After Charlie's neighbor Myles gave him a new Chevy Silverado pickup truck, Charlie decides he needs a new boat to tow behind it. Charlie finds the perfect "new" fishing boat on Craigslist and quickly learns the difficulties of owning a boat. - Приколы
This man bought a boat just to make a Johnson joke and i applaud him for it
Yanking on my Johnson. Trying to get it started
Hell right
You can also "crank up the Evinrude".
I like my johnson, it's not too big and not too small, its the perfect size and gets the job done
@@brandonhilligas7648 that’s what she said
The most unrealistic part of this was when someone called Charlie out for having a beer on the boat. You're in WI. Beer is our water
that’s true. in wisconsin it’s against the law to operate a boat without a beer in you hand
Have affectionately said for years: "It's not a boat ride til there's beer in the boat" every time someone spills.
i feel like an astronaut here in Austin Texas... bringing my life support (beer) with me in this strange yet familiar new planet. but i can tell which ones are aliens cuz they have blond mustaches and wear silly clothes while cycling
Fishing for bottlebass!
It's legal to drink operating a boat. You just can't be drunk.
The two best days of being a boat owner:
- the first day
- the last day
Especially in the Midwest.
I was looking for this comment!
@@pammiasmr9068 So was I... 😆
@@crackjack8320 that's what I was thinking. After getting her dialed in and going from 0 to a hundred MPH pinned to the seat, now THAT is the best day, or maybe it's blowing whatever "fast" boat on your lake out of the water.. nothing like a lightweight hi performance V6 2-stroke outboard powered boat to get the adrenaline pumping!
@@BabyCharlotteschannel word?
“Got more standing water in my basement” that one both hurt and made me laugh at the same time
I'd like to see "Standing water." My water just lays around.
Lol
Omg I saw you guys filming this! I was out with my boat, this is big muskego and the wind lake access launches. I wish I would've looked closer and saw who it was. Tell your folks I says Hi. 😃
Big M would’ve tore that boat up 😂
Watch for deer
I love these first time videos
I love u, how about that?
the Wisconsinness goes off the charts everytime
Ope
i love you dad
Fancy seeing you here
Used to work at a marina in SoFla, always loved watching the guys who can’t back a trailer. Once saw a guy back up down ramp, slammed brakes to dislodge the boat as he was alone. Boat came off all right, floated away and he had to jump in and swim to boat!
"it looks like rain"
"no it doesn't"
"yes it does" with the bright sun and clear sky reflecting off his sunglasses
The rain was coming from his eyes

@@dabisnit My thoughts exactly!
“It’s couple inches, I got more water in my basement”
One storm I got home and just walked down and had like 2 feet but had a drain that went to the yard ( on a hill ) the cat carrier was circling it. I looked up and my cat was on the dryer like WTF is happening!!!! I said see you in the morning bud.
I could relate to far too much of that. At least you didn't toss in the anchor before it was tied to the boat.
That's in part 2
Done That before. in Like 70-80 feet of water She gaWN.
We’ve done that before! On our very first trip on our very first boat…. And then we ran out of gas in the middle of a narrow, busy shipping lane and had to call mayday! How embarrassing!
been there 😂
it's been tried
Went down a river in an aluminum boat with a trolling motor. Battery died halfway back to the ramp so we just used our rods and kept casting into the reeds to pull us along.
Launched my brand new boat up in Waukegan, immediately the auto bilge starts. All the experienced fisherman are staring at me and ask if my drain plug was in. I wanted to drive away and never come back.
Same here, not once but twice 😒
O i have 4 sure done that 1 or 3 times ...I seem 2 always blame my buddy's who went out with me for not seeing it lol ..I have had 2 do many circles around the ramp 2 get water out
Living in Vegas I do miss boating. Thanks Charlie.
come on back real quick
Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, Lake Powell, Lake Havasu all within a 4-hour drive.
... they have lakes there. LOL

By the time you get through the line you'll have to go so bad it won't be a problem. But yeah, there is constant ribbing going on all the time. No place for a shy bladder.
I thought he was talking about the urinal troff and 20 guys shoulder to shoulder all taking a leak together and zero privacy
Reminds me of my first boat I picked up last year. Shes a 1979 14 foot sea nymph with a 1987 mercury 25 hp outboard. Ended up naming her the Lil Guppy.
"Where are the oars?" **cuts to oars in the bed of the pickup** 🤣🤣🤣
I genuinely enjoy this guys channel and I’m not even from the Midwest. Dude makes me laugh and feel like I know these people lol.
Hey Charlie. I work on those boats and motors all the time. It looks like she may need a little work 😂. You probably new that. But I would replace the wood on the transom, replace the water pump impeller in the motor, the spark plugs in the motor, and the gear oil for sure. Those pressure tanks are not dangerous at all. It’s been a myth for awhile. I won quite a few of the pressure tank motors and never had any issues. I’m sure you can catch ya a few Walleyes on the SS Ope! Best of luck, Seth.
My husband and I work on marine engines and the first time boat owners always crack us up!!! You certainly hit it on the nail!
That moment when someone realizes that boat is an acronym. Bust Out Another Thousand.
The boat repair people crack me up.
Lamborghini talking to a Ford pickup kind of shit. You ain't special.
Try greasing that zert thing.

