Love this! Good to know what to look out for on my Sling. You added the Aluminum shock holders but didn't mention anything about em....are they necessary?
Cool video, you broke down what to not do and to do on that truck and explained why. You know your stuff! I just got done building the axial rbx10 ryft kit. I'm very happy. Talk too much, no way!!! You explain things well. Talk away!!!
Awesome!! Thank you for positivity. I always worry that the videos will be boring but I’m glad I was able to explain somewhat decently what I had in my mind. Those ryft’s seem super awesome when they are all built up!!!
Right now max10 esc and 2400kv bxl with ceramic bearings and spectrum s652 servo for now. I'm on a budget, aluminum tub inserts for the axles. And single speed for now. It takes a beating so fat. I'm in NYC by the GWB and right at the foot of the bridge is a 30 foot or bigger rock formation. It's taken some nasty10-12 foot tumbles no breaks so far
Thanks for this vid! It's very informative on what to do and not to do with these trucks. I have a 3yr old son who loves to play spinmaster's 1:15 Grave digger RC. I'm considering if I'll buy this one now and give it to him once he turns, 10 ish years old.
Curious on how hard are you running your trucks? Are you doing massive jumps and back flips? Just bought one and was wondering how far I can push it, lol
We run them pretty hard. We dont usually do massive jumps anymore but we backflip them a lot and beat them up. If you are hard on them the front axle will eventually crack so that’s when we upgrade to the treal aluminum axles
I plan to jump mine at least 10 feet high and do backflips as well haha I'm going to be posting videos of beginning bashing and progress as I go along to my youtube channel. I have a King Sling and it's basically the same so tune in! :)
That thing is pretty well prepared. I think it may have the upgraded shock seals but if not that may be something, maybe sway bars in the future but definitely not a must. Let us know how you like it!
It’s a little more stable, but definitely not a must. It still looks scale with the +5mm and any brand will work. I have used gpm on 2 others and they work great as well
Did that once as well. I think we just are really hard on them….haha. We have been really happy with the Servo AF Servo Saver. We have it on all of them
I have the servo AF servo saver and for some reason the first run it stripped out the gears in my power hobby servo. I gotta find some shorter ends however because it is just way too long. Curious if the stroke going one direction was what caused it.
It widens the truck a little with the +5 and makes it a little more stable. I personally think the +10 makes it look weird as it’s too wide for my taste
@@818_Custom_Garage ok good to hear , I like the nsdrc ones I've never had a reefs , just wanted to make sure you didn't find any issues with the nsdrc . Thanks
@@818_Custom_Garage So I can use the ProTek RC 370TBL servo and the Treal Hobby Losi LMT Aluminum Servo Saver (25T) with the Losi LMT Grave digger? Thank you
I just put a ProTek 300TBL servo into my Grave Digger today after my stock S614S died after a front impact. Love this truck!
That’s a good servo!!! Should be a great upgrade
Nice run through, thank you! This is exactly the info I was looking for. The real world NECESSITIES not just bling bling. 👍
Thank you for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it and it was useful

I don’t think they are a must. They are nice but the original plastic upper mounts are great
@@818_Custom_Garage Right on 👍 Thanks!
Cool video today 👍🏻 did you get round to the RCR brake spring mod on your Baja?

HELLO THERE IS THERE A DIFFERENCE PUTTING ON TREAL ALUMINIUM SPACERS + 5MM THEN STOCK ADAPTERS ?

@@818_Custom_Garage I need to find me some RC buddies
Hello, do you think I can swap the pivot balls (LOS244010) from the LMT on the Kraton 4S V2 for the ARAC3851 to eliminate the wobbly steering?
I’ve never looked at those. I did use the team associated pivot balls on the Kraton 4s and that was a great upgrade
@@818_Custom_Garage Thank you, I saw that in your other videos

I put a short end on one side. Plus you need to make sure you set your endpoints
@@818_Custom_Garage You just gave me some invaluable advice. I totally didn't set the end points.
@@robsp32 definitely try setting the end points and I also used the short end link on one side as well and it fit perfect
What size bolts do you use for limit straps
Depending on how you mount them. Usually is just a standard M3, do not remember the length.
HELLO THERE WHAT SIZE UNLIMITED STRAP IS ON SONUVADIGGER ????
They are the Hot Racing 110mm limit straps
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU PUT +10 OR PLUS +5 SPACERS ON THE LMT ?
It widens the truck a little with the +5 and makes it a little more stable. I personally think the +10 makes it look weird as it’s too wide for my taste
You have an nsdrc servo but you list a reefs?
Grave digger has a reefs and son uva digger has an rs800v2
Both are great servos
@@818_Custom_Garage ok good to hear , I like the nsdrc ones I've never had a reefs , just wanted to make sure you didn't find any issues with the nsdrc . Thanks
Does one body seem tougher than the other?
They seem the same to me, just a cool option. I’m trying to find a roller so I can have it on there.
Don't you have to use a 23T servo?
@@raydonovan7988 only if you use the stock servo saver which we are not using
@@818_Custom_Garage So I can use the ProTek RC 370TBL servo and the Treal Hobby Losi LMT Aluminum Servo Saver (25T) with the Losi LMT Grave digger? Thank you
@@raydonovan7988 most definitely
I also hate the eunber battery strap . It realy sucks
It’s the worst…haha. I either modify the stock mount but prefer using the Bowhouse low cg mount the most.
Dude..... the interruptions lol.....
It makes it fun!!! Haha
Kids be kids man...they don't know what they are doing lol
HELLO THERE IS THERE A DIFFERENCE PUTTING ON TREAL ALUMINIUM +5 SPACERS THEN STOCK ADAPTER ?
Stock adapter should be 0 offset so what you are doing is widening the truck by 10mm total by putting 5mm adapters each side :)
