If you intend to keep the sealed copy for your own pleasure and not as an investment then it makes sense, but if you have any intention of reselling it then you are not wise. If however you can get them cheap like I did when BJs wholesale stopped selling games years ago and clearanced everything for $5-$10 for sealed wii u and 3ds games then it makes sense.
I always wonder, what if the items inside the sealed copy broken? or something is missing? That's one of the reasons why I never keep my games sealed + the fact that I buy games to play them and not keep them in the factory seal.
Another thing to think about is the cost of inflation, If you bought a 50 dollar game in the 1990's and now it's worth 100 bucks with the devaluation of roughly 50 % loss of purchasing power since the 1990's it means you are exactly even. That's a horrible investment to break even 30 years later, it means the majority of all games aren't even keeping up with inflation, most people don't even think like that, but it's something that is very real. I agree with you it's much better to do faster flips or other flips that you don't have to wait years or even decades to make a profit from. I resell full time, it's much better to flip as fast as you can and make that money quicker to do more flips, and maybe keeping longer term flips minimal so your capital isn't tied up.
Hello. Most people who have nostalgia for the PS2. They buy a PS2 with the 5 games that he/she used to own as a child plus 5 more that that he/she wants to play that they have never played before because they like the look of them. Rarely unless someone is either a reseller or a speculator, wants 100, 1,000 or the whole set of over 4,000 PS2 games. A normal person doesn't want PAL, NTSC U/C and NTSC J, EA classics, platinum, UK, Spanish, Italian, North American, Japanese and other country cover varieties. Also you only need to have 1 PS2, you don't need a collection of different varieties of PS2 consoles, fat, slim, different colours varieties, test system, PAL, NTSC U/C, NTSC J, completion giveaways and other types. It's also the same for other accessories such as controllers, buzzers, add-ons and memory cards. Most people only want 10 games or so. Not even 20 games. Most people don't want a massive collection of video games. You can only play 1 game at a time.

why would the factory sealed Pokemon game you showed if you sent it in for grading only return something in the 80s as far as grading why wouldn't return 100 since it is in mint condition
I dont think current gen games will have nearly the value as older gen games since digital sales account for about half of game sales now. There will be less attachment for physical copies for the younger generation who decide to revisit these games when they're older and will likely rebuy digital again.
If they are available in digital format, sure. But what if they aren't on any servers? The only way you could play them again is to buy them physically and with digital sales accounting for half of all sales, the availability of the physical media will be limited. But I agree that they DEFINITELY won't have the same value as what some NES and SNES games currently have and keeping a copy of God of War for the PS4 sealed in the hopes that in 30 years, you could make an additional $10-$15 is just ridiculous.
@Mr. NoName My best "score" in gaming actually just came a few weeks ago when I found an APF-M1000 sitting on the floor of a Pawn Shop. I asked the guy working the register (who was subbing for the owner and the owner ALWAYS checks eBay because she doesn't price any of her things) how much it was and he said "$5". The APF-M1000 is a $500 console.
Very informative, again. I also think the video game market is not a good long-term investment and is overhyped at the moment. If we consider games like Pokemons for Nintendo DS which are selling for relatively high prices in Germany (some over 100€). There are Millions of copies in the wild (and tons on ebay) in boxes that stay pristine for say 50 years (unlike GBA for example) and still they are selling for more than double the original retail price. It would be really speculative to buy them now in larger quantities. I bet you can get them back in 20 years for lower than now because most people will simply emulate the games...
Thank you for this video. Its a year later, and Mario 3D All Stars Speculators are just blind to the truth, and I'm happy I can send this to friends making poor investments.
Here's my take: 1. Looking for sealed games is pointless. If you want to play them, you're going to open them and if you're just planing on using them as decor, they look just as good without the cellophane. 2. If you plan on playing a 1st Party Nintendo game (and New Condition is a must), you're no better off waiting than you are buying it on Launch Day. If you want to be able to sell it for what you bought it for or potentially more, buy the Special/Collectors edition if they release one, otherwise expect to be able to sell it for 20% less. If you don't intend on playing, wait for about 3 years and you can save MAYBE 20%.
