    Another problem we've run into in the past is when someone decides to corner the market on an item. Like deciding to buy up all the 40/15 jewels and double the price just because they can. Haven't noticed yet this season, hopefully that behavior fades away.

    I've play all 9 seasons and some people on this game crack me up with trading. Its like they've never heard the saying: 'a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush'. The way I play this game is I just generally accept what the the person is willing to pay. They obviously need the item more than me and it moves the game along for the whole community.

      There's a few items I will be less open to bargain on, but for 95% of trades I accept 75% of asking price when selling and generally pay their asking price. Not going to waste my time haggling with people over pixels lol

    I agree, it would certainly help if all offers and the accepted offer would be transparent. Then you can really make a informed decision on the price. Not sure on the rating system, different time zones, issues on messages on websites etc. make some trades hard to complete. Bad rates based on that would hurt.
    Nice to have feature: Automatic trades from separate stash page. You can put your item in there, list it, and when you accept an offer, they trade will be performed automatically.

    stars reviews is a great idea.

  • @rafaeljm3204
    @rafaeljm3204 6 месяцев назад

    Although the star review is a good idea, I get some people think it's too much work. Another idea would be a way to flag someone in the site only for yourself. So if that name appears again in the trade site, it appears red or something (just for you). That way you would know you previously flagged this person (and you could come up with whatever flagging scheme suits you the most).

    So basically you're telling us that you lowballed this guy by offering him 22.5% of his price (which you said was a fair price for this item) and then you decided to post a video on youtube because he refused trading it to you? Thank god there's no such system on the trade site

    His character is fine. Idk. Kinda seems like an unnecessary post. It's his item. He can sell it for what he wants.
    That being said, you're also right. Investing 10hrs into your character earlier rather than later is worth more than the 1.5hrs extra he's trying to scrounge out of this dungos. I wouldn't classify this as a 'problem' but more of a lesson. Just my 2 cents. Happy hunting, cheers 🍻

  • @hermitcraig

    What bothers me is when someone does a 'feeler' listing and doesn't actually sell the item even at listed price. Waste of time. If people don't know what something is worth they need to learn how to price check. This is an issue in PoE as well.

  • @BasegFarmer
    @BasegFarmer 6 месяцев назад +1

    it does go both ways though, a lot of the time people are basically giving away items for next to nothing.
    The only bad thing i see about showing offers is that people will just make a 2nd account to offer on their items 😅though it would probably be a rarer occasion.

    • @Christoff070

    Yeah this is a weird take. He found people were willing to pay 10 and maybe he was thinking he would make a boss killer with it and to part with it he needed an extra HR.
    I do this with some GH items i might use on a mew character if i ever got around to it. Found the price and priced it just a little higher because I don't WANT to sell it but will for a bit more than market value

    • @Lawlsuit
      @Lawlsuit  6 месяцев назад

      yes and I've briefly touched on that in other videos. I think that's fine too. For example, I do not like my blade sentinel sin, but I've invested enough I might keep it, so my crown of ages I don't want anymore I will sell, but I do want the market price for it. Otherwise I'll keep it and super juice my Necro merc, or something like that. I just don't think that's what happened here given his characters current gear status. I did a followup to this video to explain further.

    I had a guy jerk me around a few season ago on a 6os windhammer, the "offers" he was getting kept magically going up. He messaged me a few days later asking if I wanted to buy it for what I had previously offered, but I had since found and eth Cranium Basher and kitted it out. Told him in the nicest way I could without getting a suspension or something to shove it up his ass.
    Last season I was chasing a 2 max all dungos like the one you showed and again the guy jerked me around and eventually quit without ever even selling it.
    incredibly frustrating

      That's whyi almost always sell a bit lower. Keep trade flowing, ensure I get a sale. When to buy timing-wise is also important. Right now, wisp proj is through the roof price-wise (bad slammed and bad rolled ones are 5hrs). So, I'm happy to wait until they drop a bit lower, I always have a chance to find one myself too in the meantime.
      The burden is ultimately really on the seller to set a reasonable price. (Assiming the buyer is mostly reasonable too). If he doesn't, his item doesn't sell, and he risks never selling it at all, as most players will have farmed/obtained that item after a few weeks of farming maps with their strong characters.
      If they dont have a strong farming character, chances are that they don't have the 5HRs to buy a wisp anyway, so once again, sale opportunity missed. Same goes for tyraels and templars might, I saw one listed for 20HR the other day , and wasn't even a prrfect socket slam just a cbf or something. Theres only a few things besides gg endgame gear that should be listed for that many HRs, such as perfect skilled-slammed anni. Once again, even those woth string farming chars would barely have enough to afford it. Hands up if you have a spare 20HRs, 3 weeks into the season? After investing in my char I have about 6 total, 7 if u include was and pgems.
      So, hopefully the guy who listed said tyraels for so high will be able to self-reflect, and realise he should lower that price dramatically.
      It's like finding a giant diamond in south Africa and then trying to sell it to a poor African family

    Totally agrer with your idea in principle but, having gonr through the absolute hell in trading on d2r websites back in the day; im happy not having to leave reviews for every player i trade with. Its too time-consuming. In the meantime, i juat write down names of players like these to watch out, and occasipnay highlight such behaviour in the discord (without naming names, unless im reporting them ofc). Itt may also open the door to sneaky groups of ppl giving dislikes to others; in order ti dissuade someone from trading wiith them.
