Be careful with the dog when seals are about.Totally agree on price £17 is a RIP off..By the Way site was a car park that these locals took it upon themselves to take over and charge money..Why council allowed this was disgusting.
How on Earth did you manage to follow the 'Aberdeenshire Coastal Trail' and miss out the whole of the Moray Firth coast between Fraserburgh and Lossiemouth? You missed Pennan (set of the BFI's 'top 100 20th Century films' classic Local Hero), fishing towns Gardenstown, Banff and Macduff (as in 'Lead On MacDuff'), Whitehills, Portsoy (location of the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival every summer, and whose beautiful harbour was star of the very last episodes of Peaky Blinders), Sandend (and the most beautiful 'secret' beach in Scotland - Sunnyside), Cullen (origin of the famous 'Cullen Skink' soup), Portknockie, Buckie, Spey Bay (incredible mouth of the famous salmon river, and home to Ospreys), Fochabers (and the Baxters factory) and Elgin - home to a gorgeous ruined Cathedral and a proper 'old Scots' town. All the best bits, in other words! PS Findhorn is ridiculously expensive as it's a 'hippie trap', always has been since a 'commune' was set up there in the 60s-70s, catering to upper middle class and toffs who think of themselves as bohemian when not working in media in London, and who like to fly up to 'slum it' in yurts and cabins with hot and cold running yoga and overpriced veggie food. The kind of place Edi and Patsy from Ab Fab would go for some 'back to nature me time'. PPS The Moray Coast (as described above), is where you will see seals, ocras, porpoises and dolphins pretty much every day. Stay away from the touristy rubbish, the real NE coast is a treasure worth discovering.
Because many people just bimble along and never bother with planning in any detail. Your comments ref Findhorn former caravan park...now Eco village...are very accurate.
Lol, to the "hot and cold running yoga" - so true! Strangely, though, I do like a wander through the Findhorn community and looking at all the eco-homes that have probably passed under the radar of the Planners! The walk from Findhorn to Burghead (or even Roseisle and back) is always a favourite with options to be on the beach or in the forest depending on the weather. I was expecting the "factory" to be Baxters rather than the Walkers outlet shop, although I'm not sure how much tourist access there is to Baxters these days, and haven't been in since the restaurant closed.
@rb9580 I doubt the planners are unaware, as the Head of the department is married to one of my friends, who is also a planner, and they live in Forres. My friend and I used to drink at the Crown and Anchor in Findhorn and most of the locals go to the Foundation, because of events at the Universal Hall. There was also local opposition to the new eco village development, which gained permission, from the Moray planning commitee, to proceed in 2019.

Merry Christmas and happy new year 🥳🥳 Have you guys thought of looking into buying a silent generator to recharge your battery’s ? They can be expensive to buy but you can pick up some bargains but cheaper in the long run than running the lorry plus you should never let the lorry idle for ages as it will clog up the DPF quicker. Just a thought, safe travels guys and gals.
The best black pudding is McCloud of Stornaway , black pudding is traditionally made from pigs blood , but with all the eu rules and regs most blood comes dried in powder form from Spain , there are some good ones and there are some rubbish ones , but McCloud is the crème de la crème 😊

Hi guys, great vlog, our motorhome was as filthy as your truck after we did the NC500 in November, we have the same trouble as you with where to clean it, jet washes a garages don't fit all the way round. That Aire looked great but I agree too pricey, we stopped at some stunning harbour spots offering the same facilities on the west coast of the highlands and they only charged £5. It's a shame when they set up Aires for campers but charge too much and they end up underused as a result. Happy New Year to you all, hopefully see you in a field somewhere in 2025! xx
Hi guys, hope you are well. I'm definitely sure we'll see you on a field somewhere in 2025 🙌. Thanks for watching, it's a real shame with that aire because it is so lovely and right next to the beach, just think the price will be putting lots of people off. xxx
Just found your channel and what a surprise to see New Pitsligo where we used to live. Such memories you are bringing back, thank you nd a Happy New Year to you all.