"yea im drinking, how else am i supposed to come up with a solution to my current predicament?"
I got a call from my parents yesterday because they drove the boat down the river to a pub, only for dad to decide he could do some outdrive maintenance whilst bored, resulting in the engine packing up. So I drove down there in my little boat...of course I did remember to get fuel....after 3 hours at the pub another friend comes by, and tows both boats back up stream. Over 7/10 good day out
"Whilst" - so glad to see this word being used by today's RUclips crowd, and used properly as well...wonderfully done, good sir.
That's a classic little boat. Great score.
I love this guy. Some of his humour is so subtle your mind might be stuck on the last joke and miss the next one.😍
this is perfectly spot on, 10/10
Being an old river rat, I prefer flat bottoms. They’re easier for running trot lines. But the Ope looks solid. Have more fun than trouble.
I like that: "Have more fun than trouble." This will be my new catch phrase with which to annoy friends and family for the summer - thanks!
@@Mark723 Yer welcome.
You have serious talent in how you put these videos together. Easy to miss all the rapid-fire jokes. Great stuff!
That's me backing a trailer. I can either get it first time when no one is watching or in 73 tries with an audience at which point I unhitch it and push it into place.
Thank you Charlie , memories of Devils lake and fox lake as a 10 year old in a 14' with a '46 5 hp Evinrude flying around the lake . I felt like a king those days . I love Wisconsin!
“It’s like taking your first child home from the hospital... time to see if it floats”
Just picked up my new boat today and this video popped out.
pro tip don't put beer in your battree box
Well, Charlie did remark that it's a real nice Johnson...
You can’t ignore me forever. Let’s make some brats.
That'd be the best collab, make brats out of cheese curds.
In starting to think all my youtube is somehow connected in one great freemason esque group
Yes, some nice Johnson-villes... 🌭🤭
Just imagine a collab between Mr. Sausage, Charlie, and Florida Charlie
This pretty much has to happen.
that was the most honest boat video I've ever seen....
You know after being a boat owner for two weeks now, I can definitely relate to testing the jack knife capabilities lol the first day was bad. So much easier when no one is watching
“Who puts beer in the battery box?” 😂😂
Who doesn’t?
Might be useful for empties and trash. Those old Johnson's were pull starts, no battery required. Grew up in 1960/70''s with my Dad's from the 1950's. Also a Mercury. The forgetting to put the plug in thing, ya my Dad forgot that too, good thing he had a smart daughter like me to jump in and take care of it!
Love this channel just recently found it.
Looks like you had a boatload of fun with this one! 😆

@@letsgobrandon3514 yeah, I though of the comment when I saw the title. Had to share! 😂😂😂

Better than most SNL skits!
there is a guy in Florida who could get that engine running like new.
Goes back to get beer, STILL skips the life jackets 😂
Valuing quality over quantity of life. 👌🏼
Absolutely love that boat! It’s a classic.
I’ve been a technician at a marina for 11 years. This video is spot on.
Looking forward to seeing da rattle-can paint job on da SS Ope, and ya missed da White Bass run season der bud, but da Perch are bitin'! Tell yer folks I says hey.

Thanks for your videos! They are funny as heck!
Love your editing style!
This is so funny. My recently retired husband recently purchased his first fishing boat. Considering the cost of things, we just got our foot in the door of the Bass Pro Shop and purchased a Tracker 170 with a 50 hp motor. Wish us luck. 😅
You're concerned about the cost of things and you bought a brand new boat?!
@@chad1755 of course Chad. When you own a house on the lake, and recently retired a boat is a must have. Admittedly, boats are not cheap, but we’re going fishing today.
@@maryrudelich9000 What I mean is you bought a NEW boat -- as opposed to buying a used boat. You could have bought a used boat that was twice as capable, and half the cost of buying new. And just as reliable.
Basically what I'm saying is nobody buys a new boat vs used if they're concerned about the cost of things, lol.
I'll also say that I own a lake house as well -- and ours is accessible by water only -- so I know something about boats being a "must have", lol.
@@chad1755 It was my husband’s choice. As a diesel mechanic of 40 years, he’s lost interest in maintaining anything, except the minimum oil and filter changes. You could say that he bought the guarantees for optimal performance.
So true!!! Even when you get a different new boat it kinda starts all over. Love your videos!!! :)
That boat looks 100 times better than the ones I see on craigslist
We've all seen this in real life and it never fails to be hilarious. And Ive never done anything like this. Or dumped an antique upright piano in the middle of busy intersection while it was still tied to the truck and the drag it on through while people honked their horns and clapped. Nope, never did that.
Im a 3rd time boat owner tomorrow.
I love that boat. It's not an accident it has lasted this long.
So Myles helping you and your wife "adopt" is canon now (per the reference to the truck). Congratulations on the new baby! Always good to adopt.
Pure genius, this guy.
Hey der Charlie. Real good job on dat video and all da udder ones. As a wise one said,"unfortunately I lack the emotional capacity to say I love yous so ill just end by saying, watch out for deer."

