Looking forward to all the Rochester vlogs. My husband was born and raised in Irondequoit. Head over to Abbott's Frozen Custard at Ontario Beach. Best frozen custard ever!
Omg I love Jen's shirt and nails. ❤ Nice to meet you Jen! Definitely learned a lot about jello today lol Thanks for the awesome vid. I'm so glad you are happy!
I was born and raised in Rochester and then moved to Warsaw just outside of Leroy. I live in Florida now so it was great seeing those places again. I miss garbage plates so much
First I want to say that you And Jen make A Beautiful match Really Awesome couple💏💗 I'm from Niagara Falls N.Y been here All of my life I've Never been To Rochester N.Y I've Passed over Rochester many times. Rochester is a Unique town This is the first time Ever Seeing The Jello Museum It was Wonderful it was Amazing. That food looked So Good Everything that we New Yorkers Love to munch on in one plate. Thank you my Friend Jacob and Jen for Another Great Video.
Any mention of Jack Benny in the museum? JELL-O sponsored his popular radio program for a number of years until 1942. Amazing how they’d work JELL-O ads into the script. Great video.
I literally never knew that red hots and white hots were a Rochester thing. I’ve lived here my whole life, and it took me 23 years to know that. Also, it’s so cool that you’re in Rochester again. It’s nice seeing my city being recognized. You should go visit the Seneca Park Zoo if you ever have the chance, and Seabreeze Amusement Park! Those are two of my favorite places to go. If you also want something a little less know, you should check out this little mini golf/go cart area called Club House Funcenter. It’s a really nice place, and lots of fun!
The old Shoney's restaurant used to do strawberry fluff in their salad bar, which was strawberry Jell-o powder mixed with whipped cream. Pistachio pudding box powder with whipped cream starts the making of Watergate salad.
A garbage plate sounds great!! After a nice Saturday morning run, getting one of those would be amazing! Great video as always Jacob. I've not seen Jen before, congratulations to both of you!
The home of the Fox sisters is still there. Most of it is in the process of being rebuilt. Go to Hydesville Memorial Park. It is very easy to become addicted to Garbage Plates
Awww! I'm so happy we got to meet Jen. You guys are adorable! Thanks for showing us the Jell-o museum and I need to try a garbage plate! It looks amazing!
Still enjoying the videos, but I’m gonna keep commenting this in hopes it happens, please visit the original site of 1969 Woodstock in NY, it’s at the bethel woods center for the arts, there is a museum
Was not aware of those 3 Sisters. Appreciate that info. Glad to see that at the Jello Museum that they eliminated the room that had the TV with Bill Cosby playing. LOL Always room for a Great Garbage Plate- Yummy
Very nice episode again Jacob, with lots of interesting oddities to see, especially towards the end. Really enjoyed it, thank you. Bless you both, you deserve it.
The Fox sisters were biological sisters. One story I heard, the younger sisters said they were fake because they got tired of the oldest sister running their lives. Not 100% sure on that though.
What a delight to meet the elusive Jen at last! Hope this won't be the last time. BTW, Jacob, about that image of the little girl being fed her medicine in a dessert -- the description in the caption explains she's recovering from the measles, which was quite a dangerous disease back then. She deserved a nice treat! Medicine camouflaged in a sweet was common enough, possibly still is. I remember having my tonsils out back in the early 1950s; when I woke up I was in a ward full of children, and we were all given a little dish of ice cream as a treat that would also soothe our painful throats. One little boy caused a fuss about it: didn't want the ice cream. So the nurses just gave him the little pill and some ice water. And then told the rest of us that we should follow the example of that brave little boy and not have to have our meds hidden in ice cream. Almost seventy years ago, and I *still* can feel that sense of betrayal I felt back then! :-D
Man, grown-ups can be treacherous. I had my tonsils removed when I was six. Didn't get my ice-cream until discharged from hospital. We stopped at the drug store on our way home and Mom got me some at the soda fountain counter. Only time I can recall eating ice-cream not being fun because it hurt to swallow.
I was born in Canandaigua, New York. I always used to visit Rochester, New York to see my grandparents and my uncle. So that’s cool you’re in the general area of my childhood.
I'm not a brain scientist but I can tell you why Jell-o appears to have brain waves. It's the same reason that an EKG readout alone is not enough to tell you if someone is still alive. The machine is very sensitive and easily picks up the noise from electronic equipment in the room.
Awww you two look adorbs 😍 Great video! Hope you’re able to visit during the peak of the Lilac Festival. Its so beautiful and smells amazing. Love seeing my hometown but moved years ago to Florida. The winter storms are bone chilling with that Lake Effect snow 🥶
We finally get to meet Jen! That’s so exciting! She’s so pretty Jacob and you look so happy together! We can’t wait to see more videos of you guys together 😊

I love Jell-O. The molds remind of the molds my mom used to use. I like both the gelatin desserts and puddings.

Every Easter my wife has kept the tradition for over 25 years of making lots of Jello eggs when she inherited her mother's Jello egg molds.

When ever I was in Rochester, back in the day I always had to get Country Sweet. Don’t know if they are still around.
There are actually 2 locations, now. But the original, is still the best.
Jen(n) is really cute! Happy for you both! 🙂
Was not aware of those 3 Sisters. Appreciate that info. Glad to see that at the Jello Museum that they eliminated the room that had the TV with Bill Cosby playing. LOL Always room for a Great Garbage Plate- Yummy
I have a Jell-O cookbook. Different recipes using Jell-O. Including the old Jell-O 1-2-3.
Jen is darling. I had never heard of the Jello Museum. Interesting what museums are out there. Have a good week.

You can’t go wrong with the Carpetbagger eating Jell-o at the Jell-o Museum. Have fun Jake!
I was born in Canandaigua, New York. I always used to visit Rochester, New York to see my grandparents and my uncle. So that’s cool you’re in the general area of my childhood.
My grandmother used to make tomato jello, I kid you not. Not pleasant. You can give it to the kewpies!
😳🤮
Where is aunt Bethanys jello mold with the cat food on it? 😁 iykyk
