I like the fact that Obaseki is beginning to fine tune his disposition towards Shaibu’s ambition, he has a right to contest and whether he wins or not shouldn’t be up to the governor but to the good people of Edo state

A word of caution. Gov Obaseki does not have the power to decide who the contestants are. Deputy Shaibu should also refrain from saber rattling by boasting he will defeat his principal's candidate.
They both should remember that LEGACY PDP offered them a political lifeline when they were despondent.
Legacy PDP CannoT decide either who will be the NexT Governor in Edo State. It is the Edo people that will ultimately make that DECISION!!!!!

My point was that they should both work together with their party. In particular, the Governor should unite his party bearing in mind they are both relative newcomers in the party.
If they opt for factional infighting, they can both lose out.
The last parliamentary and Presidential elections should be enough warning.
In Edo state,Benin city, people go to the bank, only to be given five thousand naira. When they have money in the bank. With the present high cost of living . What is governor Obaseki doing to help the poor . Also when is the state going to effect the noise polution enviromental polition law most especially at Ikpoba okha local government area. When are the officials if already appointed going to start implementing this laws.
