Great to just hear this song without someone singing along with it. Music the language of Love. Beautiful rendition on steel guitar. Thanks for sharing. 🎶❤️
David You've nailed that one BIG TIME! Great tune and even greater playing. The time you spent tweaking that pup did wonders for that JUSTICE. This is the DAVE HARTLEY SOUND !! we enjoy so much..Please keep them coming!! Roy in Nova Scotia
David, You are such a great player!! You make it look so effortless. You inspire a beginner to stick with trying to learn the PSG...Very Grateful for your talent and willingness to make these videos for all of us to, not only enjoy listening to but, learn from them also. I have always said, " You don't have a talent unless you are willing to share it and help someone who is trying to accomplish what you already know, so again Thank you for sharing and doing your part to keep the PSG Alive!!!
David, now you have re-captured the great tone and sound...even better than before The Justice guitar with that pickup is the perfect marriage. Something about clarity and "body" of that sound is just right. I wouldn't change a thing after this. Bent
Dave, if Angels play Pedal Steel, then this is what it sounds like. Just stunning. Sacramento Chuck your most favorite fan in the whoooole world!. Hey, it's over. Gotta go listen to it again. Later Friend.
Keep it up you'll soon be good.. !!!!....Cant beat it thanks David Remind me to buy you a beer when you come to North Walsham....When you comming by the way..???
Dave, there must be hundreds , if not more steel players who would love to have your answer to the question posted by GreyPedalSteelPlayer. It would be a cherished contribution, if only to know what we might strive for...if our talent and money should somehow miraculously come together in the future. Thanks
Scorpiusclaw--ruclips.net/video/zTQkUqHAxdA/видео.html Here's Lloyd and another steel player on Secret Love--it's really slow, like half the speed that David plays it. Like David's version better.
David, could you tell me very basic from wire to wire from point a to point b of how you have your equipment hooked up. Please include psg , pedals, rack, ipad , recorder, and anything else I may have left out. I just don't know where to put things in my chain and what should be hooked to input or outputs. I would like to know how you play a backing track and how to record and get my playing of the PSG and the backing track together. I'm embarrassed to ask all of this, but I just don't know.
I do suppose that David Hartley is the only player that can come close to Lloyd Green's phrases and tone. In some cases it sounds EXACTLY like Lloyd. I will tell you that it is NOT easy to mimic Lloyd. He makes it look so easy, but it "AINT," by any stretch of the imagination.
Thanks for letting me hear this song
