i can explain... so the match before i unchecked the automatic load options and went in not knowing i did this finished that match and then hoped in this one. T.T you have no clue how depressed i felt after this match and now its on youtube, wonderful.
The horrible sinking feeling when you load in and look at your HUD and realize you only have 13 rounds. And yet you survived to the end of the match. In THIS match. That's some amazing bluffing skills.
I might have a reason why the T-62A only went into battle with 13 shells, because it has happend to myself too. He might've been playing Clan Wars and loaded either 100% gold or more gold ammo and unchecked thee "Ammo resupply" butten, like I did in my T110E5. I had 24 shells in total, but I alreast got a ace tanker out of it :D
+HybridGhost That doesn't make any sense. If I ever were that broke, I'd go play tier 5 and 6 or tier 8 premiums, not high tier non-premiums, as they are a credit sink without a premium account.
Captain here! The thing written on the right side of his tank is Sovetski Polyarnik. Which roughly translates into 'Soviet man who is living in the north most part of Russia',which is part of the North Pole.
Maybe he made a mistake when organising his ammo? I've been in a situation where I went into battle with 6 rounds due to me equipping 10 HEAT rounds and the rest normal AP rounds for the previous game, and switching off my auto resupply because I didn't want to pay for the HEAT resupply. I'll admit it was a bit of shit to the brain, but that happens to everyone at some point right?
+Doctor Dozy i was driving in CW setup with 3 tanks, almost 6 months after i had my last CW battle. I just forgot about changing the setup every time after i cursed in game about the bloody expensive round i´ll have. (When i play T10s with some friends we only play the dailys once for every tank) BUT, i always leave auto resupply ON, so that what happened to this guy never happens to me. If you cant afford resupply ammo worth a few 10k, you shouldnt do it anyway. And if you rebuy the expensice ammo and switch back to normal setup manually, you have the expensie one on stock for the next time you will use it. Things like "i will try this only once just to see what it does" almost never happen. I guess when it happens you will never do it again, because you just screwed your team and yourself over, but imagine if that happens to your team every time you play a random game. Just a game, shit happens, but dont do it too often :)
+Doctor Dozy Me, I just don't load all that much Prem ammo. If its a prem tank, sure, I might load 10 rounds b/c the pen is crap, but most of the time I have at most 4 prem rounds.
+Doctor Dozy I had a Guy in my Clan tell me he only loads like 40 rounds in his Löwe because he wont get an ammo rack that fast with less shells loaded :P haha
+Doctor Dozy Well that guy just sat around and did nothing. He could have taken the hits while his teammates were still alive. If he kept the M46 alive they would have won the game.
+VinnyRealm True, it is new. But at the same time, people have also realized it has little to no redeeming qualities. Especially when compared to it's brother, the FV215b (183)
+VinnyRealm Not only that, but the 263 is good, or at least it certainly has good, usuable features (Decent frontal armour, high dpm, good speed), even though it has it's glaring issues (open top, the side armour is made of ammo racks and is super thin, gun depression)
You never disappoint with the entertainment Jingles. I know people send you the replays but you are a genius at making it better with your commentary. Good job.
the Mighty Jingles has given me reason to play games again thanks buddy without you I wouldn't have even found this game you're awesome and I follow you religiously now
A couple other things you forgot to mention. 1. The 263 has a 130mm gun 550 damage, a jagdtiger has a 128mm gun 560 alpha damage; because reasons 2. It has the weakest ammorack at tier 10 (excluding arty) 3. Shots fired at the armor that is right next to mantlet (not the 250mm armor, but the armor in the slot where the mantlet sits) will bounce behind the mantlet and do damage. #3 is from my own experience playing the 263. I still like this td though as it is fun to play.
When the Obj263 moves his gun left and right it open spaces where you can shoot right into the tank with any gun. It's a hell of a shot that you can't really hit at long range, but it's also possible to bounce shots into it.
