Bravo ! ! !
It's amazing how many of these native drummers are on You Tube. Equally amazing is the fact that they all sound virtually the same. I can only figure that it takes very little talent to do that.
HOLY SHEITE!!!!!!!! That guy makes it look effortless, i mean at times hes barley even hitting the drum and its screaming, and hes getting the "3rd slap" as well. How on earth do i get such distinctive tones out of my drum like this????
Wow this guy is an awesome player. However I was just wondering.. is he following the drum rhythm or is he playing his own thing? Because no matter how hard I try, I can not link the two patterns together..
Definitely following the rhythm in an extremely accurate way. It is in 6/8 time and the dundun part is not simple. Then bassidi is playing a lot of different complex rhythmic ideas all over it. Although this can make it hard to follow it also makes it really interesting.

Dammit, i knew someone would say that! i was hoping for a magic pill or gizmo that could do it for me.....time to practice...
A good drum, tuned high, and good technique is a huge part.
Your hands need training by years and years of playing and study, there is no magic trick here. Good luck!
Hello, will you teach me how to play?
