Imagine the stranger things characters encounter the space marines and then grow up later to find out about warhammer 40k with its same characters when it was created in 1987
While I agree that this is how it would go, OP hero smashing all bad guys without a chance of losing isn't an interesting story. Protagonist should only be an aspirant, or maybe a neophite who starts off wounded or without his gear, then add extra difficulties. Maybe the knight has to kill Veccna quietly or else alert a nearby Lord of Change? Strict time limit? Veccna could have some hostage or fragile artifact that needs to be rescued alive/intact? There should be something to give an actual chance of failure.
That kind of talk is what gets you an unannounced visit from the inquisition lol. In all seriousness, SM die all of the time in the lore because they may be leaps and bounds above us mortals, what they were created to fight are also leaps and bounds beyond us. So when you throw the SM into a universe without those threats, they aren't going to fail nor will they take it easy on their prey
Honestly it would be really hard to beat something that was created by a god who is also meant to be a monster in warfare. Fighting enemies mankind was never meant to fight and not only winning but striking fear in thehearts of the enemy. But all in all cool content
Grey nights would right side up the upside down easier than kaldor peels a tangerine
A Grey Knight vs Dollar store psychic Tyrranids and 1 Emo psyker.
I wonder who'll win.
A Grey Knight would turn the Upside Down into the Inside Out
I don't think even the mindflayer would stand a chance
So for you know the next time, Grey Knight's do not use Sergeants instead being named Justicars.
Should be titled "A space marine in the kiddy glove warp."
It would be the doom slayer, but much, much, much more brutal.
Bro a Grey Knight would literally stand there.
and pull the demogorgons arms off.
*Vecna after first attack didn't do any damage:
"I'm in danger..."
Next up: the minotaur vs a litter of kittens
It wouldn’t even be a competition
