Great review, the pedal really should have an exp. pedal input, so you have that added flexibility and can position the pedal further away from the unit
Hello Pedal Guy! I found you searching for NUX MG-30 videos. Thank you for sharing so much incredible information. The NUX MG-30 Harmonist seems to be based on Ricochet. Do you know if there are any demos of it being used?
Hi. Thanks for watching. It's not exactly a Ricochet. That's a bit different. I've goofed around with the harmonizer, so I might do a vid on it to help y'all out.
@@ThePedalGuy Thanks for the quick reply. I think a lot of us would love to see a Boss OC-5 or TC Sub 'n Up, as well as some more glitchy silicone fuzzes.
I have bought it for mainly octave down purposes. And it realy great for that - it is really quick and fast in note catching - so i play bass parts easily in band. But i want it to compare with the new Boss OC-5. All other stuff are just extra features)
Hi. Thanks for the question. The Ricochet offers Seven pitch selections: 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, Octave, Double Octave, and Octave+Dry, as well as a toggle to select up or down for the selected pitch.
Douglas Roberto da Costa the Whammy V hands down is a better choice if you’re looking for versatility. We have and open box special on the Whammy this week on ThePedalGuy site.
I just brought my Whammy DT into my music store, walked out with the Ricochet. Ain’t more versatile if Whammy DT is at home bc it’s too large to fit on my board.
GuyFrom ThatThing can you drop down or up pitch shifting by a semitones, or only whammy DT does it, please can you advise me as I'm looking for pitch shifter with semitones, I quite like the Ricochet its small and compact but it does not do the semi tones.
Just bought one of these to use on Blue Orchid. 👍🎸👍
Cool
thank you so much for this. I've watch a number of videos on this pedal. but the only one who fully explained this pedal
Thank you very much Chris!
Brilliant review, going to get one now as its cheaper than getter a luthier to fit tremolo systems to my guitars
cool!

The whole point of the Ricochet is that you don’t need an expression pedal…
@@Floppa-oz1kp an expression pedal would make it easier to use

This pedal would be a complete waste of money spent for me! Great review!
Kevin Bradford you’d be surprised. It becomes addictive pretty quick.

Thank you for the presentation of the Ricochet. You were in Classic mode (classic 12-bit Whammy algorithm) through the entire video, right?
Thanks. I believe I was in classic but it’s been such a long time since I shot that video that I couldn’t tell you for sure
Did you use the overdrive pedal before or after the Ricochet? Very informative review, thank you so much!
Nam Giang thanks for the question. It was a long time ago so I’m not 100% sure but I think it was pre overdrive
Hi, thank you for the explanation, I wonder if it does the pitch shifting down or up by a semitones ?

I'm completely undecided between Ricochet and Whammy V. Which of the two is more versatile?

Can you use it to transpose to any key. And how well does it track the chords when you do that?
Thank you for your questions. It transposes by intervals so in theory it could accomplish what you’re looking to do.
love the EVH kicks :P
Well, you’ve done a really great job of keeping my money in my pocket
What a lost oportunity. No EXP IN and no Wet/Dry mix.
The EHX Pitch Fork in the same format is a winner.
Pitchfork has more latency
Also, you can't adjust the speed of the shift in a pitchfork without an expression pedal