Love "allergies"...awww...😉
@@CharlieBerens Yous gotta stop choppin onions when reading da comments.
In my in-laws family though, saying "watch out for deer" is considered taboo - a jinx. Guarantees they'll hit one. They live in far northern Dunn co. with WAY more deer than we had in west Dunn co. and esp. when I was growing up, before it got more built-up around there &/or less were hunted, we rarely saw em when I was little ( 80s, 90s ) if you didn't get out on tractor much, esp. . So, I didn't know and just knew my husband had hit a lot back in the day, ( and his brother in law does nowadays ) and that they are plentiful up at my in-laws, so I'd say that there 😁😁. My MIL would turn to me, aghast !

That was the funniest line 🤣
this is such an underrated Channel
Year #1: Glorious year of pontoon. On the water all the time. Fam is like heey. We're like acourse. Year #2: Dock is broken from fam accidentally ramming pontoon into dock. They sorta admit beer was involved. Also, pontoon is dented on one side, which is why snow cover no longer snaps on. Year #3: Upholstery shot thanks to snow piling up underneath pitiful attempt to snap on cover. Year #4 through #9: From bad to worse for boat and deteriorating dock. Year #10: Sell pontoon AND dock for parts. Moral of the story? DO NOT MARRY A MAN WITH FIVE BROTHERS. Keep 'er movin'. :-)
You you betcha I be needing more dem vids on dat boat
Hey der guy, I'm loving some of dat der content ya got going! Keep 'Er Movin'!
Hey Charlie. I see ur in Eagle River tomorrow. I live in the town just outside of it. Wanted to see u but missed getting tickets. Have a great show!
Lol, just like the urinals at Lambeau! 😂

I love using the launch at Boxhorn Gun Club on Muskego Lake!
SS OPE perfect!
Awesome boat, and the best motor will ever have.
Oh my god the inability to turn the boat in front of people being the same as not being able to use urinal on game day… that hit me
That's a real nice truck der guy!
The most accurate part is the crowd forming to watch. One of the boat launches at my lake is next to house, and the homeowners just sit in their yard and watch beginners try to launch their boat
Great video always makes me laugh
That was really good and funny. Thanks
Sweet boat der guy! Wish I had the boat plug threaded from the inside option, it sucks haffen ta go in da lake when its cold!
Loving the Ombraz shades there guy
I needed a laugh today! As always thank you Charlie! How many beers would it take to get a ride in da boat there guy?
Make sure to rebuild your hubs on the boat trailer, i was a first time old boat purchaser last year. I had to air arc the old beat up spindle out and cut the suspension entirely off my trailer. Have fun!
At least you leave the motor down and damage the fin and the prop as you drive up the ramp. I did that
Boxhorns and wind lake canal launch. I was like wow that looks familiar haha
Replace fuel tank, install fuel pump, replace wood parts with new wood, clean up and tune up engine... job done. It'll run reliably for another 50+ years as long as you maintain it. :-)
That boat is gangster 👍🍻
That’s actually a pretty cool old boat.
How to back a boat trailer. look in the side mirror and turn your steering wheel towards the back of the boat that gets out of line. After some practice keeping it going straight back you can start turning the boat the way you want.
That boat is awesome!
i had a 15 foot , 1959 glassbar, fiberglass on wood boat , with a 1962 evinrude lark engine , so the lil windshield and steering wheel , like that , named her "Taobnikcufecin" and i loved that freakin boat , ran her in 3 different states , oh plus confusion , so 4 count em 4 states and had massive future plans for her , was gonna put on oar locks , an adjustable removable keel and sail ... but i started taking care of someone else's family , needed the parking space at the apt and i couldn't even give her away ... broke my heart ... oh and one time we were at the end of the harbor , so open ocean and the spark plug fouled , after already havin been out a couple hours soo ... so no hurry to try and clean the plug , so we were drifting back in the harbor slowly and i wanted to speed up the process , so i put a kids kite on the end of the fishin pole and let out a good hundred yards and the wind was goin the right way and we made it back to the dock ... so everyone who says , the best daze of boat ownership are the first and last , i call bull , the best daze were all the adventures in between
That boat is wonderful.
Dude! That swimbait looked sick! 👀