Nice to see some rarer tanks ingame being used by those who have luck and know them well, thank you to PurpleFresh & naturally, yourself Mr Jingles :P and other good human tank commanders/ship captains/flying officers etc.
you load the ammo and everything but you forget to check "resupply automaticly" and every battle it eats away the amount of shells you have left until you notice which is usually too late
The lower glacial of the 263 is also a weakspot, especially when firing up into it or from a distance when you don't have to shoot at it with a downwards angle. Even if you must shoot down at the lower glacial as long as the angle isn't steep it will pen. I can reliably with 258mm of pen from all but extreme angles and at all but the closest of ranges when it's being presented at a steep angle
Possibility is that T62A did not have enough credits after previous match to automatically replenish his ammo so only munition left was the ones he didn't shoot that match. Then he picked up his premium vehicle, grinded more credits with it, forgot the whole ammo issue during that and entered the next match with T62A carrying only those 13 shots. Low amount but not necessarily so low the game reminds you of it upon queuing for next match.
Jingles, I think part of the reason why we don't see as many of these is because the grind is tough. You have 2 tanks in a row at tiers 7 and 8 which are campy and inflexible with meh guns, which SirFoch appropriately calls the 'Toilet' and the 'Supertoilet' with another line right next to it that gets guns that do 750 alpha and over 250 pen at tier 8. Between the two, gotta go for the ISU line, at least first.
must have been an "oh crap" moment for the the T-62A driver. But as you mentioned Jingles, this can happen if you research a new turret, or you forget to check the box saying auto resupply.. Still a real derp moment thou
The thing people seem to forget is that some people are still under the impression that carrying more ammo slows your tank down and makes you get ammo racked more often despite being not true.
Jingles, I remember in a clan I used to be in several of the people in there used to not auto-reload, as they made spreadsheets of their expenditures in the game, down to listing how many shells of each type and their prices. This led to a few of them derping in Clan Wars or training rooms occasionally, having a lower-than-full ammo loadout in the battle. It may not be a common (or normal) excuse, but maybe that's the reason why the T-62A had only 13 shells loaded?
Im going to just make the guess that the t62a was going for the "finnish the battle with your last shot" Medal and just brought ammo equal to the avarage dmg he does with the tank and hoped for luck.
Jingles, just a question (which makes me seem demanding lol) but you've mentioned that you've played Fallout 4 (then again, who hasn't). Any chance your willing to show us your amazing skills in it? (Probably spoiler free I guess, or a spoiler alert :P)
Jingles, this happens for those among us not running a premium account and actually running low on credits from time to time. You don't have the credits to reload directly after a fight, it just doesn't happen. You play lower tiers for some time to grind the creds, then switch to the high tier again... forgetting to top out the ammo load.
Going into a match without full ammo is possible if you doing something like a training room or something like that where your tank doesn't get destroyed but you still use ammo. I did it in my E3 one time, and it was a real sticky situation when it came down to 3 on my team and 2 on theirs and I had only HE ammo left, and they were in relatively armoured heavies. I let me team know though, and seeing me in an E3 realized they could use me as a rolling shield, which they did and we still won. So it all worked out for me.
I like how jingles used to always criticize how the dictionary added another definition to the word literally. He would say that if you said literally than what you said actually happened, but at the end of this video he said "he literally brought a knife to a gun fight". The thing is, he didn't bring a knife to a gun fight but rather brought a digital tank into a digital tank fight without digital ammunition. Thought I would point that out and be that guy...:p
I'm starting to think that the T-62A player is so excited because he just bought the thing and went straight into battle rather than setting his tank up for battle.
Since the last patch some tanks that I have been playing for years and had auto ammo reload and consumable resupply checked have had the boxes unchecked. Mostly consumables and have been put out of games because of not being able to repair. I check every time I take out a tank now. Sometimes prem has been set to be paid for gold as well after a patch.
I've done this before, It's if you have a battle, then don't have enough credits to resupply afterwards it doesn't resupply it. Then you forget about it a day or 2 later and charge into battle with half the shells because you shot them all the previous day and it didnt resupply them
I just checked Vectrum on wotlabs on the NA server. I initially thought that maybe he had just bought the T-62A and had forgotten to turn ammo reload on, so after 3 battles was running low, but no, he has, right now, 4295 battles in the T-62A. I don't think he managed a quick 4290 battles between that replay and today.
