I whole heartedly agree about the imperfections on the body. If one of the main selling points is the body then it should be practically flawless out of the box! That would have triggered my OCD for sure lol. You have a new patreon! Thanks for the content.

that thing looks like a lot of fun, but the small things like the body clips and the off center graphics turn me off it
Those are easy fixes. Dont let that discourage you from getting it. Its a fantastic truck
Removing and reapplying faded graphics that are off center is more of a tedious fix than an easy one.
What an awesome review of this RC rig, my man. Just so you know, I have heard the racers say at times that a double backflip is really tough to pull off and all, but you make it look super easy. Keep the videos going, brother.

Handling seems extremely good for being a solid axle monster truck. It even tends to rollover less than the Maxx out of the box. Good content.
Thats totally true. This is a lot more fun than the Maxx I think.
The MAXX is an engineers mistake. They want the consumer to upgrade to fix their mistake. Had I understood this, I would not have bought the MAXX. The MAXX Wide Kit is a FIX, not an upgrade. Traxxas should at least sell the Wide MAXX Kit for cost, not make money from a FIX.
@@robertwren2289 I think they were just trying to make a super tough RC that was a mini version of the Xmaxx. I think they achieved that goal, but the Xmaxx design does not work at that scale handling wise.
@@outsourcedrc, I'll have no choice but to get the Wide MAXX kit, but Traxxas should be ashamed of themselves for selling us a fix for the MAXX, and calling an upgrade.
@@robertwren2289 Well, to be fair, the Wide Maxx kit does make it handle better but easier to break.

I've been told that because of Covid-19, that quality assurance isn't as communicated as well as it should be. I heard this from a pretty reliable source. I guess only you can take this with a grain of salt, but it is a pretty good observation if you ask me. I also seen someone else had their fender wells cut incorrectly. I personally am not really concerned too much as I destroy bodies on my RCs, but it is definitely still disappointing.

Anybody that says your nitpicking about those decals and paint job is an idiot. If you don't have a charger and a battery already this RC is probably close to $1,000 if not more. That is totally unacceptable
Was on the fence about one of these truck, started watching got itchy so I went and got one. Looks so fun.
It really is a blast.

I agree 100% on the Body Paint looking off. These are not Cheap and it should be better. I will let you know when my comes in if its the same.

Love your videos! I really appreciate the in-depth unboxing and reviewing of the RC'S and also how you have a proper yard to run in! So many reviews out there just seem like commercials or advertisements but yours are genuine and it's easy to tell when you actually like something!

I have a funny feeling Losi and Arrma RC's come off the same assembly line. The packaging is awfully similar and so are the same sticker issues. Not to mention the electronics are basically the same.
They are both put out by Horizon hobby. I'm sure they are put together by the same people. It only makes sense.

You need to buy the Bluetooth module for your radio bro to take advantage of all the telemetry. "Smart technology" you can only see battery level without it
Just got to see one at my hobby store yesterday. With already having many Traxxas Trucks, which are some of the best on the market, not to mention that off centered body strip, I would never buy one of these. I get that it's in a different class, but if you have any of the Traxxas trucks, I'm not sure why you would want this truck other than its cool look. Thank you for reviewing it. I sure hope this was just a glitch with that body strip. If they're all like that, I would have to ask what is up with LOSI? It's about time you set up a Patron account. You deserve it, you're one of the best reviewers out there.
Well, a lot of bodies that are made this way have the same issue. Look at two traxxas bodies and you will see the stripes and patterns are not in the same place.
Axial? Do you mean Losi? The LMT is made by Losi.

@@paulclancy2404, You're right, but I own the best RC truck on the market, the XMAXX. No other RC truck can compare to that one yet. I did buy the Axial Jeep Gladiator, that crawler is right up there with anything Traxxas makes, not to mention it looks so cool after it's dressed up. The Losi Grave Digger is a great truck, and has a very cool look, but after already having other great RC trucks, I wouldn't spend money on it. But if I were getting started in RCs, I would want one. They need to work on fixing the strip issue tho.
@@robertwren2289 I tell you my stripe is straight but roof painting is crooked , I just took off the body to preserve because going get destroyed quickly, its very flimsy , as for xxmaxx thats what hear from everyone, I almost bought instead of the lmt , problem with xxmaxx is going be well over 1000 , to me dosen't compare in value to say the 5ive t , I drove stock one next to my set up kraton and just didn't have that wow factor or adrenaline from being so fast almost out controll , felt like a Cadillac next to. A corvette, I thinking bc stock electronics and stock low c rating batteries so I'd need a max 6 ect , always went two 8th scales instead or even a race kit which im working on but being rc collector so many you guys saying its best truck im bound to get one eventually.
Far as why woukd want this these are replicas of a real monster truck where traxxas is its own creation not even really a truck other than the body , just a big piece plastic on big wheels ,

