We mainly use iPhone 11 Pro and Samsung S8 for video as well as Nikon D850 and D500 for stills. We’re now looking to buy gimbals so information like this is incredibly useful. I use a case for my iPhone 13 pro max from AliExpress which is soooo much lighter than the smallrig. I also turn the iPhone upside down so the microphone input is available, it all works perfectly. Thanks for your video. Barry Spain 🇪🇸

Hello Zdenka. After I watched you nindga walk result, ordered this Gimbal. Yes from gimbal CanNot control in my camera anything (Sony Zv-E10 with 15mm F1,4 on top), but small size for me more important. Got Sony Wireless shooting grip (was planning anyway) and use it instead small supplied tripod. Thank you for good job!
The Crane M3 works flawlessly with GH5 M2 with Nocticron 42.5 F/1.2. You do have to turn the gimble upside down for underslung mode, but with smaller lenses the normal underslung method works. After auto calibrate change motor torgue to low, yes Low, seems odd but it works. The 42.5 f/1.2 on its own weighs 425 grams. This is a mighty little gimble

I plan to buy this model gimbal mainly for it's size. I believe it will work very well with my Sigma FP. Looking for something capable that isn't too heavy so I can use it for extended time without wearing myself out.

Yes you can mount it on the gimbal but you will have hard time using all gimbal modes all the way. If you only want to use smartphone I would look at other options as well though like Moza mini P or Zhiyun smooth 5
And all I ever wanted was a gimbal to balance the Note 9 with a case on it 👀 . I really like!! The footage is great but i can’t believe they don’t have an app.
Zdenka! Once again, thanks for the review. Do you think this is the best option for hybrid (smartphone/small DSLR) use? I never though about getting only one gimbal for everything, but this might be it! I love the light with temperature control and dimmer. No other gimbal does this, right? Do you think they will add a smartphone app eventually?
By the way, There's a Zhiyun belt available with 1/4 lock screw you can use with a small pole extension so most of the weigth tension goes to the waist and not the arm. I'm surprised something like this is not commonly used for vlogging.
Thank you very much for your comments. If you have light camera there are other gimbals which are suitable as well. I personally prefer smartphone gimbal for smartphone as it is way easier to set up. If I would be someone who uses both than yes I would use this. I have no idea if they add the app …..

Another fantastic review, This gimbal is almost perfect for my needs, only thing is no APP with tracking features, this is a deal breaker for me :( the design and size and ergonomics are beautiful. Do you know if Zhiyun are planning on releasing an APP for this ? So disappointed after watching this.

Hey Zdenka, again a great and useful review. Just one question: in your gear-list I see, you are using moondoglab Multi-Camera Filter Mount V2 on the SmallRig Cage for the iPhone 13Pro? In the official compatibility table of Moondoglabs it is still not released. If the Filter Mount V2A is working with the SmallRig Cage it should also work with the Moment iPhone 13 Pro Thin Case? Do you have any experiance? Thanks for your kind advise.
You are very welcome. It will be way better for Moment thin case. It is extremely tight on small rig. I already told them that it is extremely difficult to put on or take off. I also mentioned in smallrig cage video
Hello I am trying to make the right purchase decision between SMOOTH 5 vs M3 Crane. I am new to gimbals and never used one previously. I am aware that M3 Crane doesn't have a mobile app, and I will be using the gimbal mainly with iPhone 13 pro max. I am aware that I will missing some feature with M3 Crane like hyperlapse etc because it does not have mobile app, the question is will i be able to use app of my choice in my mobile phone? and how the fact that this app will not be connected to the gimbal will affect the overall use of the gimbal and the outcome I get. As a beginner it might be a bit challenging for you…. I would go with something cheap first just to learn things. Yes you can use any app but it will be only for stabilization of your video, nothing else

I am afraid You have to catch ""TransMount CRANE-M3 Expansion Base" (Item is included only in CRANE-M3 PRO pack) to build up Wi-Fi connection between the gimbal and camera.
Were those your offspring? It appeared that they didn't want you around bothering them. 😂😂 About that gimbal....it's expensive, not something I'd consider if I were just starting out. When I first starterd my YT channel I had planned on including some vlogging, but later realized I wasn't quite ready for allocating the extra time it required. I'm dedicating more and more time focusing on my music, even photography has taken a back seat. Zdenka. Enjoy all your channel, but on this one you forgot to mention one HUGE issue. This Zhiyun 3 currently costs $369 U.S.!!!! The Moza Mini P is currently $169. Big big difference, over twice as expensive. $369 isn't that far from the $500 price tag on the Moza/DJI/Zhiyun top of the line dslr gimbals. Anyway, keep up the good work.

I would like you to review the Zhiyun Crane M3 using the Canon EOS M50 camera. I like to use the Canon EF-M 22mm F2 STM (Pancake) lens for vlogging however the 22mm does not have lens stabilization, therefore I am hoping the Crane M3 would be a satisfactory solution.
Canon M550 is the same like the camera I was showing not much difference there. Yes it would help with your lens. I however wasn’t able to connect the camera via cable ….
I was wondering as to whats a good fit for my M6 MkII for basic video. Sigma 16mm or The Viltrox 23? I have the Canon 22mm and a 50mm with ef adapter already.

You always deliver great reviews! This review makes me more and more happy with my Fieyutech G6 Max. It has a big payload, is fairly light, and has a smartphone app (not very good, but does have some special effects like time-lapse) Plus, it only costs $230. The Zhiyun is more refined, but not much more capable, and it's just over 1/2 the price.
I like this gimbal for is versatility . I can use my Old Canon T7I with a wide angle lens and my iPhone 13 Pro Max with one gimbal . Then I can get rid of my old Dji Osmo 2 and my Zhiyun Cran 2

If you wait two more weeks, there is another one coming out with 400 g payload…. Trust me it is worth the wait.