Im a collector him: buying one Sealed for the collection and 1 to open and play. I do this at the time the Games are falling in price(im a bargain hunter if you want to call it that way). I have alot of double Games (1 sealed/open each) and payed less then full price for both together (did this alot with Wii U and 3DS Games and most of the Sealed Games only costs me 10-15€ each) So i get the part he means about, buying 2 Sealed Copies on release, but the prices will fall for sure (unless it's truly limited in some kind) And if you ask me: yes it's strange, but i collecting sealed Games since 2005 and own Sealed GC Games that did costs me 5-30€ (depending on the Game of course) and having most of them double, because i did buy GC Games on release to play them. So the funny thing is, that my Sealed copies was way cheaper as my used Games^^ And no, i don't do collect Sealed stuff to make a buck on it (maybe a few, if i actually need some money) because i still have all my Sealed GC Games even after over 15 years. :) The sad thing is: if it comes to grading a Game, there are alot even more dumb ppl out there with to much money and actually pay that higher price for a graded copy. So there's a reason for ppl buying to let grade and sell it after that (something like scalpers do) it's always about the Money, and mostly money alone.
switch is not collectible for the most part. I'm sure he was thinking "first print". But everyone is doing it now. The most recent of anything that is collectible is wii u, and really only a few select titles, and the cardboard limited editions w amiibos, etc. That's it. No ps4's, no xbox 1s, not even really 3ds, vita, 360, ps3 etc. I'm not in those. Gamecube is about as new as I go w this stuff, and eve those are faked really well these days, and the dvd style cases are just too plentiful in good shape.
You are correct and incorrect here. People will pay a premium for certain Switch games even after they are out of print. The problem is twofold, and this is where you are 💯 correct: Way too many people are hoarding this stuff long term, and the opportunity cost of holding this stuff long term for investment is far too great.
@@ReservedInvestments yeah that was going to be my retort when I saw your replies first sentence. Opportunity cost is just too high. Then there's storage and possibility of getting ruined, stolen, etc. I don't like it. Put the cash in the Spyder in that case. I still do it for fun, but only older stuff really. Right now is actually a decent time to buy sealed stuff from the 90s n early 00s, as the crash has soured a lot of people. But I'm only buying deals to where I could sell them tomorrow and at least break even w fees n shipping, and likely still make a few pennies. But just very select titles. The days of people buying secondary titles or primary titles in sub par condition and flipping them 90 days later for a 50% profit are over. You know when used cars go up 30%, that there's a problem.
Its kinda crazy, I just got recommended this video. You've been preaching these things for 2 years and people still fall for these "investors" . Hurts to see so many people stay poor because they fall for pretty much conmen selling them "investments"
WATA differentiates production timeframe as “early, late, etc.” - so, around the game retirement date, the stores are likely to be discounting the late production run copies, and the early production run copies will be long gone. On a 30 year timeframe, a $20 cost basis vs a $40 cost basis might not matter all that much ... since at the end of the day, it’s the absolute dollar profit that matters, not the relative / ROI (percent increase number) that matters - when overhead cost far outweighs the cost for the item itself. Also, there are pieces of currency printed in the hundreds of thousands of units, or even millions of units, that go for five figures or more in very high grade condition. So, if the game is sufficiently key, and the grade is sufficiently high (ex: full mint or gem mint), I don’t see why the game can’t do the same.
You’re comparing pop culture to historic artifacts. The two markets don’t work the same way, first of all. Second, not a lot of early currency survived. Mass produced video games today are being hoarded. Your analysis is incorrect as a result. I’ve covered this in my fundamental videos. Watch them.
Are there any online clearance/distribution companies that are auctioning off, or otherwise selling early PS2/PS1 games for cheap? I heard him mention about how Sears and other mainstream retail outlets had blowout sales in the early 00's for the original Playstation and Xbox console games. It really makes you wonder if there are still lowkey clearance/distribution companies selling the same types of sealed early 00s games under the radar.