+The Mighty Jingles the reason you dont see them often is usually because people get discouraged by the tanks leading up to the 263. I would love to have this tank but when I got to the su-100m1 I knew I wouldn't make it through
@Paul Berger they removed that feature in WOT. Now or doesn't matter whatever is your ammunition loadout. It only counts of your ammo rack is full or empty.
the t62a driver probably did a battle in it, lost, had enough credits to buy 13 shells, dropped to zero credits, and shot right into the next battle without realizing his shortage
I can explain because it has happened to me too once at tier 10. I had a long day with more than 120 matches, I was a zombie at the end of the day (which was at 4AM) and I have changed the ammo loadout but I forgot to tick a certain type of shells (HE or APCR - I don't actually remember) but at the start of the match I had only one type of the shells the other type was "0".
A few patches back, my platoon mate got his new T-54 and was so anxious to play ti, that he skipped the whole ammo / consumables thing... went into battle with NO AMMO.... but he still finished with a kill.... he rammed an AMX 1375 to death :P
Jingles, you spend all your money before loading into a fight. In that fight you dont get enough credits to rearm it after the match. So the next time you revisit it, you go into match with whatever remaining ammo was in the tank the last round. When you forgot about running out of funds to reload it after. Thats how it happens.
In War Thunder, I only load 16 shells in my M-18 plus one in the chamber. That forces all of the ammo to be stored at the bottom of the hull, out of harms way
I'm grinding up to the 263 and I rather like the grind more so than the SU-152 and ISU-152 thus far. Haven't compared the tier 9s yet though. The SU-100M1 is completely overpowered in that you can relocate, so play it like a turretless medium tank with no armor and no health to trade. It really trains map awareness a lot.
A guy I used to play with didn't use auto-resupply because he said he "liked to do it manually". Of course he didn't like to do it enough to remember so in the last three games I ever played with him we used him as a distraction
I've done that myself. I ran out of credits and my tank failed to resupply. I then played my T5-6 tanks to get credits and forgot to resupply when I came back to my T10. I ended up in a match with 3 AP, 6 HE and my 6 HEAT reserve. I spent the whole match distracting the enemy and taking hits for my low health team mates.
Easy to explain. First, he must have deactivated the auto loadout option, and in the previous match he suffer no damage at all, then he got back to the garage, hit the battle button because he didn't have the need to repair his tank. And thats how you go into battle with just 13 shells. It happend me once with my St. Emil. I went to battle with just 8 shells lol.
The Object 263 has not only the highest average damage per game of any tier 10 tank destroyer, but it has the second highest damage per game of any tank in the game, behind only the AMX 50 B.
Yes Jingles, Yes we were amused. Thank you and Keep these videos rolling.. Speaking of Amusing I had a game in a FV304 ( I know you have a sweet spot for that tank) that I did on this same map, got a mere 800 damage but got 2800 spotting in a tier 6 match. Hmm .... ant that reversed?
A common thing for Tiger I drivers is to only load 20 shells less than the maximum in order to "decrease chances of premature ammunition detonation". This is probably something the T-62A did; he got fed up with ammoracks so much that he took shells out of his tank to decrease the likelihood of getting his ammorack set off.
I got a Fadin's medal in my Chafee doing that. I forgot to check the auto resupply ammo box. And then got the last killing shot in the next game with my last shell.
The T-62A player might not have had enough money to buy the shells. He should probably have played a different tank then to get the money, but that could be the explenation
my guess is the 62 a was playing with very low credits in his account, when he finished the battle before the one in the video, he only had enough credits to load 13 shells and didnt notice
He probably just bought the tank a game or two ago, and loaded the ammo on purchase, and didn't check the auto-resupply box, since its not checked by default.
yep, the second Soviet TD line is pretty painful till you get to the 263 played through the SU-100M1 and the SU-101, and both those tanks are sooooo frustrating to play >.
What could have happened with the T-62A is that he reïnstalled the game and forgot to tick the boxes because their default setting is off. He then played a battle or two without taking any damage thus not being forced to repair the tank. Or he ticked the auto repair box but misclicked on the ammo box. The latter being a pretty viable possibility if you ask me.
I'll confess after a rather heavy grinding session on War Thunder I have gone into battle not noticing that my "resupply ammo" button was unticked.... I ran out of cannon rounds in my fighters and bombs from my bombers!... yup, I felt silly... but! i've never done that on WoT >.
Oh yes, it is a very good TD, but you know, WoT is full of those anti-camping devices also known as "Skypigs" or "Scumbarty" or "Scumbag" or just arty for friends. Artillery, rebalancing tanks since: always !
