@@TheCricketDigest all u said in the video is that both sides become the batsman's offside while playing the reverse sweep and switch hit. Probably u can do a video focused on that shot alone. I've sn international umpires get this wrong and if those at that level can get it wrong wat about those who aren't at that level
@@t3knyn from the cricket law side of it there is nothing more to it. If the batter attempts switch hit or reverse sweep both the sides becomes off side. Sorry, there is nothing more to add. As we mentioned previously, if you have any specific question related to any specific question then please ask us.
If a right-handed batsman is not in the normal guard position and is standing 5-6 stumps to the leg side before the ball is bowled, but the batsman returns to the normal guard position when the bowler releases the ball and bowl is going leg side, will it still be considered a wide ball as it would be considered as legal delivery if batsman has not return to normal guard?
Please can you explain leg side wides further? Law 22.1.1 clearly states “where the striker is standing or has stood at any point after the ball came into play”. According to law 20.5, the ball comes into play when the bowler starts their run up (or bowling action if there’s no run up). So when a striker shuffles towards the off stump towards the very end of the bowler’s run up (like Kohli and many others), shouldn’t the leg side wide mark be based on where the striker was standing as the bowler was starting the run up?
For the leg side wide ball if one of the leg in air while leaving the ball on leg side considering it wide if ball goes below that leg in air.. is it a wide ball or not??
Bro for a wide ball , the line's which are very close to stump are also have some rules right. I will explain . If there is a right handed batter and left handed bowler and he ball over the wicket so in this scenario, if the right handed batter move towards his forward side and the ball went very close to the leg stump (under the line which I mentioned earlier) then I think it's a legal ball . If I am wrong then please explain me

@@TheCricketDigestHello Sir again, So in the video, what happened between the times 1:40 to 1:45, the batsman is standing at his normal guard position, ball is outside the Wide Line, and thus it IS indeed a Wide Ball ? Visually it seems the ball is within the batsman’s reach even if he is not making contact. Thanks a lot.