It's so ironic watching to a guy talk about how buying factory sealed, graded video games are bad investments while we can clearly see his shelf has factory sealed, graded video games on it
Not true if you wait 25 years on most things including sealed games will shoot up because collectors want stuff that’s quite rare , trouble is 25 years is along time in a human life depends if u want to wait that long , not short term tho I agree, ps2 sealed copies of GTA SAN ANDREAS selling for £600 quid on eBay
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the currently tanking vintage Magic the Gathering market. Do you think there's any chance the prices might come back up?
Yes, but it’s going to take some time due to the massive speculative bubble caused by the advent of RUclipsrs like Alpha Investments and sites like MTG Finance on Reddit.
The only sealed game I have is Devils Third... I actually got it a year ago and it just came sealed. So I thought "ehhh I'll keep it sealed because why not." With no expectations that it will have value someday. It could who knows. If it's valuable in 15 years cool... But that will be because it's Devils Third not because it's sealed. I just don't care enough to care.
Well said. I know nothing about video game investing but this sounds right. Good take on crypto, I would say after 60k+ you can start dipping your toes for diversification/hedge against fiat but 100K+ sounds more responsible. Thanks for the video.
I have around 6-7 sealed nintendo Nes games including renegade, gauntlet, gauntlet 2 and several others... granted they are not mario, zelda, metroid, etc, but I still think they have some value, especially due to the recent influx of wata and heritage speculators. My question is this.... should I hold onto these for a little while longer to let the market mature more or sell them now via heritage or ebay. Please keep in mind I paid around $60 for all of them so around $10 each a few years ago. Any input would be great. Thanks.
Go to pricecharting.com and you can see a chart of the prices of games. Renegade peaked back in 2012 at $460, plummeted to roughly $160 in 2014, then started coming back up. It was $320 a few months ago, but has slowly started creeping down in price. You may still be able to get $350 out of it if you sell it now, but if you wait, it may be worth a lot less. For Gauntlet, that depends on if it's Licensed (Grey Cart) or Unlicensed (Black Cart). The Licensed one (which says "licensed by Nintendo" on the bottom right of the box) has plateaued at about $75, whereas the Unlicensed one (which says "Not designed, manufactured, sponsored, or endorsed by Nintendo" on the bottom right) is continuing to rise in value; it has yet to peak or plateau. Gauntlet II peaked back in 2014 at $100, it's worth about $60 now, but is slowly coming back up. I guess it depends on how much or little of a profit you are willing to take on each one.
This channel is great, been a subscriber for a couple days and have watched at least 10 videos already. What do you think of purchasing first party sealed (mostly the blue label no Nintendo selects) titles for wii u if you can purchase in the $25 or less range? For instance I've gotten 3 or 4 Mario World in blue case sealed for right around $20-25. Thanks.
Hi Sean love the channel what are you going to buy this Black Friday and why I would love an answer or video ahead of next week what stores you go to what times you go etc haha thanks keep it up
Poindexter... fantastic. 😂 I disagree in one regard. Say you're simply collecting to build up some extra cash for, like a Christmas gift fund. Say $300-700, by December: it's totally doable with new releases. And that's because of all of the limited production companies out now. It's not just Limited Run anymore - Special Reserve, IAm8Bit, Fangamer, Strictly Limited, Red Art, Piko Interacrive, etc. It's incredibly hard to keep up with all limited preorders now. So if you snag Shantae or Grandia Collection or Clockwork Aquario, chances are someone missed that preorder due to the variety of limited production physical game companies and the small quantities produced. And you can sell a $30-50 copy of Blasphemous for $110 or higher. Again, this is more hobby collecting and reselling. But (1.) it's fun, and (2.) it's nice having some extra cash in the several hundred dollar range. I love the videos!
