Great video Paul. Although I've been taking pics for 50 years I have learned so much from you about digital photography over the last year. Denoise is incredible and has prompted me to shoot manual with auto ISO without having to worry so much about noise.
Thank you Paul for the informative video. I do a lot of sports photography and suffer from low quality lighting at many stadiums so I'm using a high ISO setting. Much like your example. Although I post many of my images on social media and the quality isn't as important, the local newspaper uses some and I can see the digital noise in the images. Using this feature may enable me to send the newspaper a much cleaner image.👍
LrC AI denoise is un-frickin-real!!! Manual mode with auto ISO is going to be my goto mode for interior ambient light! It removed ALL noise at ISO 6400 for on my Canon R6m2 today.
Holy cow! That goalie fix was incredible! Some of my long exposure night photography shots do tend to suffer from noise even though I try to keep iso low as I can. Can’t wait to try this new feature! Thanks for sharing this!
@@photogenius i got it when they had a special on , I got Denoise Ai, Sharpen AI and Gigapixel AI, and they are a plug into Lightroom which makes life so much easier, LRC creates a copy then when Topaz is finished it adds the corrected file to the LRC library. Totally worth the $200 i paid for it
Agree 100%... but great to have more options and particularly useful for anyone who can't rely on a tripod (sports photographers for example). Thanks for your continued support.
Paul - Thank You for sharing this!!! I'm not currently a LR/PS user, but this may well convince me. I like the idea of the ISO push being available as needed, but both the other 2 elements of the triangle and a tripod to me are part of my methodic approach to composure and thinking about the image and its message as a whole.
I have changed my whole perspective on ISO and noise. 1st, I learned than on my R5, 400 is as good a 100 so I now use that as my base ISO (from a chart on the noise levels of each which was super helpful), second I can usually alway deal with the noise if I need to, but focus and exposure not so much. I shot a bunch of indoor car photos at 1600 and 3200 and in the end really saved me getting workable bits from the camera.
Hi Paul, that Denoise sounds great, it can be a real lifesaver to reduce noise. Good on you Adobe great feature. If I'm not pressed for time i will always use a Tripod. Apart from keeping the ISO low i can keep my Shutter Speed low as well, producing good clean pictures. You are right Paul when you said It's not an excuse to be a lazy photographer. Sometimes time doesn't permit us to use a Tripod. Thanks for sharing this video, i learned something new.
Thanks for the great feedback, Denoise is certainly going to be a big help for many (myself included) as there are plenty of times (and places) where tripods may be impractical.
I have been using Topaz DeNoise and find it very helpful, but would be interested in seeing a side-by-side comparison of the two products. Is there any possibility that you might do one in future?
Already using this AI feature to save my ass on my first paid event shoot where some relatives really wanted photos together in horrible lighting. I'm a professional storyboard artist and AI is scary for us. It's a tool that will help us do so much more. The fear is we just won't be needed. Directors spend a lot of time explaining the shots to us when they could just explain to AI.
I hope that we can all find some benefits and work alongside AI, it certainly is going to be an interesting future for creatives. Thanks for watching Zack 🙂
Great informative video Paul! I only use Photoshop Elements 23 along with Topaz Denoise AI and am quite pleased with both. I use the manual setting on my Canon R7 and only shoot in RAW format. As usual, I try to get my photos as sharp as possible so I never have to overdo the edits. Recently, a photographer friend suggested I use auto ISO, something I had never tried. The subjects were tiny birds, and they were quite difficult to photograph, given that they were in a mixture of sunlight and shade. I had to delete all of my photos taken on that day as the ISO had been pushed up to 10,000 on all of them. It was not a good experience at all. I would appreciate your thoughts on this, or that of any of your followers who had this experience. Thank you! Cheers!!
Hi Claire, Auto ISO can be really handy in certain situations. It might be worthy noting that you can (on most cameras) set a limit to how far the ISO will go (when using Auto ISO), I'm pretty sure this is a feature on the R7, but you will need to check the menu options. Best wishes.
Amazing functionality. Makes APSCs semi-viable now. There were events I took my camera when a tripod and flash were not viable so I had to crank my ISO up. Waste of money getting an APSCs but I guess I won't feel as annoyed now with denoise.
APSCs aren't even that bad, the cheap ones may not be that good. The APSC that I have, the Canon 760D is pretty good, I can go up to 6400 without terrible grain
Good video Paul and thanks for sharing it.
Thank you so much Lyn.
Very good advice Paul great images and what a difference! Especially with the goalie, 👍
Great work mate. Keep it up 😊
Thank you so much, appreciate the support.
Always useful information that I need. 👏👏
Thank you.
Great stuff. Makes my ancient 550D somewhat usable again.
😃
Photo Genuine Helps us alot ❤😊
¡Gracias!
Thank you for your support 👏👏😀
It's nice to see you pushing this software as far as you can and enjoying the process as you were doing it.
I did have fun making he video, I might have to go beyond ISO 64000 just for fun.
Great Video
Thanks 😀
I recently found this feature in Lightroom. I kept hearing your voice saying “ISO. Keep it low”
Great vid 👍
Thank you kindly Kevin.

Just wow!

Thanks for the support and great feedback.
i use luminar Neo ant they came out with a denoise feature upgrade and it works really well , great video keep up the good work
nice
Thank you Matthew.
Hi Paul, great tutorial. I would love to see how this would work with an astro photograph.
I'm thinking about giving that a go this week, If I get the chance I will post some pics on Instagram.
Do you have tutorial on Astro photography
Brilliant tutorial and very clever software. Thanks Paul.
I prefer to use Topaz Labs AI software to get rid of Noise and add sharpening
Not had the opportunity to try that yet. Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful video like always Paul 👌👍
Thank you so much for the support Miguel, so very much appreciated.
Paul
That goalie picture was a big difference, compared to the original.
Yep, it's crazy how good it is. Thanks for watching.
I love adobe's new AI denoise it's saved a fair few shots of mine. A good graphics card is needed though as it uses that to process the image.
I love the words Lazy Photographers 😅😊
Paul, thank you for bringing "Denoise" to our attention! Great video!
You are very welcome Shayne, thanks for the support.
Thanks Paul very interesting test 👍 as usual still learning from you. 😊
Hasn't this feature been available for a very long time now?
Hi Paul. This sounds like a great way to recover a photograph but for sure no excuse for sloppy technique
Agree 100%... but great to have more options and particularly useful for anyone who can't rely on a tripod (sports photographers for example).
Thanks for your continued support.
Merci, a very helpful video.

This certainly gives us more options, great for hand held photography.
Hi Paul. Have you tried DXO Raw and if so what are your thoughts compared to LR. Cheers Ben
I have not tried DXO Ben.
I still try to keep it low, im just a bit more lenient with it.

ive been using the denoise .. it does an amazing job, dont think i would like to try to use it on a slower old PC
I certainly think an older computer would struggle, or take ages!
Thanks for watching Bob.

Hi David, I might take a look at Topaz DeNoise in the future, I have heard good things.
