What sets your channel apart from so many others is that you explain why things are happening... like the use of granulated garlic (don't want to burn fresh garlic)... Those "throw away lines" are so valuable to us home cooks. Thanks for doing this, absolutely the best channel on RUclips.

Careful JP, you’ll burn the roof of your mouth! I’ve seen you taste many of your finished dishes… most, hot off the stove… you do the ‘dance’, waving your hands, making the ‘face’, and giving us the most amusing and talented chef on RUclips! Bravo! I love your channel!
It can be done, I had second degree burns that took two months to heal from a rice dish that was still steaming.
Chef, I love your videos. However, my doctor does not. He tells me that eating butter is going to kill me. Can you please include some recipes that contain more butter? If we're going to go out, we might as well do it while loving what we cook.
Have Chef to write you a note to your doctor.
Get a doctor that likes butter.
You need to watch is other video about butter! He shows Time Magazine's article that butter is good for you. Your Dr. is out of touch. My mom read that article when it came out, she was so mad that she had been killing herself with margarine all this time!

My Mother-in-law used lard and began cooking for her family when she was six. She passed last year at age 105. The only medication she took was Ibuprofen.

My grandmother always cooked in cast iron pans, and taught my brothers and me how to cook with them and that's the only thing I cook with now. I know this will come out fantastic when I cook it this weekend. Everyone use these non-stick but the original non-stick is cast iron. Love your instruction, and thank you for another delicious dish.
Agreed...with this recipe, cast iron will do this just right.
I only cook with cast iron too. And I just love using those pans.
Yall need to check out carbon steel pans. Basically a cast iron pan but just a bit thinner and not as heavy. Just as good with non stick and maybe even better browning. Either way, F non stick pans and go with metal.
@@jtoker9758 Yes, there are high carbon steel skillets that work like cast iron. Lodge has some good ones.

Chef, your recipes are always amazing. So who cares if you mention from time where you find ingredients for these superb dishes. I for one am thankful for the tips on tracking own items.
I completely love your instructions AND mistakes. As you say, it's not rocket science. It's cooking. When I make a mistake, I can just roll with it. Thank you for giving me a lot more confidence in the kitchen. You are the best teacher for a home cook and more.

Rosemary is thick with oils now, unusual for it being so rainy but that are getting lots of sun too. My sage was real stinky too.
I plan to try it with spinach. So many carbs though.🥴
@@rosameryrojas-delcerro1059 Yep, just do make it often. The most important part is has he soaks a squeezes the potato. That is not is the recipe so I ended up with mush that took forever, an hour or two, maybe longer, to cook at all.

Watching you cook has changed the way I cook so much. It’s not what you cook but the technique and such. It’s all good, so very good.
My very good friend made this for us and it was absolutely fantastic! The plate and towel trick was a must do.
Not in the recipe either, always re-watch while having a printer recipe and fix them with the real instructions.
It cracks me up when you try to talk with hot food in your mouth, and the camera is still rolling. It’s just too good! 😂

You forgot to mention baked potatoes with plenty of butter!
💕 Love any potatoes. Saw a cool idea online, tried it and was very good. If you are peeling russet potatoes don't throw away peels. Rinse, heat up oil in pan, I used cast iron, and fry them up crisp w salt, pepper and whatever...very good!

Had to try making this after I saw the video. It came out really well and I couldn't thank the great Chef Jean Pierre for the great videos he puts out. He is really the only chef who explains each recipe in great detail and how each step is crucial in the final result. Love this guy.

I do it just like you did and I BURNED the roof of my mouth . I mean Chef Jean , HOW DO YOU DO IT??? How do you not burn the ROOF of your mouth??? Or do you burn the roof of your mouth and just do not tell us so. LOL . Super Chef with a Super Mouth. Invincible with the heat of the food you cook and eat so quickly. Ahhhhh that must be it. LOL. You got me there Chef Jean. I cannot master eating immediately and NOT burning the roof of my mouth. For that you are the KING of the Chefs. LOL.