Hi, arround 9 minutes you talked about sailing dinghies :-) immediately had to smile, I learned “sailing” in a “piraatje” which to me, back in 1976…(ai) was a real sailing yacht. It had a sharp bow instead of the stomped nose “Optimist” the opponent of the Piraatje (pirate in English. Thinking back it was as exciting as sailing across the Atlantic, perhaps even more :-)) I saw the smile on your face talking about it, hopefully your, or one, of your children catch your dream as well!! Best regards and thanks for the nice video, Albert
Another great vlog. I can't believe you don't have a telescopic wash brush. You could easily reach all of your truck. Can be connected to a hose or just dipped in a bucket. I think B&M probably sell them but definitely on Amazon.

BTW. It's AberLOUR - rhymes with hour, and FIN dhorn- rhymes with tin. Sorry but washing your vehicle at the water point is a bit rude. The next person then has to walk in the water you've left. It is a MOTORHOME park up not a lorry park so complaining about the length of the pitches because you have a lorry is cheeky. It costs me the same as you for a campervan that takes less than HALF the space you do.Many Aires charge £5 or more just to fill up and use black and grey dumps so you're paying £12 for your pitch. Yes, you are supposed to take the plastic off the black pudding!
Buy a extendable caravan brush or get the diamond Brite coating done it coats the vehicle and is rain repellent also makes it easier when you wash the truck. Have a great new year.
It’s NOT cruel, it’s not good for dogs to eat our food, both for their health and behaviour wise… Rosie was very well-behaved, she didn’t try snatching the food, and I’m sure she had a treat later on… Dog ownership, is about doing the best for the dog not for the video. Xxx ❤
Oh guys, brilliant. I used the deliver beds to the shop up there regularly and always parked in shore road round the west side before the RAF base. Lovely place too.
Hi, I hope you had a Happy Christmas. When Rick was talking about sailing and where to get started, I am not sure if you watch Sailing Zatara. Fantastic RUclips watch. First vid of yours I've seen... And you're literally less than a couple of miles away from me on this vlog! Findhorn is lovely. Glad you enjoyed our wee corner of the UK. Lovely family; humans and furries! :)
Another fact about Tunnocks tea cakes. Every year in Tobermory they have a tea cake eating competition the night before the Mull rally. And they have sponsored Mull Rally on and off for many years. Irn Bru advert used to state the drink was made from Girders. There’s also sugar free Irn Bru which is a bit healthier Love the video.
@ I’ve never done the eating competition but I’ve marshalled on Mull rally 4 times. I want to go back up next year. It’s on in October over 3 days on closed roads. It’s one of the best rallies anywhere in the world. Thousands of people turn up to watch the rally as well as compete and help run the event. Have a look on RUclips. You’ll be impressed.
Great video guys, You could do with a small petrol pressure washer, with a outlet that will pump up water from a bucket if your not able to use hose pipe on to machine. Look like your all having fun, Take care safe travels,
most services have a drive through truck wash which is manned and done by hand. Strensham does for sure. Next time you're passing motorway services go out through the truck parking and they're usually between the truck parking and the fuel station. Hope this helps!
Suggestion: could your front seats be swivelled for when you are eating in the cab? Though that might be difficult to retro fit like the windows. It would make it a bit better with a pull out table for eating on the road.
Irun Bru is nothing like it used to be. My Granny concocted the recipe for my Grandad who was an Aeriated Water Manufacturer. Iron Brew is the TRUE drink & is still manufactured in Aberdeen. & is my Gran's true recipe. Barr does not have the original Recipe.
Lossiemouth-lived and worked there for four and a half years. Lovely part of the world. You’ve probably left now but there’s a lovely spot called Findhorn bay that’s worth a visit too. Nice vlog 👍🏼 Just watched the rest, you made it to Findhorn 😂
Great video...sad about greedy Findhorn though. There's an old Morayshire saying...''ye canna git the breeks aff a bare erse''...and that may be the reason that at £17 a night...it's empty.
Stornaway black pudding, there are two. McLeod and McLeod and Mac Donald and Mac Donald, both are superb, sorry if I have spelled the names wrong but you will get what I mean.