I think the old Summit is a better over all truck. Not as fast but more capable. The exocage protects the body unlike this. The pretty body will be toast after 3 good runs

I'm glad I'm not the only one with the decals off center. Messing with my OCD. Lol. I don't actually have OCD, but I do like having a balance in most cases. I also agree with the body clips, but haven't yet heard of them being a problem. Just a side note and probably isn't a big deal, but Losi recommends running a 50c minimum lipo with these trucks. Not sure why or if it's just one of those little "ohh you didn't use what we recommended, so we can't warranty it" kind of things, but there may actually be a reason with this RC. I'm no expert and I'm not even sure, but I have witnessed certain circumstances where the recommendation actually plays a significant role. As I said in your other video, I will be using Smart 2s batteries but are already 50c.
I actually have OCD. Like, sometimes when I touch something like a light switch, I have to touch the other side so that its even.
You can actually mess up the electronics by running the wrong c lipo in some of these RC's. I just didnt have a choice in the matter if I wanted to run this Truck. My LHS has the battery I wanted on back order. I'll get a new one as soon as I can.
Glad to see your exploring other brands! Don't get me wrong I'm a big traxxas fan but I've recently been looking into the arrmas I just can't afford the ones I want right now lol

I'm pretty picky about the decals/body aswell. When you spend $600+ you expect it to not have flaws like that. Really disappointed in losi. Ive noticed alot of flaws with the first batch of lmt's. Especially on the son uva digger

@@hunterrobertson3488 I have the 1/16 scale e revo. I drive it inside. I got it to drive while I'm stuck inside sick or something. Its a mean little RC. You can upgrade it and its insane. Mine is just stock. They are a lot less expensive than they used to be.

It does do 35 mph. I took it out to the park. I didnt show that in the video. I'm going to make another because there is a lot of content I left out. I love this LMT. Very good truck

That reverse delay is to save your transmission. Those big tires will murder your gears if it wasn't there due to all the torque

Losi emailed me back that this is the replacement for the 3 XL-E. I swear I have the email from them.
They stated this is what their data showed we wanted.
I know it’s cool to introduce new vehicles, but to say this is the replacement for the 3 XL-E is ridiculous.
I hope you enjoy, but I will not be purchasing this at all.

I've never driven a 3 XL-E, but I have been a member of the solid axle monster truck scene for a while and people have been wanting one of these. Losi just cornered the market. Its a very smart move.

Cool video and cool car!! How does this compare to, lets say an Arm Granite BLX or a Big Rock. A different kind of MT, but the Grave Digger is also almost twice the price. So, what do you get for the extra $$?
I have not driven those others so I dont know how they compare. I do know that for the price of the LMT, you cant build a solid axle monster truck that performs as well as it does. I have over $1k in my SMT10 and this LMT is better than it is.

Yes you can. They still sell them brand new just like they did in the 80's. They are around $300 I think

Steering like a real monster truck. Especially after allThe other details they did.
I dont think it needs it. Plus, 4 wheel stearing on something this fast is useless. It will roll constantly unless you are going real slow. Rear stearing really throws the weight out to the outside.

Thanks! I made it. The whole RC is custom. I laid out the graphics and had MCI Racing print them out for me.

I've looked into it. Its super expensive or I don't meet the requirements for come of the companies, like having a million subs or something. I'm still looking to put out some merch.
Outsourced RC you could start smaller maybe? Stickers, baseball caps, t shirts, hoodies, lanyards. Branded tools. I don’t know the stuff that could be branded with your logo? Don’t know much of this side of things but it’s worth considering.

Yes, I would, but get a new one. They have made a few changes and fixed some of the problems with the earlier versions. The battery you want is a Spektrum 2s 5000 mah 100c Lipo. It can also use a 3s, but I honestly think thats too much power for this truck.

because I didnt have a connector and the hobby shop was closing and they only had time to put a connector on a battery they had. If I wanted to drive the LMT that day that was my only choice.
I'm waiting for the son uva digger to come in the mail. And I already know the faded decals on the side are gonna drive me crazy! It doesn't match the rest of the truck and I payed 930$ canadian for it!
Its a safety built in to esc to have that delay .
