The winter has been long, neigh unbearably harsh. But with every morning I had the unshakable feeling that it was getting slightly… warmer. Then one day I saw it. A single strand of brilliant green grass. It’s been decades since I’ve seen vegetation I almost forgot what it looked like. The nights are long, the creatures grow stranger every year, but with one undeniable act Mother Nature makes herself known. Spring is coming and bringing with it new horrors beyond imagination.
"Do you think one day, we could go back up to the surface? I've never seen Moscow, just the old pictures..." "Moscow's gone. Soon, we'll be gone, too. And the monsters will inherit the Earth." "But there were other subways, in Saint Petersburg, Minsk..." "People might have survived somewhere else, at least for a while. But so many years have passed now, and we've heard nothing from them. The other cities didn't have defense rings like Moscow did. What a great city it was, Saint Petersburg... the Cathedral and the Admiralty with it's spire. I remember summer nights where there were crowds of kids with ice cream and beautiful slender girls, music and air sweet enough to drink... what a beautiful world we've destroyed..."
