- Originally from the now closed American Adventure Theme Park in Derbyshire, Wipeout opened in it's new home at Pleasurewood Hills in 2007. The ride is a standard Vekoma Boomerang featuring 3 inversions forwards followed by 3 backwards.

I remember this ride being my first ever major rollercoaster when I was around 7 or 8 when it was the Missile at the American Adventure! Nice to see its still in use today! Would love to ride it again and relive my childhood one day! :D
+Gemma Thomas Such a fun ride
This was mine to but it was at this exact location
Gemma Thomas same except I was 8 3 years ago
Ma5on does stuff, same
Yes hi Gemma I just subscribed 2u
It's super ride!👍🇬🇧👍
I went on this ride about 30 times in one day, my neck and back were killing me for the rest of the week
And now it is the UK's only remaining Boomerang Roller Coaster, I can't wait to get the credit for Wipeout in April.
East Midlands Videography Drayton manor has a boomerang coaster
I had the credit when I was 7
Leo’s Nature Show no there isn’t
There are a bunch of boomerang coasters in the us lol both of the six flags parks that are in ny have one
@@hffdssh same
Never been on any roller coast till this one at Pleasurewoods Hills. Funny enough I wasn't nervous nor scared. Boy did I enjoyed it. As I came off my legs were like jelly.
Sadly with the boomerang being taken down at pleasure island, wipeout becomes the only one of this type of boomerang coaster left in the UK.
interceptor1986 no Drayton manor
I live about 7 miles from Drayton Manor & there is no Vekoma Boomerang at that park. There is a stand up coaster called Shockwave & a prototype Vekoma family coaster called Accelerator - but that has no inversions & is much smaller & family friendly. Sadly the Boomerang at Pleasurewood Hills is the last one in the UK. There were Boomerangs at Butlins, Pwhelli, Wales, West Mids Safari Park, Kidderminster & of course Wipeout at Pleasurewood Hills was once The Missile at The American Adventure.
Is that the red one?
@@somegameplayiguess3833 you’re thinking of g-force one with a inverting lift hill which is now closed.
I came here with my friends last month and I’d never been on wipeout before so I was very scared to go on it as I’ve never been on an upside down rollercoaster but I actually loved it! Although when going backwards, when we dropped I did hit the back of my head on my seat so I’d advise everyone to keep their head pressed against the seat! But apart from that it was a fun ride
SAME
The speed ot the beggining is terrifying
Going here tomorrow with my friends first time actually I can't wait! Also love this channel
Thank you for loving my comment
I went on this so many times in the late 80’s when it was The Missile at the American Adventure park. Loved it!! Would like to go on it again for nostalgia!
The closest I'll ever be to going on a ride with a loop in it.
edit: the update we’ve been waiting for- i went on this coaster 4 times today. i guess after 2 years i finally conquered my fear
wooo congrats!!!
I went today and on the ride I almost died of heart attack
Lol
Jeez it’s only a vekoma boomerang
Harry Foley people are scared of coasters
I actually passed out on wipeout
@@beanz_whatthe430 omb I hope ur ok
I went on this the other day, and that was the most exiting first looped coaster of my entire life!!
I'm going here in a few weeks! I thought by the sounds of things it would have kiddie rides and I've always been scared of roller coasters that go upside down, but now I'm starting to like them and have been on a couple randomly and I CAN'T FRICKING WAIT TO GO ON THIS!
I loved this ride, i went on it 7 times in a row on a school trip. Id definitely recommend
Went on this when i was ten, best day of my life!
This was the first Rollercoaster I ever went on when it was called The Missile at The American Adventure 17 years ago! Glad to see it being looked after since it got moved!
This was my first loopy coaster, and I have to say its very bumpy and jolty but still my favourite
IM GOING HERE TOMMOROW :D
Amelie May sAME
Wipeout is so good I went on it 4 times. And the one that goes up super slow and goes down fast, I went on that 11 times 😂
Imogen Mai Barker ikr I was in front and I like oh crap
i have been on this ride in 3 locations....west midlands safari park ,american adventure ,and pleasurewood hills.still good!
