    In the 90s as an active duty PSYOP soldier, we used to run missions on SF guys going through the Q course or training missions back at camp Rowe and Ft. Bragg. We did everything from sleep deprivation to calling out individual soldiers with personal and private information over loudspeakers. The SF guys hated us.

    Awesome episode as usual.
    How to fix the sound problem:
    -Dress the windows with plenty of fabric to soften the hard surface of the glass.
    -Lay plenty of rugs on wood or tile floors.
    -Avoid framed artwork, as the glass from the frame adds another surface to bounce sound off.
    -Add acoustic foam or sound-proofing insulation to the walls or fix sound-proofing tiles

    Good show and dead on. I was in CA mid 90's then went back in a few years into the GWOT. Not only did the Army not know what the CA mission is but after they expanded it CA did not know what they were supposed to do .

    Great stories from the unsung brothers and sisters. I was deployed to TQ and never new half of this stuff was going on. Great interviews.
    We had the lioness program. My unit was tasked with essentially owning MS1 through FJ and Ramadi and back to TQ. EOD, Combat Engineers, MP's all patrolled that route and main routes, this was '06. Mixed in were females. Males searched males and females searched females if we stopped and dismounted patrol (provided own security and logistics). We were not special operations or anything high speed, but we are out building airfields and hasty fobs. Dealing with local nationals you need a female.

      Towards the end of the deployment, my FA battery was moved to Camp Slayer. What a horrible name for pshyop purposes. Just before Christmas was a bombing in a dining room hall on a compound. I remember spending Christmas Day searching the Presidential Palace in 2004 & what they called Flintstone Palace just beside it. Not open to the public being on a Camp, but an interesting place.

      I also spent a couple nights just across Route Irish on Camp Victory guarding a VIP on an island in the middle of a moat from a tower on the edge. With my 117 GT score I can almost only ascertain that I was guarding Sadam Husein at Camp Victory at the time.

    Endurance is the issue with females. They physically can't perform at the same level as men for the same period of time. Physically they deteriorate quickly on extended deployments and start to lag.

    • @ViceRoze
      @ViceRoze 3 месяца назад

      1. It was not necessarily occupation. Alot of the countries people say we "occupied" actually asked us to come ans help them fix their country.
      2. Most deployed U.S. Troops never harmed any civilians. Im talking the vast majority. The US isn't the big monster everyone says it is. Im not saying we're perfect but we are not all that.

      It depends on what he means by “level”. They have a totally different mission so can’t be compared in a 1:1 manner.

    • @lokami2a807
      @lokami2a807 4 года назад +5

      @@justaguy4real it depends if they are reserve or not. Active Civil Affairs and Psyops are still under USASOC and do a lot of the same training in the pipeline the difference is their focus obviously the green berets are much more focused on being a fighting force while CA and Psyops is more of a strategic complement who have fighting capabilities but they are not trained or equipped to the level of the GB, devgru or rangers. The reserve components are under the reserve command they go through far less training Active components have long pipelines 40-50 weeks and a selection process similar to GB and at the same location for most. The reserves only have a 10 week and then separate officer training courses CA has a faster path to officer than psyops but both are AIT for the most part. Like other special forces the active CA and psyop will branch off into further training when they finish the pipeline the reserve will go onto drill.

    Yes this is a bash, trolling, whatever you wanna call it. These guys with these shows trying to ride the coattails of real and true operators that wouldnt themselves do these lame shows, simply bc these shows are lame. Guys that were most likely and basically at the bottom of their respective units, as if it were measured like graduate school of students in the top/bottom half, top/bottom 10%, these guys doing these shows are not the top tier honor grads as they pretend to be, but sure, they're just able to make the claims without lying they were SEALS, SF, Rangers, Force Recon, and whatever else. Playing with and stroking each others egos relying on the accomplishments and reputations and badassness of the real Shooters and Operators that actually cant identify themselves past, present, or future with stories that can never be told. Whats the point of even doing these 'shows'? For notoriety and ego trying to boast and brag without likely hopefully being thought of as boasting and bragging. As a tier 1 this shit annoys me. This shit is basically like "Hey, me, look at me, I can do or did this stuff. I'm fucking cool" I bet most of them wear their 'highspeed' watches face down to be noticed, wear some 5.11 and all that shit; anything that stands out or screams "I'm an elite operator"

    • @dave_parke
      @dave_parke 4 года назад +25

      A) You weren’t Tier anything.
      B) You’ve obviously confused our show with somebody else’s.
      C) Our guests were CA and PsyOps. They didn’t claim to be Operators.
      D) If you don’t know the point of our show then you don’t watch it. We interview interesting people and record their personal histories.
      E) I don’t wear a watch.