Love seeing yous try tunnocks and irn bru 😆 in Ireland we get these as normal same with “Club” drinks English don’t get them I usually bring the lads where I get my trailer washed out a case when I’m in England it’s the same as Fanta but small bits in them it’s amazing Club orange/lemon
If you are serious about sailing you need to sign up for an RYA sailing course. The kids could do the competent crew , learning parts of the boat , knots , mooring , steering , raising sails , learning ropes, You could do your day skipper . You need to pass the theory first which covers navigation and voyage planning . It is one day a week for a few weeks . Then you do your practical which is 5 days at sea putting into practice your theory and sailing the boat , RUclips RYA topics show the conent. It can be costly . I went to Scotsail at Largs .
Oh sorry, just to add one more thing in regards of Beluga lagoon. They are not just music band, there is also a media company tied in and they have at least three short films which are superb, the kids will love them, they are called , coast, winter and don the forth if I remember correctly. Films with everything in them and so entertaining. Super funny. Enjoy.
Evening Guys, As always a great vlog 👍. Black pudding mmmm 😊. We have a battery powered jet wash by worx for the van it can draw water from anywhere within reason, just a thought. Next time you are passing Greater Manchester stop at the world-famous Bury Market and get some traditional Bury Black Pudding. And try Wigan for a proper Pie.
I have been using Aero Cosmetic’s Wash Wax All waterless car wash to keep our motorhome clean. Quick and no mess. I would imagine some waterless wash product could be a solution for keeping your lorry clean in between deep clean washes.
Irn bru made from girders so the advert used to say. Im scottish and must say never touch the stuff its far to sweet. Tunnocks tea cakes on the other hand i love. Enjoyed your video.Hope you and family enjoy your time in Scotland.

Idling that engine will block the dpf in no time, see if you can rase the revs by pressing the cruise control + or resume, failing that it would be cheaper to run a small inverter generator and charge them through the hookup plug

Wow, what an amazing video guy’s. There’s just so much to comment on but I’ve forgotten 😂
Next time I’ll take notes 🤔
Anyway, for now I’ll just say the usual. I envy your whole family and 💝 you all. Philip in Ireland 🇮🇪👍
Hehe some people type the comment and then edit it to add more bits as they watch more of the video.
But thankyou as always for Watching 😊
Glad ur enjoying time in Bonnie Scotland there are so many lovely places to visit impossible to do them all in one visit so you will need to come back you have a lovely family hope you have a wonderfull christmas at Loch Ness enjoyed ur videos look forward to next one at Loch Ness... take care stay safe....🏴🏴🏴🫶🫶🫶
Thankyou so much, the Loch Ness one went live today 🏴 Enjoy!!
Happy New Year to you all ❤ xxx
And to you too 🎉🥳🍾
Ah Lossiemout so much changed since I was there with my family back in 1977 to 1986
Used to deliver the butter to walkers Aberlour, usually a good handy tip…28t of palletised Butter from Northern Ireland
Wish I had parents like you !! Love the adventures !!!
That’s sweet, thankyou
You are making lovely memories for your children. In years to come they will talk about holidays and travels around the christmas dinner.
Hopefully so 🙌☺️
I use the rain to wash my van - let the rain wet it for an hour, scrub it with a soft bristle broom then let the rain rinse it off.
Great vlog. Looked wild, windy and wonderful 👌💙❤️
Happy new year to you all keep safe thank you for sharing your experiences with us
You’re very welcome. Happy new year to you too 🎉
That poor dog all eating no treat for the pooch cruel
It’s NOT cruel, it’s not good for dogs to eat our food, both for their health and behaviour wise… Rosie was very well-behaved, she didn’t try snatching the food, and I’m sure she had a treat later on… Dog ownership, is about doing the best for the dog not for the video. Xxx ❤
Oh guys, brilliant. I used the deliver beds to the shop up there regularly and always parked in shore road round the west side before the RAF base. Lovely place too.
Hi where do you find the aires? Many Thanks 🙏 👍👍
We look on the apps, the ones we use are searchforsites, park4night and campercontact 👍
@@Touringwiththekids thanks for getting back to me. What’s the length amd width of the box on your lorry. Thanks 🙏
Seen the rainbow 🌈
over the Ocean, how beautiful, hope you had a lovely Christmas 🎄 guys see you soon 😊
It was so beautiful to see, a little special moment with the seal there too 🦭
We stay within 5 mins of Tunnock factory and the have a lovely factory shop on Uddingston main st
Oohh lovely, that’s good to know 😋
Freeze your Tunnocks they’re fab.
