For me, this song is exactly what defines "Ankimo." It brings back memories of the Touhou series.
Perhaps it's the combination of melancholic melodies reminiscent of old J-pop and the high-speed performance with a sense of urgency, characteristic of Japan metal. LOVEBITES and X JAPAN have many such songs as well. In the case of BABYMETAL, songs like "AKATSUKI" and "ARCADIA" come to mind.
The high-speed performance, such as the unison between Jinya and Jill in the latter part of the solo section of this song, is truly breathtaking when experienced live.

❤🤘 Fuki 💗 !!!! she is the main reason I have given this band so many listens it is not one of my favorite styles /genres but as I have said before she could sing in a Polka band and I would like it for her part lol . I cannot wait for her to return to DOLL$BOXX . If what I have read is true that will be happening soon hopefully for more than just one show . do not get me wrong I do not want Gacharic Spin or Unlucky Morpheus to end only for some new DOLL$BOXX it was always just a side project after all .

Im not sure if you saw the news, but the Death Metal project by Shiren was announced, called Unholy Orpheus, and is releasing some material soon. Even with Fuki doing some vocal work. Its everyone from UM just playing heavier stuff

Jill's violin just reminded me, since you're a Babymetal fan, I wonder if you've seen some stuff by soLi? I came across them by way of Jill's recent TONERICO coop. It's a project of Hoshino Saori with ISAO. They feature many guest musicians, like a certain BOH on bass. Good stuff, I'd recommend soLi - Snatcher, it gives me some Animals As Leaders vibes almost. Interestingly it's mixed and mastered by Unlucky Morpheus according to the credits, didn't know they did that :)
Also Serene Evil is a cool song, and I'm pretty sure Fumiya is well known. Just watch some live stuff of his stint with Galneryus (Ultimate Sacrifice live is quite epic). Fumiya's a beast. I do agree though that Ogawa seems to be quite content to be a more "background" bassist. He's holding it down mostly, which is rather important, but maybe not too glamorous. He does have a few cool solo parts, and I do admit I haven't checked into his other stuff. Pretty sure i read that he has a background in jazz.

Ogawa used to be in a trio called Trick Box with the late Fujioka Mikio of the Japanese Kami Band and is a member of The Charm Park, who back singer-songwriter Charm (J-pop rock with some twiddly stuff at times, they've also done a few anime themes in the past). His earliest influence and reason for picking up bass was J from Luna Sea, his older brother was massively into the band and hearing them through the wall between their bedrooms the bass really stood out to Ogawa. Before he met Shiren he'd never really listened to much metal, so has quite a wide range of influences.
I'd also say that Jinya the younger guitarist gets overshadowed by Shiren's much 'louder' onstage persona, despite a more versatile guitarist than him these days. By point of reference the fact that Benedict forgets even to mention him when going through the list of band members. Fuki, Shiren & Fumiya's drumming are the most long established elements of the band; but in my opinion Jinya & Jill's contributions are what pushed the group from being some Toho/anisong side project fun into a full-time concern for all the members.