Well you probably saved me a lot of money. My whole thought process was having a physical copy will be a rare thing in the future. We are already pretty much in the digital age. Collecting older games doesn’t really appeal to me though. Sorry gatekeepers.
inasuma dudes it all depends on the game. If it’s Mario Zelda or Pokémon I guarantee you it will be worth ATLEAST double if sealed in the next 20 years
I agree with you fully, and just like you I have a ton of sealed games that I bought for cheap, but don’t have time to play. I just keep them sealed until their ready to either get played or sold.
I have a habit of buying cheap games on the eShop, really liking them and buying a physical copy, then I don't open it because I don't need to I just like to have the physical copy 🤷 it never bothers me though because I don't spend more than £10 on the eShop
Horrible idea with few exceptions. Case in point, I preordered a Pokemon 20th Anniversary console from GameStop, back when it was released, and paid $200. I then sent it to VGA where it was graded a VGA 90. I had close to $400 invested in it, due to the grading and cost of the system. Sold it in December 2019 for about $1100, but that was an exception, not a rule. Most other systems, aren’t worth grading.
@@ReservedInvestments Okay interesting, I'll be more specific then. You're right I was very careful in choosing which consoles to speculate and they are as follows: 1. Pokemon 20th Anniversary console from GameStop. 2. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate edition (gamestop exlusive) I also built a bundle around this console which includes various rare monster hunter 4 capcom collectors items (many imported) - paid 300 CAD for this and there is currently only one listing on eBay for 750 3. Nintendo 3DS XL SNES Edition - Also have this built around an extremely rare set of nintendo SNES /mario kart themed items ex. rare fingerless nintendo promo mario kart leather racing gloves given out in 1992, as well as a mint condition SNES in complete original packaging and plastics. and more 4. 3DS XL Pickachu edition - currently one with a high grade on eBay for 1400 USD 5. Nintendo 3DS XL-Pokémon Sun & Moon Edition - this is also built around a collectors bundle which has all items related to game ex strategy guide, poke watch etc... Note: All these items are Brand new and are going on eBay for 2x even 3x what I paid for them currently. Let me know if you have an email you seem really knowledgeable about this stuff and it would be great to converse further :)
Reserved Investments I bought these for retail prices? You’re not making a lot of sense... the (discontinued) Nintendo 3DS XL consoles will never go for less than they were originally purchased for lol. I dunno where you get the idea that a NEW console won’t resell for higher than retail price on the secondary market 5-10 years after production finished on these limited runs. I think you’re mistaken and eBay sales would agree with me. Although I’m open to actual counter arguments as to why you think a new console would go for less 5-10 years after it was discontinued. You also didn’t address the fact that my consoles are built around rare collectors bundles?
pokemon omega ruby is already selling for over 50 on ebay since the 3ds line has been discontinued. Won't It just keep going up over time? so isn't that actually a good investment if you have the $$ to tuck away for a few years?
Yikes, Timmys really thought 3rd party grading is a scam? Shocking to hear. Of course, it CAN increase the prices of CERTAIN collectibles... if there's an actual demand for graded items! Or it can just be a huge waste of money if there's no demand.
Based on my past I now will buy an extra sealed copy if a game is one of my favorites since id like my own mancave one day. So far for the switch thats only a few games.
Chances are almost everything that anybody has ever bought in the history of the world is going to sell for less than what someone bought it for just because someone collects something doesn't mean it's a stupid collection piece maybe they just want to collect it and not think about reselling everything some people don't care as much about money as others
Only reason to buy those games is playing them. If you not plan on playing them why buy it? Edit: same problem with time. Just no time for video game playing anymore.
You make some good points here but also I see you have a Steam Siege booster box in the background which is apparently one of the worst Pokemon sets in history. Champion's Path isn't much better but it has charizard gambling factor lol
@@ReservedInvestments ohhh I could barely make it out on the highest quality at 720p and thought it was the same blue text that's on the steam siege box... Ancient Origins? fair enough, cool secret rare arts in that set! I do worry if consoles like Wii U, Switch sealed titles will ever be worth a huge amount with digital becoming more and more prevalent, but then again apparently the PS3 store just closed down so I bet PS3 physical copies are going to start increasing in price, that's if they haven't already!