Black pudding is so good for you man! BTW your square sausage is lorn not loin.
Enjoy your fab trip👍
*lorne* sausage
Most of them are more like For Lorne sausage 😊
@charlestaylor8566 are you trying to say 'forlorn'? They don't look sad to me!😅
Never too cold for icecream!
Yay 🙌🏻 my favourite family, hope your all good, including Rosie xx 🤗
Aww thankyou.. we are all doing well ❤️
Hi, I hope you had a Happy Christmas. When Rick was talking about sailing and where to get started, I am not sure if you watch Sailing Zatara. Fantastic RUclips watch. Their channel will really pull you in. Have a great New Year 😊Howard x Oh by the way, we spent Christmas in Keswick and hiked Catbells last Friday. It was packed 😅 but really nice x
We absolutely watch sailing Zatara! They are brilliant 🤩 sounds like a great Christmas, where did you stay in Keswick? We did Catbells a few years ago when the kids were smaller, it was a very busy hike!
We stayed in an apartment at Derwentwater Hotel. Bit rough around the edges but it did the trick 😊 @@Touringwiththekids
First vid of yours I've seen... And you're literally less than a couple of miles away from me on this vlog! Findhorn is lovely. Glad you enjoyed our wee corner of the UK. Lovely family; humans and furries! :)
Ohhh nice, glad you found us! Findhorn was a beautiful place to visit ❤️
I love watching your videos!!! Glad you liked Lossiemouth and Findhorn. I wish I had bumped into you, because I am up here too!!!
Thankyou, they were both really great places. Highlight was definitely the seals
Love all your matching outdoor wear, but googled it, phew it’s expensive! Fantastic kids, love them xx
They're Didriksons - doing a great job of keeping us all warm 🥰
Another fact about Tunnocks tea cakes. Every year in Tobermory they have a tea cake eating competition the night before the Mull rally. And they have sponsored Mull Rally on and off for many years.
Irn Bru advert used to state the drink was made from Girders. There’s also sugar free Irn Bru which is a bit healthier
Love the video.
Thanks for sharing the facts! The tea cake competition sounds like good fun 🤣😃
Can I please ask you what Wi-Fi network do you use and which routing do you use thank you thank you
Hi, we have a Tesco plan with unlimited WiFi on our phones 📞
up around scotland there truck washes where they do it with big brushes and hose pipes
Thanks, it’s clean enough for now, but will bare that in mind ☺️
Great vlog really nice to see off the beaten track
Have a great New year 50k on its way
Happy new year to you too 🎉🥳
That wasn't off the beaten track, but it missed out all the interesting places that are!
Thanks for that Nessa, really helpful!!!! Hope you are well x
Suggestion: could your front seats be swivelled for when you are eating in the cab?
Though that might be difficult to retro fit like the windows.
It would make it a bit better with a pull out table for eating on the road.
Enjoyed this video, and looking forward to Inverness as my auntie lives there ,I last visited when I was 23 but never got to see nessie
Nice vlog 👍🏼
Just watched the rest, you made it to Findhorn 😂
We did make it to Findhorn 🙌 beautiful little place xx
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you guys. Why don't you get a little petrol generator to charge your batteries?
Great video...sad about greedy Findhorn though. There's an old Morayshire saying...''ye canna git the breeks aff a bare erse''...and that may be the reason that at £17 a night...it's empty.
Yes, perhaps. Although we have been told its full during the summer months...
Stornaway black pudding, there are two. McLeod and McLeod and Mac Donald and Mac Donald, both are superb, sorry if I have spelled the names wrong but you will get what I mean.
How about visiting South Africa? Your travelling around is marvelous and we learn a lot at an old age. Thanks guys
You're welcome ☺️
Happy new year to you all 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thankyou and you too xx
Love seeing yous try tunnocks and irn bru 😆 in Ireland we get these as normal same with “Club” drinks English don’t get them I usually bring the lads where I get my trailer washed out a case when I’m in England it’s the same as Fanta but small bits in them it’s amazing Club orange/lemon
There's never an s at the end of you. Never!