+GetFoched A lot of TDs are good, but because mediums exist and arty is still unbalanced as all hell --> all TDs are USLESS! Wohoo! great game design. Kappa
+GetFoched There are tanks that are exceedingly vulnerable to oneshots by Artillery that show up all the bloody time. T110E3 is one such example, as is the Leopard 1. The biggest reason that the 263 is so rare is because most players don't want to or simply can't deal with the crippling issue of the non-existent gun depression and the dependence upon getting locations where they can unleash their DPM (Due to low Alpha high RoF guns) without being spotted on maps that have fewer and fewer locations for doing that available.
+Sokolniki By the way- why exactly does WG keep pumping out urban maps, removing concealment, and adding hard cover to break line of sight everywhere on their maps? Some of the old maps were great. Seems like they want to force everyone to play either mediums or heavies.
If I had to guess, they wan't to avoid recreating the situation where a stealthy TD could dominate the end game as easily as they used to before the camo nerf. Stealthy DPM TD's can still get into solidly concealed positions where they can hold down LMB without being revealed during the early stages of a match on the majority of the maps so long as you obey the 15m rule, but they become much more vulnerable once the front line breaks down and the enemy is able to start closing within 350m. At this point, the differences between some of the Stealthy TD's becomes more pronounced, as Mobile DPM machines like the 263 line TD's can evacuate with ease while glass cannons like the Waffle Line tend to lack the mobility to get out before being spotted much of the time and start eating HE shells. You can find good players still doing quite well in their Stealthy TD's through wise use of concealment... it's just not as easy to absolutely dominate a 1v5 situation through vision mechanics is all.
if the su 101 is buffed to have the is4 gun then i will be going for this thing since i cant be aggressive any more i may as well get some of grinds of the campy tanks done
hmm ... Honestly I was actually expecting the plot twist to be something like this: "The jagtiger was also out of ammunition. His waiting for the 62a was just a bluff, because dint want to pay a full repair cost"
+BMWM3GTRLOVER or just he forgot that he had no money for reffling ammo, and didnt look at amount of shells before battle, and when he noticed it, it was too late already *lol*
+Jonolitium4 This is most likely what happened. I recently bought a new tank and my credits were in the several thousands. Chances are that he just ran out of money to restock his tank.
I remember back in the around 1000 battles I did I was loading only half of the ammo my first tier VII Tiger P could carry, because I wasn't any good back there and every game with that tank give me huge bill I had to play for repairs and plus ammo(which back then was only AP and HE, gold was still for gold I think) was more then I could make on tier V and VI games. So to reduce costs I was loading half or just double I was shooting on average back then, but thanks god I then realized that I can still make profit if I just don't suck so much and shoot more then get shoot by enemy tanks and before I did get to VIII I was loading my tanks to the max but I still used manual ammo loading just to better control my expenses because I was doing multiple nations tech trees so I needed money to buy other tanks and I full loading and repair a tank was too much I would just play V and VI to get more monkey before I would repair and load that tank again. Now I got plenty of credits so I mostly use auto restock option, but even so I only had ammo problems when I bought a tank on sale but still hold the one before him to sell him over the sale for higher price, so when I finally loaded my crew form old one to new one and go into the battle I had stock supply or none of ammo XD But it happend once or two, but tier X? hahahahahaha XD GG WP XD
do you remember the FV215b (183) doing 15k damage and eating a defeat because his team was garbage and he didnt manage to oneshot the full health enemy WT E100 in the end. This replay is nothing against that. We get this every day
I've had that ammo problem before..... new tank and forgot to check the resupply automatically box...... makes the 2nd battle in the tank a bit interesting lol
Brilliant. Loved it. But Jingles you missed the final punch-line...... THE REAL EXPLANATION FOR THE RESULT IS BELOW : THE JAGDTIGER HAS NO AMMO LEFT EITHER!
i can explain... so the match before i unchecked the automatic load options and went in not knowing i did this finished that match and then hoped in this one. T.T you have no clue how depressed i felt after this match and now its on youtube, wonderful.
Not your fault, everyone's made that mistake at some point
@@siddharthkalra5114 True but not everyone ended up on RUclips over it

+gjtjuh7 Knowing you I suspect you do that on purpose to farm Fadin's medals :P
+gjtjuh7 He wasn't in a clan, so nope.