@@ReservedInvestments Bioshock isn't a game nowhere even remotely close to Cyberpunk though. Even the game being as controversial as it is now will help it in the years to come
@@ReservedInvestments With future of gaming becoming more and more digital, with the pricing of games hitting $70, being almost every game becoming controversial, these things only help add more value especially if the game ends up being what's expected of it. Keanu Reeves is in it too. All these things help it in value. Super Mario Bros didn't just sell 1 million alone because it was a fun game. It had arguably the greatest console, childhood ect. 30 years from now hands on a sealed copy with not many out there because like I said before more and more people get there games digitally, that only makes it more sought after. Someone who really enjoyed that game will pay the numbers too.
@@ReservedInvestments ...and if you get on Ebay right now. Halo Combat Evolved "Not for Resale" $8500+ Halo Combat Evolved $15,000 ....hell even Fornite on Xbox One sealed copy is going for $7,500.
Who's to say there isn't going to be print run variations etc that make his copy worth more than the copy you end up buying in 3 years at the end of the games print run? BOTW comes to mind.
@@ReservedInvestments I wholly understand opportunity cost. I guess my comment is more about optimization. Not every person is looking solely at maximum optimization. Otherwise they would very likely not be investing in collectibles whatsoever. Genuinely no disrespect whatsoever, but it feels like a very classic boomer comment to say "Why would you buy X Y Z collectible when you could put that money in the stock market instead!?" Like... because then I don't get the same enjoyment out of it. I dunno. Just a comment on how not every person is looking to maximize every $10 or $20 out of investing is all.
That was funny the 2 copies lol. Like If he really wanted to make money from that, then that’ll be like 15 years to turn a profit. But idk why buy it so early, when the switch stops selling and switch games are dirt cheap because the new Nintendo console comes out then that’s the ti e to buy new cheap games. Weird
Okay…. but shouldn’t this same logic be applied to other older games? Do you know how many copies of Mario 64 were made? Plus, grading games is friggin’ gross. I hate the practice and all it stands for.
That game came out with a retail price of $39.99. If you would have put that same amount in an S & P 500 index, right now you’d have more than $100. Thanks for proving my point.
This is why I collect for fun and collect things I like

The APF-M1000 is a $500 console.
@Mr. NoName I kept it. I like my odd consoles.
More people using digital could mean less physical games around in ten years
Very informative, again.
He is breaking peoples hopes, but it's true.
Thank you for this video. Its a year later, and Mario 3D All Stars Speculators are just blind to the truth, and I'm happy I can send this to friends making poor investments.
Here's my take:
I have alot of double Games (1 sealed/open each) and payed less then full price for both together (did this alot with Wii U and 3DS Games and most of the Sealed Games only costs me 10-15€ each)
So i get the part he means about, buying 2 Sealed Copies on release, but the prices will fall for sure (unless it's truly limited in some kind)
And if you ask me: yes it's strange, but i collecting sealed Games since 2005 and own Sealed GC Games that did costs me 5-30€ (depending on the Game of course) and having most of them double, because i did buy GC Games on release to play them. So the funny thing is, that my Sealed copies was way cheaper as my used Games^^
And no, i don't do collect Sealed stuff to make a buck on it (maybe a few, if i actually need some money) because i still have all my Sealed GC Games even after over 15 years. :)
The sad thing is: if it comes to grading a Game, there are alot even more dumb ppl out there with to much money and actually pay that higher price for a graded copy. So there's a reason for ppl buying to let grade and sell it after that (something like scalpers do) it's always about the Money, and mostly money alone.
The only games I have sealed are ones I haven't had time to play yet.
I heard about your channel from Pat the NES Punk, love your videos.
Wow that's crazy someone buying a luigi's mansion on launch day sealed to keep. Lot of speculators out there!
switch is not collectible for the most part.
