I congratulate you for that review of this fighter plane. You will have the ERTL Force One line since there are very few planes and I just got an F-14 Tom Cat from this line.

The Curtiss Tomahawk P-40B was as good as the P-40 line would ever be. Successive models of P-40 had better armament, that is, six (6) M2 Colt 0.50 caliber machine guns but were heavier while the Allison 1710-V liquid cooled engine remained the same. Subsequent P-40 models were slower and slower all the way down to 340 mph while the P-40B could reach 367 mph, making it much faster than its 1942 adversary, the Japanese A6M2 Zero-sen which reached 311 mph.
P-40B pilots in 1942 felt the plane's armament of two, 0.50 caliber machine guns and four, .30 machine guns were sufficient to shoot down the flimsy Japanese fighters and bombers, which lacking armor and self-sealing fuel tanks, exploded when struck by a full burst.
Still, the P-40 Tomahawk and Warhawks earned eternal fame in the annals of air combat in World War Two.

Nice detail work, decals and paint scheme the OD and Grey really smooth , cockpit color right, and instrument panel stands out well. Not sure on the red and blue, there was a blue light on left side near cockpit that specified max crew weight 200 pounds, in my youth would not be a problem :-) The propeller was black, yellow tip but maybe early variant could have been unpainted Silver would reflect too much sun.. You're right, pilot nicely painted but looks like Michael in the horror movie series :-) Definitely give him a wash... However that's not a show stopper, I wouldn't kick it out of the hanger for sure. What's up next? Great thing about these kits are the quality stays consistent and the weight of die cast is nice. Good to see you and this new series.