+gjtjuh7 no clan tag?
+Greenberet +Sotamies1 Hmmm I didnt saw that O_O He might got out of a clan after CW....
gjtjuh7 Ockhams razor suggests he was simply out of credits. I know people like that - "Lets play tier 10 - oh I have only 2k credits left..."
He probably didn't have any money left and so had to use what was left in his tank, as he didn't have enough credits to re supply.
+HybridGhost When you're nearly broke is the best time to play tier 10s, naturally.
+HybridGhost
That doesn't make any sense.
If I ever were that broke, I'd go play tier 5 and 6 or tier 8 premiums, not high tier non-premiums, as they are a credit sink without a premium account.
+darkstar984 I agree, however what if he had one tank and had a series of really bad games in it? Really unlikely but possible
+HybridGhost happens to me in my E-100 so I sold it and got 3 new tank that I love

Hi jingles haven't watched any of your vids for ages but they still keep that extreme quality. I miss the old start though
A couple other things you forgot to mention. 1. The 263 has a 130mm gun 550 damage, a jagdtiger has a 128mm gun 560 alpha damage; because reasons

+Twinkie Phobe Not just the weakest, it's the most exposed ammo rack. Gotta be reeaaaaal careful with anything taller than you.
+Twinkie Phobe German bias, obviously.
Calibar means nothing to how much damage a gun does, WG stated that it is for balancing reasons.
+Twinkie Phobe Jagdtiger has less penetration in trade for more damage
+Twinkie Phobe On number 1. 2mm difference is not important. The difference is in "Muzzle velocity" and "Ammunition type".
When the Obj263 moves his gun left and right it open spaces where you can shoot right into the tank with any gun.

+Harbinger Reaper I haven't played it because I haven't played any of the Fallout games.
+Dávid “Nildzre” Elek Same here ;)

The lower front plate is only ~180mm thick when a 263 is looking straight at you (and it has to because of it's gun arc is so narrow)
JINGLES, did I miss something or do you have yet to release the Girls und Panzer commentating footage?
Didn't you say you gonna post that?
the second this question jingles
this must happen!
Jingles, the 263 actually doesn't get ammo racked as often as you would think it does.
Ahhh... Bacon sandwich, Just about to unlock the Tempest Mk.V, and a new Jingles video. Life is good :D
Love the Dun Dun Dun moment for Jingles
Good video, that ending was a unique situation.
It's 2 am... "the mighty jingles has just uploaded a video"
dammit jingles! Why do you do this to me?? I NEED TO SLEEP!
+Zach W-S he is not putting a gun to your head now, is he? so stop complaining and go to sleep. the vid is still there when you wake up!
It's such a joy watching these vids lol!
Didn't see that coming. Thanks, Jingles.
I would love to have this tank but when I got to the su-100m1 I knew I wouldn't make it through
Following posting this comment I then hit play again on the video and 2 seconds later you go and say what I just explained myself. Go me
Thanks for making your minimap bigger
I'd say that 0bj. 263 does very well as a bully, and in close distance. From the front, you must be really lucky to penetrate this thing.
@Paul Berger they removed that feature in WOT.
Now or doesn't matter whatever is your ammunition loadout.
It only counts of your ammo rack is full or empty.
Do you get Courageous Resistance on a draw when getting a battle hero?
the t62a driver probably did a battle in it, lost, had enough credits to buy 13 shells, dropped to zero credits, and shot right into the next battle without realizing his shortage
Greatest TD ever. I love mine. I even liked it's tree (but i played it in platoons with 2 other mediums)
"he quite literally brought a knife to a gunfight" Well... no... he brought a tank without any shells to a tankfight. That's not what literally means.
He quite figuratively brought a knife to a gunfight. Better?
Better.
A few patches back, my platoon mate got his new T-54 and was so anxious to play ti, that he skipped the whole ammo / consumables thing... went into battle with NO AMMO.... but he still finished with a kill.... he rammed an AMX 1375 to death :P
Ty... great job commenting as I watched this battle. Very entertaining.
That forces all of the ammo to be stored at the bottom of the hull, out of harms way
Nice vid Jingles! Normally I don't care for tier 10 replies but this one was really good.
This "vectrum" character is quite the masochist. He played almost 5K battles in M4A2E4. No wonder he goes into battle without replenishing ammunition.