It's so ironic watching to a guy talk about how buying factory sealed, graded video games are bad investments while we can clearly see his shelf has factory sealed, graded video games on it
That’s the whole point, my friend. You need to watch some more of my videos. You’ll soon understand the message I’m trying to convey...😉
you should send a big thank you and pat and ian because they gave you really good praises and they are the reason I came here to watch this
Not true if you wait 25 years on most things including sealed games will shoot up because collectors want stuff that’s quite rare , trouble is 25 years is along time in a human life depends if u want to wait that long , not short term tho I agree, ps2 sealed copies of GTA SAN ANDREAS selling for £600 quid on eBay
Incorrect. Factor in opportunity cost and it is true. I have done videos on this...
I thought the same until I saw that God of War PS2 game sell for something like 12K! Now I'm looking to send in my PS2 and GameCube games.
Fortnite sealed on ps4 or xbox one is actually pretty hard to find
I would love to be a student of yours
This channel is great, been a subscriber for a couple days and have watched at least 10 videos already.
What do you think of purchasing first party sealed (mostly the blue label no Nintendo selects) titles for wii u if you can purchase in the $25 or less range? For instance I've gotten 3 or 4 Mario World in blue case sealed for right around $20-25. Thanks.
Most Wii U games are and will be re-released on the Switch, with few exceptions. As such, it’s not a good idea for the long term...
Hi Sean love the channel what are you going to buy this Black Friday and why I would love an answer or video ahead of next week what stores you go to what times you go etc haha thanks keep it up
This was a super informative upload thanks for the info!
Poindexter... fantastic. 😂
I disagree in one regard.
Ever hear of a conservative ETF? It’s little risk and someone can’t open a bogus fraud charge on you either...
Thank you for the talk I collect coins currency Atari games train Marx train sets and a few other things that I shouldn't be great talk thank you sir
This sounds like collecting 1990s Star Wars Power of the Force figures all over again.
Well you probably saved me a lot of money. My whole thought process was having a physical copy will be a rare thing in the future. We are already pretty much in the digital age. Collecting older games doesn’t really appeal to me though. Sorry gatekeepers.
That is true i generally purchase games on low print or games that look cool.
Pat brought me here.
I always thought this was hilarious. I'm going to spend $60 on a game in hope to sell it for $80 in 20 years.
But if you get it graded and it comes back with a gold grade, you can sell it for $300-350 now. You don’t know what you’re talking about
@@psurox11 not if no one even wants it but ok
inasuma dudes it all depends on the game.
Price is what you pay, value is what you get.
I have a habit of buying cheap games on the eShop, really liking them and buying a physical copy, then I don't open it because I don't need to I just like to have the physical copy 🤷 it never bothers me though because I don't spend more than £10 on the eShop
I'm thinking of putting $5000 into Elvis collectibles. Is that a solid investment?
Good one. You’re a funny guy.
What are your thoughts on speculating limited edition "New 3DS XL consoles"?
Horrible idea with few exceptions. Case in point, I preordered a Pokemon 20th Anniversary console from GameStop, back when it was released, and paid $200. I then sent it to VGA where it was graded a VGA 90. I had close to $400 invested in it, due to the grading and cost of the system. Sold it in December 2019 for about $1100, but that was an exception, not a rule. Most other systems, aren’t worth grading.
@@ReservedInvestments Okay interesting, I'll be more specific then. You're right I was very careful in choosing which consoles to speculate and they are as follows:
1. Pokemon 20th Anniversary console from GameStop.
2. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate edition (gamestop exlusive) I also built a bundle around this console which includes various rare monster hunter 4 capcom collectors items (many imported) - paid 300 CAD for this and there is currently only one listing on eBay for 750
3. Nintendo 3DS XL SNES Edition - Also have this built around an extremely rare set of nintendo SNES /mario kart themed items ex. rare fingerless nintendo promo mario kart leather racing gloves given out in 1992, as well as a mint condition SNES in complete original packaging and plastics. and more
4. 3DS XL Pickachu edition - currently one with a high grade on eBay for 1400 USD
I was under the impression you were buying them now....apologies...