This was my big first roller coaster when I was a kid,I was terrified but went on it again an again! Brings back memories ❤
The very first time I rode the Wipeout was the only time I had actually screamed on an extreme based roller coaster, well that was when the train went backwards, because it went so fast and the fact that I had never rode an extreme based roller coaster where the track goes upside down before at the time.
This is such a great ride
Guys who else is still crying about the rattlesnake being removed ?
lickmy socksx Yep. Still.
They replaced it with the egg eggpress
Me but there’s a easter one but that’s boring :/
@@georgiamartin1767 yh
It is still there though
Holy shit.. A few years ago I never had the courage for this ride but now, I will do it, despite the video alone scaring the shit out of me.
did you do it
Marisa Singh i did it today
eilishdotexe cool well done :)
I always used to be jealous of my siblings being able to go on it when I was younger but my god I would never go on that!
I'm coming here with my school soon!! Can't wait to go on Wipeout.
... don't sit at the back
I did

Tyler and Josh Panic at the disco benjamin britten?
It's so great that Theme park Worldwide still hearts and reads comments even from old videos! Best coaster channel out there :)
Thank you!
I remember I went on it and later that night when I was lying in bed it felt like I was going upside down.
yes! this happened to me the night after i went to alton towers, i thought it was just me and my sensitivity towards coasters - but clearly not! my head was pounding all night and my stomach was churning like when you go upside down..
Hi, If im right i believe that this started as the Coca Cola roller from the Glasgow garden festival 1988.
It brings back so many memories i was 15 and and my Aunty Anne was the only one who would take me on it.
all the best.
Went on this yesterday for the first time. First ride I went on at 10.15am!!
when i was little i always went on the rattlesnake
sad to see that its gone
So happy that the American adventure might be opening it's only 3min drive from my house!
i went when i was 8 and when i was 13 last year it’s so scary and i had my eyes closed most of it and my head looking down because i was so scared to look what was happening
Brooo where you actually 8?
@@husnainshah443 yea my brother forced me on and i past the height thing so they let me on it was the scariest thing of my life
@@harryplaysroblox9255 woahhh that's actually crazy!!!!!
I went on dis 3 times today and omg! It’s now my fav attrac!
This video makes me shiver
This was my first loop ride, safe to say i was traumatised 😂
I went on at the start of June, and since I've heard bad things about boomerangs, down the drop I shouted
"WHY VEKOMAAAAAA"
I wen’t on that yesterday it was amazing!!!
That's the only ride I won't go on!!
It's amazing I went on it 12 times yesterday
Cate Harvey Year 7 mako?
This is one of my favourite rides ever
I've always been reluctant to go on the WipeOut but after seeing that and being like, "Woah I'm getting a weird feelin in ma stomach" i'm actually contemplating whether going on it or not now.
Just been on this two days ago as I was staying at Haven Hopton. Great coaster but it does bang about a bit. Pulls some seriously good Gs though for an old coaster.
To be honest then sometimes the oldest coasters are the most forceful! I mean just look at all the worlds Schwarzkopf coasters.
DrDewott Very true. When I first went to Busch Gardens Florida in 99, I rode the Python coaster with two corkscrews. For an old coaster built in the 70's it was still great
Wipeout was the first rollercoaster I went on that did a loop
Looks awesome
I went on today with my school (I’m under. 14 years of age) AND IT WAS SO COOL!!
I went on this ride last week and it was the first time I’ve been on it I was sooooo scared but it was bloody amazing and I went on it like ten times with my brothersI went Friday
Fantastic Megan so did i
Fantastic Megan i couldnt lift my head up but i didnt pass out because i could see
In 2018 I went with my ex-bff we rlly enjoyed it good memories...
I WENT ON THIS RIDE SO EPICK
I was there for a school trip today and I went on the 3 time it's terrifying
I always go here every year- I’ve never been on this ride because I’m such a wimp :)
I went on this when it was at American Adventure - school trip.. first theme park visit.. year 5 or 6 I think.. but yeah it broke down at the top of the first drop - remember being stuck their for a short while until we was slowly brought to the bottom and told to get off... literally days later I remember seeing the news about it being out of service... was the last thing I heard about it until I learned the entire theme park isn't even there any more...