I Just watched a video and the wad if only uploaded... WAAAT jingles uploaded a video!!!
maybe the t62a Just ran out credits previous match?
The T-62 didn't bring a knife to a gunfight, it brought HALF a knife, to a gunfight. XD
can also shoot inside mantlet recess pretty thin armor and usually ricochets underneath the mantlet
I am fairly sure I've seen this very tank before in a video from Jingles, including the comments about the front armor and the ammo racks. Deja Vu?
It's a mathematical concept you are not expected to understand Jingles.
A guy I used to play with didn't use auto-resupply because he said he "liked to do it manually". Of course he didn't like to do it enough to remember so in the last three games I ever played with him we used him as a distraction
Id like to point out that 263 is actually quite a popular tank among those who have played a bit longer and know how to play.
Hearing Jingles say my name is oddly arousing.
Great video Jingles
Jingles, the possible reason for the T62-A not having ammo could be that he didn't have enough credits to buy it, it happened to me once.
I expected the JagdTiger to be out of ammo too, since he never tried to shoot through the building or do ANYTHING to prevent a draw.
+Paul Berger The amount of shells doesn't increase the chances of getting ammoracked; that's only a factor in War Thunder
MerryJerry Hmm. A guy with 23k battles and a 670 WN8 told me to decrease the amount of shells I have to decrease the chance I'll get racked.
Paul Berger 670 WN8 barely makes him a good player. He's wrong
At the time, I had around a 970 WN8 so I was skeptical but in a Tiger I it certainly couldn't hurt as the damn thing can carry 72 shells.
"This is what they gonna do the next minute and a half" while there is 40 seconds left in the game...
I got a Fadin's medal in my Chafee doing that. I forgot to check the auto resupply ammo box. And then got the last killing shot in the next game with my last shell.
I guess the T62-A was just researched... and He was so exited, that he didnt bother to load Ammo and load some consumables :D
Come on jingles! T-62a probably bought his tank some seconds or minutes before and he was rushing to play it and.... he had just a few shells!
He probably just bought the tank a game or two ago, and loaded the ammo on purchase, and didn't check the auto-resupply box, since its not checked by default.
yep, the second Soviet TD line is pretty painful till you get to the 263
played through the SU-100M1 and the SU-101, and both those tanks are sooooo frustrating to play >.
Jingles uploaded? Well, time to sit in the Bathroom and miss French Class
Kappa
+GetFoched There called skycancer.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH only 200 views love your vids mighty jingles
hmm ...
Honestly I was actually expecting the plot twist to be something like this: "The jagtiger was also out of ammunition. His waiting for the 62a was just a bluff, because dint want to pay a full repair cost"
Hey +Jingles, whats that Casual waiting music you put in your videos? XD i really want to find out please.
That T-62A must have been brand spanking new
+BMWM3GTRLOVER or just he forgot that he had no money for reffling ammo, and didnt look at amount of shells before battle, and when he noticed it, it was too late already *lol*
+Jonolitium4 This is most likely what happened. I recently bought a new tank and my credits were in the several thousands. Chances are that he just ran out of money to restock his tank.
+BMWM3GTRLOVER except that the guy has over 4k battles in it....
+BMWM3GTRLOVER MoE requires 50-100 battles so, nope.
WoT random battles...working as intended
Going into battle with no shells is something that most people do once. I've never seen someone only load a fraction of his ammo capacity.
I am currently grinding to the Obj 263. I actually don't mind the SU101 that much. I like it
For a moment i thought that the plot twist was that the Jagdtiger ran out of ammo after killing that Patton.
Does anyone know the name of the waiting music Jingles uses in alot of videos including this one? I've been looking forever and never found it.
do you remember the FV215b (183) doing 15k damage and eating a defeat because his team was garbage and he didnt manage to oneshot the full health enemy WT E100 in the end. This replay is nothing against that. We get this every day
I've had that ammo problem before..... new tank and forgot to check the resupply automatically box...... makes the 2nd battle in the tank a bit interesting lol
Omg jingles another great video!
Brilliant. Loved it. But Jingles you missed the final punch-line......
THE REAL EXPLANATION FOR THE RESULT IS BELOW :
THE JAGDTIGER HAS NO AMMO LEFT EITHER!