pokemon omega ruby is already selling for over 50 on ebay since the 3ds line has been discontinued. Won't It just keep going up over time? so isn't that actually a good investment if you have the $$ to tuck away for a few years?
most recent sale was 58.99
@@Jason-gq1tr I keep factory sealed games if they are £5s or so
I have ten Pokémon games worth over £80s now brought at £5 each
Yikes, Timmys really thought 3rd party grading is a scam? Shocking to hear.
Of course, it CAN increase the prices of CERTAIN collectibles... if there's an actual demand for graded items!
Or it can just be a huge waste of money if there's no demand.
I agree ,but I also disagree;because if it’s Pokémon that factory sealed no matter what Gen it is it worth 100s to 1000s.
Please watch some of my other videos...
I have man. I love what you do!!!!!!
I miss the time when al videogames were handmade with love, and not in an assemble line 😡
Based on my past I now will buy an extra sealed copy if a game is one of my favorites since id like my own mancave one day. So far for the switch thats only a few games.
what year is considered vintage
Something 25 years and older is considered vintage.
Chances are almost everything that anybody has ever bought in the history of the world is going to sell for less than what someone bought it for just because someone collects something doesn't mean it's a stupid collection piece maybe they just want to collect it and not think about reselling everything some people don't care as much about money as others
I have tamashii for the ps4. Extremely rare, similar to poop slinger. There are exceptions to every rule
That’s not a Steam Siege booster box, please look again!
What about for game of the year type games with crazy hype? Cyberpunk 2077 and games like that?
How much is a factory sealed copy of Bioshock worth in 2020? 😳 No, just no...
Halo Combat Evolved "Not for Resale" $8500+
Halo Combat Evolved $15,000
....hell even Fornite on Xbox One sealed copy is going for $7,500.
You need to watch my other videos. You are a speculator, not an investor...
I'm going to grade my bitcoin!
Who's to say there isn't going to be print run variations etc that make his copy worth more than the copy you end up buying in 3 years at the end of the games print run? BOTW comes to mind.
You’re not understanding opportunity cost…
@@ReservedInvestments I wholly understand opportunity cost. I guess my comment is more about optimization. Not every person is looking solely at maximum optimization. Otherwise they would very likely not be investing in collectibles whatsoever. Genuinely no disrespect whatsoever, but it feels like a very classic boomer comment to say "Why would you buy X Y Z collectible when you could put that money in the stock market instead!?" Like... because then I don't get the same enjoyment out of it. I dunno. Just a comment on how not every person is looking to maximize every $10 or $20 out of investing is all.
I’m not a boomer…lol! At the very least google generations. 😂 Also, this is a finance channel. Perhaps the channel is not for you? 🤔
I love your passion.
factory sealed copy of a game that needs an update
I would disagree.. there were college students who only had $1000 & invested in crypto & became millionaires.. especially in a primitive market.
They took a huge risk by investing in something that could have easily gone to zero.
Weird
Lol yeah buying games like that an treating them like collectibles is a rookie move
Okay…. but shouldn’t this same logic be applied to other older games? Do you know how many copies of Mario 64 were made? Plus, grading games is friggin’ gross. I hate the practice and all it stands for.
Mario 3D all stars tho...
What about the new game and watch
Dude, I literally just uploaded a video on that now...lol.
Maybe if he wants to sit on it for 40 or 50 years. Not a smart thing to do with money.
Instant like
lol and this is why i only collect exclusives that i wana play on each system. i just wana enjoy the awesome 1st part games from each platform.
Pokemon omega ruby now worth $100 plus sealed
That game came out with a retail price of $39.99. If you would have put that same amount in an S & P 500 index, right now you’d have more than $100. Thanks for proving my point.
Thank you
And just like that, i hit the subscribe button.
Great Information!

Graded games are a waste of money