I use a bucket like you've got with water and detergent and a soft broom to wash my van. Very quick and reach all areas.
It was nice meeting you today, hope you found a dry spot for the night. Keep up the great work with your kids.
Thanks, you too! You were right, those roads were a bit tight 🙈
Enjoy.
Try stornoway black pudding it's the best❤
Everyone is saying that!
Evening Guys,
As always a great vlog 👍.
Black pudding mmmm 😊.
We have a battery powered jet wash by worx for the van it can draw water from anywhere within reason, just a thought.
Loving the trip with you all.
Take care and travel safe 🙏.
Paul and Joanne 👍 ❤️
Have a great New year ✨️ 🎉, looking forward to 2025 🥂😍
Great tip! Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it 😃😄❤️
Well glad you were not kept awake in Lossie with the RAF Base I lived in that area for two years
Lossiemouth was a great little place to explore. And awesome they welcome motorhomes 👍
Hey Peeps - hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! New PItsligo is around 17 miles from where I live... Had to do a double take @0:49 - the names of those pickled onions!!!!! Learn something new every day eh.... Hope you all have a safe and healthy New Year and for the coming 2025! 😃
Happy New Year to you too 🎉
The irn bru you need to try is the 1901 it's the original one
Next time you are passing Greater Manchester stop at the world-famous Bury Market and get some traditional Bury Black Pudding. And try Wigan for a proper Pie.
I have been using Aero Cosmetic’s Wash Wax All waterless car wash to keep our motorhome clean. Quick and no mess. I would imagine some waterless wash product could be a solution for keeping your lorry clean in between deep clean washes.
DID THEY FEED THE DOG!!!
I would love to see your wheels painted or even chromed
My Norwegian father always put sugar on his black pudding ~ it’s delicious! 😋
Really ?
I wonder now if Vegemite and Black Pudding might go together?
That is an interesting combo!
Merry Christmas 🤶
Same to you! and happy new year!
Irn bru made from girders so the advert used to say. Im scottish and must say never touch the stuff its far to sweet. Tunnocks tea cakes on the other hand i love. Enjoyed your video.Hope you and family enjoy your time in Scotland.
Thankyou so much x
Oh how wonderful up on that coast , follow that coast along to portknockie and get the best fish n chips ever.enjoy the snow that’s coming 🎉
Thankyou thankyou, uyour videos are enthralling. ❤
Thanks Valerie
When I was at RAF Kinloss we called those pies " babies head pies"! Don't ask! Thanks for doing what you do.
Haha brilliant
Another great video , I have to ask 😂 what coat you wearing 👌
Our coats are from Didriksons 👍
@Touringwiththekids nice one safe travels 👍
To clean the lorry, have you thought of finding a 'long reach' window cleaner at one of your stops? They carry the water in their vans.
Great idea, never thought about that 👍
In Norway, the best selling soda without suger is Pepsi Max. But Soda with suger, there is Coca Cola best selling.
To get a proper black pudding you need to go to Bolton in Manchester xx
Like the content, been watching "Those happy Days" for 3 years but it's gotten DRY.. Your more engaging.
If you ever see a white and blue high top VW T25 called Maisie , give be a hoot :)
Will do, make sure you give us a hoot too!
Well done 😊
You guys missed out on a tattie scone with your Scottish breakfast - you should try a bacon, tattie scone, egg and black pudding roll! I'm sure you'll love it!
I knew there was something missing 🤣
@@Touringwiththekids - Make sure and get your selves a breakfast roll. Tattie scone, bacon, egg and black pudding - - you just cant beat it ! I live in Arbroath... you also should try the Arbroath Smokie !!
“Never too cold for ice cream”. Sounds like that’s your next tshirt design ! 😅
Now you're on to something 🙌
Idling that engine will block the dpf in no time, see if you can rase the revs by pressing the cruise control + or resume, failing that it would be cheaper to run a small inverter generator and charge them through the hookup plug
We don’t tend to have to idle it too often, so should be okay 👍
Looks fabulous…great adventures….
Don’t you just want one of those squeegee flash floor mops to do the vehicle sides with …? disposable sponges so you’re not storing wet mops … just an idea…🤔
What is Scotland beautifull. It moved up on my Bucketlist. Have a great week .
Agree 👍
