It's amazing how many of these native drummers are on You Tube. Equally amazing is the fact that they all sound virtually the same. I can only figure that it takes very little talent to do that.

Actually you’re right for this last comment. But I think you are staying in the rest rooms because: - it’s a fact you are not playing drums - Kawa is a mask and it is dedicated to a dancer who have very specials way of moving and the solo drummer would be hurt by him if “sentences” are not very well played. By the way, there is not the melodic instruments here as bala, sings and crowd enthousiam. It’s just a demo, speed is not the real one too. - everyone who played west Africans drums would recognize many master drummers when they are listening a piece of drums as I mean a batteries drummer would make difference between Christian Vander and John Bohamn or Keith Moon. Sorry for the old references but all of them play the same things and it’s not really the same. - And for the end polyrhythmics do not talk to a lot of people such as rap , poppee musics or rock poom tchak because you need to concentrate and listen to what is happening. Please try to take time to listen to others pieces which are not educative one.
