If you have time, please take the road to Tuktoyuktuck in the North West Teritories ( it's a long trip but one that will never be forgotten ).
Absolutely, we are interested to see what changes in the different provinces and territories. We are planning on doing the Dempster can’t wait 💙💙
thx for these beatifull views and the fun that both of you are giving us especially with that muffing
😂😂 thanks mate 👍👍
Oh the look on John's face when he had a little sip of rum Mmmmmmmmmmmm That was a great first Canadian post, thank you and Happy New Year. Take care ❄☃❤
😂😂😂😂 thanks very much, it certainly gave me a kick 💙

😂😂😂 thanks very much
Never change John, sorry Jess. Love you both happy Christmas and health and happiness for 2025 x
😂😂😂😂 I’ll do my best, thanks very much 😊💙
Great vlog as usual guys, best Christmas present was a full set of Chipperfield circus animals wagons, trucks, fencing, big top from cogi, 1960, I'm now 74,wish I still had it now worth a mint 😢😢,you have to keep your innuendos, in your storyline John it would not be the same without them 😂😂😂 have a great time there, and happy new year from foggy Kent, ❤
Bet there’s a few stashed away in some attics too 👍
Merry Christmas from this Canadian Elder in northern Ontario, who just found you.
Thanks very much 😊
I've been looking forward to this all week, you two never disappoint - absolutely brilliant. #morningglory 😉

Loving the new adventure, Can't wait to see what you get up. My favorite Gift was the Action Man Tank and Flat bed Truck
Thanks mate, we are having a brilliant time. I loved action man too 👍

What a joy to watch that. Thanks guys. I'll be here next week to celebrate 100K subscribers because if this episode doesn't do it for you I'll the questioning the RUclips Gods about it. Either way, stunning drone shots that should be earn you a Bafta TV award.

😂😂 thanks Gary, I hope your enjoying the sunshine mate 👍
Thanks for all the great content, guys. Here's a few bob to buy more of those morning glory muffins. Honestly, your double-entendres are getting worse. I have something in common with Jon, I haven't been in a supermarket for years. And
Jon, I think you've got a penchant for wearing jess's clothes😂
😂😂😂 he really does 😂😂 thanks ever so much for this mate, we are so grateful for your support and generosity. You are so kind 💙
For some reason your videos dropped off my feed, can’t believe how much I have missed, glad to be back 😎
That’s so strange, a few people had said that. We’ve been posting every Saturday 💙 glad you found us again
😂😂😂😂pmsl, I have similar experience of this too
Fantastic video when jon was in the van saying there was only one thing to do with this snow.
😂😂😂😂😂 that was my first idea but Jess said no 🤷♂️😂💙
I got an offroader when I was about 11, it was some sort of custom home built job, similar wheel base to a mini, quad wheels/tires on the back and smaller front tires, a 400cc motorbike engine in the back, was brilliant, spent hours and hours driving that thing around the farm.
The best present ever that, and u had the land to enjoy it on too 👌
Wicked sense of humor, love it 😅😂
😂😂 thanks mate 👍
Soo funny guys. Looking forward to rest if vid’s. Enjoy & Merey Christmas 👍🏻❤️
Thanks very much mate, hope u had a good one 👍
Brilliant video as always and simply stunning scenery!! Yst you finally bought the heated vest/jacket. John cannot do food and normal shopping but give him a home Depot or Lowe's and he will spend the whole day in them!! Merry Christmas to both of you too!! Thank you for all the laughs in the video and thanks for all of the words of support over the past year too as they have kept me going. Hope all is well, take care of yourselves. Also wishing both of you a happy and healthy 2025

😂😂😂😂 thanks so much mate, we did thank you hope you did too 💙
Thanks for sharing your Christmas guys and I'm very happy you're enjoying yourselves 😂.
My birthday was yesterday… my mother’s was Christmas Day !
😂😂😂 it’s off limits anyway 🤷♂️, ah that’s so sweet, that’s some dedication that too to save them 💙
You guys rock enjoy Canada we did it in 2022 for 6 wks around Vancouver island BC and Alberta and Johnny boy keep the innuendo coming we love your banter 😂❤ oh and my best Xmas present was a bike my mum built for me as she could not afford to buy me one bringing 4 of us up alone
Your mum sounds like a legend mate 👍👍👍
Happy Christmas, my best christmas prezzie was my spectrum 48k in 1982....oh yes, me and my dad spent so many hours playing on it, the joy, the pain and frustration of a game crashing and not being able to save anything but we loved it. Happy new year guys.🎉☃️🍻⛸😃
😂😂😂😂 I can’t remember them ones, the first one I remember is the Amiga