Omg I went on Wipeout Yesterday omg I think I peed my pants LOL but I got a magnet and me and my friend are screaming on it Ha ha
I had to put my feet on the board in front as I thought I was gonna fall out lol
Pleasurewood hills is my local park and I love wipeout is such great ride
snakeyjakey10778 snakeyjakey10778 uhhhhh
snakeyjakey10778 snakeyjakey10778 is your name oli??????????????
My favorite ride at pleasurewood, second is Jolly rancher.
Went on this ride last year and remember getting rlly bad neck cramps when it went backwards
Same here. I remember getting off with my Neck feeling like jelly. Assuming it may be the hard neck restraints.
I love this ride
Is this the same ride what was originally at West Midlands Safari park then the American adventure I loved this ride as a kid 😀😀
It was indeed
This ride freaks me out I went on it and kept banging my head
I got stuck lmao last time I went, hopefully not again tomorrow’s trip 🙏🏼
Update* I did it, TWICE was gonna go a third time and maybe more, unfortunately couldn’t due to closing times :( but defo going Again soon!
I loved this place
It's a good park
went on it twice yesterday- wooh
I went on this and it was all good until it started going backwards
i rode this at american avventure, it was really great.
I like the tiny bursts of wew from the rider lol
I actually rode it in October when I went but it broke down when we arrived. Few hours later it was back on after I noticed from the swing ride
Thanks Shawn
I went on it and I passed out 😂😂😂
I passed out on this ride and I was out for pretty much the whole thing it must have been the second upside down all the way to the last but I’m not sure I don’t remember
That made dizzy just watching it
I went on this ride about 20 times the other day with my cousin because there was never any queues
I went on this when it was missile at American adventure 🙂 fab ride use to be a bit rough though
I went on there today it was so fuckung fun I went on there 11 times with my bestie I fainted the first time thiu
1:26 moment of silence for the people there facing exactly at the sun
I went on wipeout alot when i was able to go and yet i get wierd feelings that im on the ride still
I've been on a ride exactly the same as this, at pleasure island cleethorpes
I went on I about an hour ago and I loved it
Same i went on 3 times today its amazing
It got stuck at the top nearer the end of the day luckily wasn't onboard
Omg i remember this as missile at American adventure
I rode this ages ago ;)
Those rides look awesome but I have never been on one of them before
I wouldn't recommend it as your first ever extreme based roller coaster though, see my comment and tell me if you agree, as I wasn't fearless the very first time I rode the Wipeout; my face looked petrified.
The only Vekoma Boomerang I've ever ridden. The queues were massive when I went back in 2011, so sadly I only managed the one go. The only cred I didn't manage was Enigma. I drew the line at an 1 & 1/2hr queue for it with my kids in tow! lol.
If the queues were massive, it must be a very popular attraction. I too only managed one ride on the Wipeout.
Sam Bee Enigma gets massive queues due to the lower height restriction and single train operation. I'll get on it one day though! ;) Wipeout was great fun!
LittlestarRed I was talking about the Wipeout, that too gets massive queues sometimes. Probably because it is a very popular attraction.
Sam Bee Sorry, silly me! Yes it is very popular!!
LittlestarRed I was waiting in the queue for for about an hour and a half just to go on the Wipeout.
My favourite was the rattlesnake ( R.I.P ) so I had a go on this when I was like 7 and it’s all I go on now 😂
Abbi_ Unicorn, did you not know it’s the Egg-Spress now?
Charlie Burke, I know......
I’m going here and I hate rollercoasters but I promised my friend I’d do it 😂😭😭
Pleasure wood hills use to be a nice family day out and now it is a park with either massive rides or boring rides 1 star
tornadic 19 i rate it 5 star
Worst bit is the start when you drop down the rest isnt that bad and I’ve been on it like 20x+ times
I love wipeout it’s brilliant
I find Jolly Roger scarier tho
Anyone noticed that the font two inventions together are shaped like a wave
I literally live next to it
Been on it and it so 🔥🔥🔥
who I've just noteced is that the beach radio?
+Ben Lake It sure is
I’m going on it tomorrow
that Norfolk ride was scary on the way back/second half
