Except for the fact that it's not pedophilia in any way, shape, or form. People throw that word around way too loosely without knowing what the word means. And on top of that they're only three years apart. Just because she's right under the age of consent doesn't mean it's wrong for them to be together. Law does not dictate nature.
The fact they didn't call it Trans4mers is a huge misstep in a series of missteps.

Micheal Bay didn't even bother to fix the green screens like he said. Why would he even give a minute of thought to the title.
I am from Hong Kong, and I remember when I watched it in theatre everyone laughed throughout the third cut cuz there is not a single shot that resembles the actual Hong Kong. It is kinda pathetic to see Hollywood still shooting Hong Kong and other Asian cities as if we were entirely fictional, but then hey, it is Bayhem we're talking about.

They couldn't shoot there. They had to mostly use sets in Chicago for most of the destruction seen in the film.

That Romeo & Juliet law scene... WHAT THE F*CK? Who the hell walks around with something like that? That's the weirdest bit I've seen in a Transformers movie in a while... and that's while remembering the scene with Sam's mom stoned on brownies.

Tanmey Saraiya It was unnecessary on different levels, too. Not only could they have just made the girl 18 instead, in the US most states have age of consent laws of 16 or 17.

@@munstrumridcully I believe there was an episode of How I met Your Mother that dealt with Barney or Ted almost getting together with a 17 year old. They made a big deal out of it considering in New York a 16 year old could date someone in their 50's with no legal repercussions. It is one of those things that producers get wrong in shows and movies because age of consent in California is 18.

That movie was so horrible I fell asleep about half way through. When I woke up they were in China, there were dinosaurs, there were a bunch of Megatrons and the villain was their ally.

Wait, so the entire marketing campaign is about the Dinobots, and they're barely in it? I guess it's kinda like the new Godzilla movie, but something tells me that Micheal Bay didn't do that out of restraint the way Gareth Edwards did.
The Dinobots survive the movie though, so they are to appear in the sequel. Hopefully with more screen time. Same goes for Galvatron.

read the coments above and you will find that its actually made to avoid weird stuff from happening ex: you have 17 and date someone 15 then na year later you turn 18! so with that law you basicly can still date if the age difference is 1-3 years
Where I live its 16 but its very rare for someone to get prosecuted for doing it with someone under that age if the gap isn't that large.

I think he means that it's fucked up that time was even wasted explaining that shit. It's a Transformers movie, not an episode of Law & Order. Just say the girl is 18 (or don't even mention her age at all) and avoid the whole thing.

The amount of copies it sells every year beg to differ. What is and isn't a good game is decided by the majority, not your own introverted opinion. It boggles my mind how this man has lasted this long in his career. He essentially has the same catalogue as M Night Shamylan. Both have only 2 critically aclaimed movies under their belts, yet Shamylan was black listed and Michael Bay gets to continue dropping one shitty film after another.
There's one major difference. Bay's movies make money (the benefits of adapting a popular franchise I suppose), Shyamalan's often struggle to.

Well, while Shyamalan is horrible all around, Bay most of the time counterbalances the bad characterization and script with some rather impressive action. No, he doesn't have a perfect run but you must admit 90% of the time Bay can direct an action scene like it's nobody's business. As action scenes are a huge staple of the summer blockbuster, that keeps him in his wheelhouse.

I've had the same complaint about every transformers movie. I hate not knowing what's going on during the big action sequences. It always just looks like big pieces of metal rolling around and explosions. If he could improve that I can deal with everything else.

Well if you put it in perspective to the others it shure is. Especialy considering the plotholes in this one and the one before with "pulling a whole planet into the orbit of earth" instead of transporting slaves onto that planet.
It would've been good without a) Michael Bay's shitty comic relief; b) Michael Bay's shitty character development; c) Michael Bay's shitty obsession with cluttered exploding messy action. If they did it cleaner and with minimal human involvement, it really would've been good. As it stands, it was just the best one in the series, but still a messed up opportunity.

I don't get why people still have high expectations for these movies. I went and saw it at the cinema as well, but not for ''the story'' No I just wanted to see some robots kill eachtohter off, some explosions, some nice cars and a hot chick. And those 5 minutes of Dinobots were a nice extra. The point is if Michael Bay brings out a movie, do not expect a story. The one thing you can be sure of is that there will be pointless, yet awesome explosions

Michael Bay might actually be smarter than the general public is being let on to believe. He is no Kubrick or Mallick, put it that way. However, people are coming back in droves to the next installment so he is doing something right.
Thats why i watched it, thats why the millions who like it go to see it. Transformers has been only view for its action. Its story isnt really bad but simplistic; there's no depth and doesnt need to be. W have the backbone of the situation between the autobots and decpticons and its quite straight forward. Main ppl hating the film are these cunts who grew up with cartoon and feel the films disrespect that (which isnt the case cause the og cartoons arent great like at all)

Not trying to start anything but they said that 2:52 was an unrealistic explosion, it actually is a real explosion. You can see them creating it and recording it in the behind the scenes footage.
